    Nana Jana's Newborn Care, etc.
Nana Jana was an excellent and loving caregiver. She was extremely reliable, had great intuition and took the initiative to make sure my son was safe, happy and learning new things. We would love to have continued to have her care for our children but we moved to the East coast.

Barbara F. showed up promptly, and was flexible with her available time. Simply a wonderful experience for us and for our very active, potty-training 2-year-old daughter (who asked the next day where Barbara was and missed her). Will definitely call next time we need help!

    South Shore Stars
They provide after school services and are also a daycare for preschoolers. They also run summer camps. The environment is friendly, and they know the names of all the kids and parents. They have several play rooms, books, coloring materials, computers, X-Boxes, ping pong tables, and outside activities.

Circle of Friends Preschool and Children's Center
We give him all the snacks but it's all entertaining him, there's education, and socialization. They have music classes, there's integration with older children, walks, open air, and that kind of thing. We chose this because one, it's proximity to our house, two was recommendation from a couple we knew whose child also went there, and third was that we visited that day care and some other day care in the area and liked the staff and the environment. There's a lock so you have to ring a buzzer and then an authorized person will let you in. My wife and I do not have to show ID's but anybody else on our authorized list will have to. It's expensive anywhere you go with. My son's day is at 7:30 drop off in the morning and then we can pick him up the latest at 6 p.m.

My sons have both gone here for preschool and we love it. The teachers are wonderful and my sons have learned a lot.

Leeann is very knowledgeable, experienced, reliable, easy to work with, punctual, professional, and has been an amazing resource and help since my son has been born. Best money I have ever spent.

The quality of the applicants was extremely high and they were all well-vetted. The price is pretty high both for the placement fee and the nanny rates. The only complaint I would have is that they try to get you to sign a complicated three-way contract between the service, the employer and the nanny. I understand that they want to protect their interests but there would be a simpler way to do it with two independent contracts.

Dropped off my two year who was delighted with the space to run, play and socialize while I went to a doctor's appointment. I was really happy with the layout, friendly staff, clean facilities and the fact that they keep the door locked (there's a bell). When I brought her back she was delighted; now she calls it her "school."

I put out a specific date that I need a babysitter for and have received a lot of responses - I can pick & choose who we want to meet with. So far, we've been pretty happy with the providers.

The YMCA after school program is at most, if not all of the elementary schools in Waltham. My son attends three days a week ($71/wk). The activities they do are fun and engaging, and he often comes home from school with his homework completed. They offer help in getting homework done, and encourage the kids to play constructive games and sports. Snacks are generally healthy and my son loves it! Best of all, they have a full-day option at the YMCA for kids in their after-school program who need care on half-days or no-school days. An excellent value!
