Lighting Installation reviews in Medford

    F Kempes General Contractor
Outstanding results from Fernando and his team. Our home really stands out with a classic Craftsman look despite the vinyl material we wanted to use for siding (some would go wood and repaint, but we didn't want the maintenance). Fernando recommended the best material for the look we were going for and we couldn't be happier. Vinyl shingles and siding look like real wood and the color scheme is outstanding with the black gutters and mahogany railing on our porch that he put in on a previous job. From start to finish we were in good hands. Fernando even worked with us thru the home loan process and ensured we had everything we needed to close on our refinance. He and his team really went above and beyond and for a price that is fair and reasonable. Can't recommend highly enough. We are and will use again.

    F Kempes General Contractor
It was a great experience. Fernando Kempes is a very responsive general contractor, pays great attention to detail, is very honest and an all-around nice guy. His subcontractors are terrific. The person who does his tiles is a consummate professional. And his plumber and electrician and his own crew all did a great job. The centerpiece of our remodel is a walk in shower that is stunning. It has subway tile on the walls, a pebble tile shower floor, and ceramic plank tile on the bathroom floor. It also has a gorgeous custom glass shower door and s built-in bench with a quartz seat. We enjoyed working with Fernando and his entire crew.

    Gibbons Electric
We had a very hard time finding an electrician to respond to our calls. I found Gibbons Electric through the Medford Moms Facebook page. Steve responded immediately to my call, came to our house to price the work and set up an appointment. There was some confusion about the date and the workers came at the wrong time but that was easily fixed and we were not charged. The workers were professional, did the work quickly and helped us install a new doorbell even though it wasn't part of the original specs. I would definitely hire them again.

    The Curtice Group
It went beautifully. The construction manager, Carl, was completely on top of everything and a superb craftsmen in his own right Scott, the company owner, and Carl communicated extremely well about the work progress and promptly addressed any concerns we had. The hired subcontractors were all highly skilled. We were regularly sent a spread sheet documenting work and expenses. In short, everything was done in a timely manner and with complete professionalism. Most importantly, we loved the final product!

    D. Flores Construction
It went fantastic. We own a 2 family and we decided to reno our rental bathroom, our only bathroom, and add another bathroom on our 3rd floor. So this project was done in stages so that we could live in one of the units while the other one was being worked on. Dave and his crew came in at the start of March, the redid the rental unit's bath in the time frame he said, even though there were a few delays because we had a few heavy snow storms. Dave really listened to our concerns about the work we were doing for the rental, and we stayed within a reasonable amount of the budget, considering there were unforeseen issues. Once the bottom unit's work was complete, we moved down below and Dave and crew moved upstairs to reno our bathroom, add another bath, reconfigure our 3rd floor, and a ton of other works that goes along with sajob of that size. Not a huge job perhaps, but a decent job for sure. Dave again finished on time, and again within a reasonable budget. We had a lot of add ons to the job, as well as unforeseen issues. So overage was not a surprise at all. I really can't say enough about how awesome it was working with Dave and crew. They were true professionals, not only in the constructions business, but in business overall. They are easy to work with, roll with changes, advice when needed, and in general all around great guys, who know their craft. Our job covered alot of construction projects, so feel free to reach out for details if you are interested in hiring Dave. .

    Sergio's Renovations
We have used Sergio Renovations twice in the past seven years to complete renovations for us. Each was +$45K, I will go into detail on each. Overall Sergio is a pleasure to work with. He is a nice man who prides himself on open communication and has fair and transparent pricing. Sergio walked potential houses with us to give us an estimate to be used during our offers. Getting into houses is often last minute and Sergio was able to accommodate all of our requests. First house: (~$40K) Scope of the project: We gutted the kitchen and bathrooms and knocked down a few walls. We provided Sergio a tight time frame and he came in on time and on budget. At the time of the sale, five years later, because of the great quality of work it all held up well. The workers were always respectful, kept the house clean and were responsive. Second house: (~$50K) Sergio was active in the planning process. He suggested ways to accomplish the task that would save us both time and money. Since we planned to live in the house throughout the renovation he worked hard to not impact our lives and work around our schedule to get the job completed. Scope of the project: We painted the entire house, which included trim in every room, floor and ceiling and around all windows. We updated the kitchen, removed walls (some support walls), gutted and redid a room and added recessed lights. We did not go out to bid because we were pleased working with Sergio the first time. There was some team turnover and minor issues this time but Sergio quickly revolved anything that came up. During the process of completing this renovation we had many "change orders" and he was very patient with us and accommodated the changes as quickly as possible. Again, the team was respectful, hardworking and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We would use Sergio again.

    D. Flores Construction
We had a small bathroom in terrible condition in an old house. David responded quickly to our initial queries and provided a competitive estimate. We had to have the bathroom gutted and the window, floor, walls, ceiling and all fixtures replaced and a ceiling fan installed. We were very happy we chose to work with David, he was friendly and happy to explain everything, and responded positively to our requests. Either he or his subcontractors came every day until the job was finished (which was important to us because it was our only full bathroom!). He cleaned up every day, and took care of all of the demolition and construction debris. Cost wise, we paid for the fixtures and tile, all the rough material and lumber and trash removal we covered as part of the job. Speaking of subcontractors, we were also very happy with the subcontractors David brought in for plumbing and electrical. They did their work efficiently and were likewise friendly and nice to deal with. We had been led to believe that inspections could be a headache, but David and the subcontractors dealt with the inspections promptly and with no issues at all. The results are beautiful. The tile work on the floor and the walls around the tub is immaculate. The walls and ceiling are smooth, and he did wonderful trim work, including some extra around an in-wall radiator. We have a window in the shower and he replaced it with exactly what we asked for, and tiled it in perfectly. Everything is beautiful (we no joke that it's the nicest room in the house) and we could not possibly have asked for better results. We will certainly go to David for any other work we need done on the house, no hesitation.

    Northern Lights Electric Inc
Northern Light's quote was slightly higher than the other 2 electrical contractors I called, but they were the most responsive and detailed which is what I appreciate the most. I replaced a total of 4 ceiling light fixtures, two vanity lights, and two bathroom ceiling vents. They were able to supply everything. They came right on time and got the job done promptly and professionally.

    Busy-Bee Construction LLC
Our journey started at the end of July, finishing just yesterday with the last inspection. I have chronicled the process on Facebook, from the demo to the last bit of paint. There are not enough words to say about Busy Bee, John, Gary or his team that could explain how easy and stress free this was.(as much as a complete kitchen remodel can be....) All the things you expect---showing up every day, cleaning up at the end of the day, having the items to install at the right time, politeness ....they do all that. Its the extras that set them apart. The communication about anything so you never have to guess what is going to happen. The PATIENCE when things take longer or are damaged and making sure it gets done in a timely manner. When problems arise, addressing them immediately and personally. Covering everything so well in plastic there was minimal construction dust. (and I mean very little) Above all, the kindness and patience in answering EVERY one of my questions, sometimes twice, until I understood the process or choices. And then there is the work itself. There is a sense of contentment knowing that every wall board, cabinet, screw, tile and light is installed with the utmost professionalism and care. We stayed within our budget, even when we added things and took things out....and was so very reasonable. I can not recommend them highly enough, and I could not be happier. Until next time..............
