    MA Design & Construction Co
This is the second time I have used MA Design and Construction for a project in my house. Both times were great. For the most recent job, they framed up a partially finished basement, added carpet, leveled the ceiling, added a door and electrical outlets and insulated and painted the walls. The finished product looked great. I have found them super easy to work with - they are always very responsive to any questions that I have and they are great about communicating. I plan to have them do additional work for us in the future.

    Tingley Electric Services Inc
Quick identification of the source of the problem, Because 2 small wires remained unconnected to new recently replaced circuit board, the fix was easy, demonstrated, and completed quickly and fastidiously (as usual) with a friendly big smile.

    VMA Electric Inc
VMA Electrical is superb on every level. The owner, Victor, came out personally to my home and gave an estimate within three days of my phone call. He provided a fair and reasonable price for the services to be performed. Victor is a great guy and you immediately feel you know he will do a good job on your project. Lorrayne, who runs the office, is a rare example of someone in this day and age who know how to give excellent customer service and make her customers happy. She answers phone calls and emails immediately and is so polite and helpful. The two men who came to do the actdual work, Matt and Tyler, were excellent - they are consummate professionals - considerate, clean and hard workers. They worked from early morning until late afternoon every day and finished my project a day early. They left the house immaculate and they were wonderful at answering my questions and getting the work done in a superb, timely manner. I could not have been happier with my choiceof VMA Elecric; you feel you are dealing with a very happy family of professionals!. I recommend them without any reservations whatsoever and I will certainly hire them again in the future.

    Sunrun Solar, Residential
This review is based almost exclusively on my experiences in service transfer at the time of my home sale. The solar panels were originally installed by Sungevity, and Sunrun played no part in it. Shortly after the installation, Sunrun purchased Sungevity's business. I did not receive any maintenance service by Sunrun, because the panels and electrical system did not experience any problems. They just sent me a billing notice every month. I had no interactions with them until I notified them that I had put the house on the market. That's when they assigned a service transfer coordinator. The transfer process was rather frustrating for the following reasons: (1) At one point, I was informed that a representative of Sunrun had told that the buyers of the house (who had submitted the Offer to Purchase, which was subsequently executed) could not contact Sunrun for info during the transfer process. As a result, as the finalization of P&S agreement was approaching, I had to shoulder the burden of collecting info for the buyers. My transfer coordinator told me that should not have been the case, and did not know who had said that to the buyers. Nevertheless, it was very confusing and annoying. (2) Throughout the transfer process, I was not sure where things stood. What other documents needed executing, who should do what next, etc. I had to contact the coordinator what to be done next. I feel that the coordinator was not very proactive. Moreover, as the coordinator was located in California with a 3-hour time time difference, the process got even more cumbersome more often than not, as a response was not immediately available at times. (3) Near but BEFORE the end of the process (a few days before the Close of the sale), I received an email, saying that Sunrun had closed the transfer case because it had learned that the house was taken off the market. While the coordinator apologized, saying that the email was generated and sent by error, it added greatly to my confusion when I was feeling left in the dark. There was no explanation why such erroneous message was sent out. And then, a few days AFTER the sale closed, I received a voicemail from the transfer coordinator, talking about an account setup, etc., intended for the new owner of the house. Clearly they have some issues about managing information. (4) Before the sale of the house, my household had already purchased a new home, and moved in there two months before the Close. And I wanted to get solar panels for the new house. So, I asked twice - once via a generic inquiry on the Sunrun website and the second time via a direct email to sales@sunrun, regarding a project for the new house. I received no response whatsoever. I received a promotional footnote at the very end of the last email sent by the coordinator after all transfer was done, but it was way too late. At that point, I had already hired another company located in Massachusetts. I guess Sunrun is not so interested in a new business.

    HILLCREST ELECTRIC CORP
We bought our home in the fall of 2018, a 100+ year old colonial with great bones and a lot of small projects to take care of. The house had been in the same family since it was built, and we had some older wiring techniques that our home inspector said should be addressed right away. Bill and the folks at Hillcrest Electric were great to work with, fast, and super friendly. Bill explained all of our options for each wiring issue, and gave us some detail about what needed to be updated, what didnt, and why. They even came back without charge when a small secondary issue popped up a week later. I would recommend them without hesitation.

