  • Switched to H/V a couple years ago for primary care when my previous PCP retired. Everything was fine for a couple of years of physicals. Then I hurt my back and had a terrible experience. I had a couple of preliminary appointments was referred to PT and given Anti-Inflammatories. The PT aggravated my injury (severe sciatic nerve pain), the medication didnt help. So I requested an MRI, after the MRI I was referred to H/V spine center in Boston but had to wait 3 weeks for the appointment. After a couple of days I realized I was in too much pain to wait that long. So I called multiple times asking if they could help expedite my appointment or give me an alternate referral. The receptionists just said they would send a note to the Dr but I never got any response. Finally I decided to start looking for a new PCP in the process of doing this I found out Emerson Hospital has there own spine center in the same office park as the H/V office I go to in Concord. When I called them I got an appt in 6 days, which was by this time the day after the H/V/Boston appointment. So kept both appointments. Both had the same conclusion that Cortisone shot was next step to treat herniated disk. H/V first opening was a full month away. Emerson was 5 days later. If I had known about Emerson's spine center and had called them right after the MRI they said they would have seen me very quickly. So H/V lack of caring/responsiveness caused me about 3 weeks of unnecessary pain and would have been an extra month waiting for the Cortisone shot.

  • It can be tough to find a chiropractor that has the perfect blend of holistic and scientific healing. The regular wellness (longer) check-ups that provide hard numbers to compare energy levels and/or pain levels are a great benchmark to evaluate your progress and current state. The hours at the office are also fantastic. I can still make it to the office and get adjusted an hour after I get off work and have a long commute, and on an occasion Dr. Todd has done an adjustment in the wee hours of the morning before I drove to work during dire emergencies. Responding to patient surveys, the office is also organized for a private yet quick rotation of patients coming in and out. To say the least, Dr. Todd really bends over backward for his patients so they don't have to (ho ho ho). I have picked up a ton of health advice through my experiences and care with Dr. Todd. This is a great office if you're thinking of going!

  • I've always been able to get appointments when I need them, even on very short notice. The front desk staff are pleasant and efficient. The nurses are good, and the doctors that I've seen have also been quite good.

  • These folks are terrific and the product is great. However, the cost is exorbitant and I just don't think I can afford them again given my current financial situation.
    One thing they did that was absolutely great is that when I tried on the glasses I'd ordered they looked horrible on me. In all the 40+ years of wearing glasses I've never had that experience. They let me order new frames and therefore new glasses and *did not charge me*. This was unbelievable.

  • Not a big fan. If you're looking for a relaxing, spa-type massage, this is not a place to go. It sounded like the owner/massage therapist is more interested in working on sports injuries etc. The massage room is not very nice, more like a storage area.

  • We use Dr. Beck as our primary care physician. She is also the PCP of many of our friends and coworkers because she's the first one we recommend when someone is looking for a new doctor. I was sad to leave my former doctor's office in Boston but needed someone closer to where we currently live and work.
    Dr. Beck has been great. She is friendly, knowledgeable, caring, communicates well, keeps you informed without using scare tactics, and she respects and helps to inform your decisions. If you have a concern, however trivial, she takes it seriously and doesn't act dismissive. At the same time, she tells you if it's nothing to worry about.
    She's easily accessible because of her affiliation with Emerson so you can email her through their secure portal. This works well for following up after an appointment or requesting a refill of routine meds.
    All of the medical staff I've encountered at her office have been great as well. I'm notoriously difficult to draw blood from and when one was unsure that she would be successful on the first try, rather than trying anyway (which others at hospitals/labs/offices have done), she found someone who was especially talented at drawing blood. She got everything they needed on the first try and it's the first time I didn't bruise after. She also gave me tips on how to make it easier for them to draw blood next time (drink a TON of water right before the appointment).
    My only minor complaint is that some of the women that work at the front desk can be rude. I'll suffer through their rudeness while making appointments because the care I receive is worth it.

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dr. Bob did a through assessment and looked over the results of my x-rays and MRI and came up with a plan. Did an adjustment the first day and I immediately started feeling better. Have been seeing him twice a week for the past three weeks and there has been a dramatic improvement in my ability to walk and do things. I still have moments when I over do it and my back starts to ache but as per Dr. Bob, I apply ice and I start to feel better. Dr. Bob is through and lets you know that he is there if you need an appointment between appointments. His wife Lori serves as receptionist and office manager and is always friendly and pleasant. What a fool I was to be in severe pain to the point where one day I couldn't walk trying to rely on conventional medicine; suffering for weeks to be seen by a specialist when all I had to do was call a chiropractor and get immediate relief without injections or medicine.
    I highly recommend Sudbury Family Chiropractic and the whole idea of using a chiropractor for back pain rather than conventional medicine.
    A++++ to Dr. Bob

  • We've been going to them for about a year. They do a good job of communicating with the pharmacy that's attached to them, the doctors explain things well, and they have reasonably good availability. There is a bit of a wait on appointment days, however.

  • Not bad - of course I needed an appointment that day, so didn't have much choice as to stylist. This was on a Sunday (which is why I went there). Found it quite expensive. Once again, didn't see any stylists with short hair and that worries me - means that they don't like short hair, don't do many short cuts themselves . So many stylists are stuck in the 90's and give what I call "old lady" cuts - no style, too short layers on top, silly looking points are side. This was just an OK experience - would love a stylist to suggest things, not wait for me to spoon feed them.

  • As a first time eyeglass wearer, Alex made what was an intimidatiing task to me selecting the right eyeglasses very easy. He spent the time with me to explain things which made me comfortable to choose the right frames. He even let me take two sample frames home so I could get a second opinion from my wife on which looked better on me!
