    American Appliance
I used American because they could come to my house a few days before my appointment with another company. Billy came on time, and it was clear he was familiar with the cook top and the problem. Unfortunately he did not have the wrench of the right size (which happens to be 20mm) so he could not disassemble the cook top. He made an estimate, and gave me the option to buy replacement parts from Sears Parts Direct myself if I wanted to. It turned out Sears did not have all the parts, so I asked American to get the part that Sears did not have, and bought the rest myself. At the next visit, the replacement part that Billy brought did not fit, because the cook top was an old model and there were two variants for the potentiometer. That part was discontinued. So Billy went back again, and eventually got the two units that I needed. It took a third visit to finally fix everything. Over the three visits, Billy did quality repair work, and was very candid in explaining things to me.

    VH Improvement Inc
It went very well. We worked with VH on design ideas, I share there feedback with my architect. They also presented a detailed contract and were easy work with for my bank. After selecting them, VH go to right to work. It was very easy to work closely with VH. On everything, from the vetting/selection process, start of work, change orders (making changes to scope of work, like adding new door, changing configuration of closet, etc.), easy to work with on selection of finishes (basically her let us do whatever we wanted (of course he share his opinion, but ultimately was supportive of our decisions). He kept me informed on what was happening and was very responsive to any question. He had very good influence of an sub-contractor he worked with and approached any of that work as his own.

    Speedy's Appliance Service
We went on Angie's list to find an appliance repairman. We found "Speedy's Appliance Service." The owner, Ishmael, is a repairman like no other! He worked on our dishwasher for 1 hr and 15 minutes. After he finished, Ishmael gave us some tips for fixing the problem ourselves in the future, and he told us how to "McGiver" repairs on other recurrent problems. He also showed us how to find more economical parts than Sears. When we were about to write a check, he refused our payment. First, we are to use the dishwasher and make sure it is working, in which case we are to call him and he will send us a bill for a reasonable $79. If it's still not working, NO CHARGE! Really??? We've never heard of a repairman who takes responsibility for actually repairing the appliance. No question! Ishmael is our go-to guy for future repairs! In addition, he is friendly, soft spoken, intelligent and a total gentleman. I am gushing over Ishmael because we have had such bad experiences in the past with appliance repairs. And the dishwasher is working great now!

    Speedy's Appliance Service
Ishmael called me back the same day I left a message for him. He offered to come by to look at the dryer that day (so fast!). He went through diagnosing the problem with me and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He found the issue was in the timer (quite rare compared to most common problems), and even took it apart to look at it if it was possible to be fixed. Turned out to just be a little loose and he was able to fix the connections inside. Very satisfied customer here!

    Stewart Appliance Service
Randy was very knowledgeable and helpful when I initially spoke with him on the telephone about the problem symptoms.  He ordered the parts that were required, and arrived promptly at the scheduled time, fully prepared to complete the repair.  He is honest, and his price was very reasonable.  I will contact him again for any appliance service needs.

    Same Day Service Company Inc
The person who came to fix the gas dryer was very courteous and professional. I thought that the price estimate was a bit high but I needed it fixed so I agreed. After the quote, he immediately began doing the work as agreed. He found that the venting needed to be replaced also, and he did not charge me for this since it wasn't in his estimate. I was very happy with that fact and it made the price seem a bit more acceptable.
I would definitely use this company again, they showed up when they said they would and everyone I spoke with was very professional.

    Northeast Appliance Pro's Inc.
It was great. There was an additional charge because they had to put in a part that obviously wouldn't have been covered. The only charge beyond what we paid on the Angie's list thing was the charge for the part itself. It might have been $80. They were very responsive. They showed up exactly when they said. They finished it in the same trip that they came. They didn't try to push off the work or anything. So, he just showed up one time and he was able to fix it, even though there was an extra part required.

    Mr. Appliance of Central MA
This place is a joke. The tech who was really nice and was able to fix our dryer but was not able to find a leak in our washer machine despite it dumping water sporadically all over the floor. The tech was extremely clear on the action he was going to take to report the issue but instead reported that no problem was found. I called repeatedly to try and discuss this with Mr. Appliance and after over a dozen messages, neither the tech of the owner has called me back to date. Will they finally be honorable and reach out after seeing this review? Probably not. Do not do business with these people. They do not stand behind what they say and have zero accountability. A 5 minute callback could have resolved this but instead I have to now seek other means to escalate it. Disgusting experience!

    Rick's Appliances And TV's Inc
We had an LG washing machine that failed after 8 months of use. The part needed was not currently available and estimated to come in within 2 weeks. This was covered under warranty, so LG was in contact with Rick's Appliance to pay for the repair directly. LG apparently called Rick's Appliance "too much" (unknown to us. this is LG contacting Rick's directly and is out of our control) so 1 week after coming out to inspect the unit, Rick's said that it was too much of a hassle and they were cancelling the order. Completely unprofessional. I strongly do not recommend using them.

    Automatic Appliance Service Inc
Service provider arrived 1 hour after I called. The dryer, although functioning, exhibited severe squeaking noise when operated.
.It is Maytag model at least 20 years old. Technician quickly diagnosed cause and replaced worn rollers and belt lubed it. The
dryer now operates as if new. I was prepared to junk it, however by making that call I avoided at  least $700 expense of a new
    purchase.