    E R Electric
This company went above and beyond. Not only did they upgrade the electric box and service as they were supposed to, but they also added 3 extra small outlets for my cable service and other things that now look awesome. Before they arrived the electrical closet down stairs was a mess, now it looks great! Thanks guys!

    LANCASTER HOME REMODELING
John and his assistant were super responsive from the beginning: inspecting the job site, planning and scheduling, applying for the permits, starting and finishing the job pretty much on time. Our case was a special case since it needed special permits and involved a lot of legal representation with the city. They were very helpful throughout the process of getting us ready for the permits. His work started right on time and he finished on time. He kept the site clean as we were living in the building while he worked on the basement. Was very professional in the work he did and they way he did it. Always consulted us on variations from the plan, was very flexible with our changes to the plan. Everything was cleaned after the job was done and the whole project went very smoothly. He did great job (woodwork) on a minibar and shelves he made for us. Rest of the work including the parts that his subcontractors did went smooth and came our great! I have been using the basement for about 4-5 month now and have had no issues. I recommended him already to a few of the close friends. Great experience!

    3G's Construction
Top reasons I would hire Rich / 3Gs again and again: Consistent, high-quality work Great eye for design, and outside the box thinking for tricky design problems Open / available for communication - (even on weekends and at night!) Honesty and trustworthiness - (I never felt unsafe leaving them in my house alone, or having them come and go when we were on vacation.) Tireless work ethic (I truly feel Rich strives to produce the best product he can, including negotiating pricing with vendors to save his clients money!) Now that you have skimmed the Cliff Notes above, heres a bit about our most recent experience: Our new stairs are gorgeous because of Rich and his crew! After 3Gs did a stunning job on our bathroom / bedroom gut & remodel, we again enlisted their expertise on what we thought would be a fairly small job 3 landings done in hardwood, and 3 stairs fitted with oak treads where there was once carpet. Little did we know that whomever built our house in the first place had a very different idea of what structurally sound meant! Our small job quickly turned into a large one as demo progressed and we saw the extent of the poor construction underneath, but fortunately no job is too large for 3Gs! They ended up replacing almost everything on our staircase in total, 12 newel posts, 16 oak treads, 3 new sets of stringers, rerouted some electrical, and most importantly, new joists to carry the loads properly and make sure everything was structural and safe. Although having a small job grow to a large one was on occasion stressful, Rich was always there with a kind word, some humor, and his consistent delivery of high quality work. He and his crew are truly a pleasure to work with, and he has become more like a friend than a contractor over the course of the project. He and his guys were also willing to try something new to them (and me) in the design department. After we realized we would be replacing our entire railing system, I decided I wanted a modern aesthetic, and liked the look of CableRail. Rich brought me a brochure on Feeneys cable rail products, and my research and design began. I did some sketches, and we talked through the different design elements of what each choice would look like. We have an odd-sized landing next to each side of our stairs, and how to finish it was one of my biggest concerns. Even though I have a design background, I just couldnt visualize it. Rich came over on two different Saturdays just to talk through the placement of the newel posts, how the railings would run, and how to finish the landings. At one point I even changed my mind after I saw where the posts would be anchored no matter he had his guys take the stringers apart and rework them to accommodate my new design decision. He was there to make sure my vision became a reality, and I am thrilled with the finished product!! I would hire Rich / 3Gs construction again without hesitation!

    3G's Construction
Richard was thorough and communicative every step of the way. We always had his full attention... from problem-solving to timing to explaining to me all sorts of things unique to his trade. He encouraged feedback and accommodated my preferences as much as possible. His team was polite, friendly, articulate and everything they did was high quality. When some unexpected changes came up, he pushed through, took the heat and got us what we needed. Our new room is stunning and we are already thinking about the next project we can do with him.
