AMcCabe's Garage DoorDuane came out and was painstaking in taking measurements. He gave me a quote on the spot. He also informed me that the company that supplied the wooden garage doors to McCabe's was slow. To my surprise the door arrived much sooner than expected. Duane had expedited its early arrival! When he installed the door, he was meticulous in his work. He went above and beyond by addressing a problem with our other garage door. Before he left, he made sure both doors were in good working order, removed the broken door and hardware, and cleaned his work area thoroughly. AMarcellos Design & BuildersI highly recommend Marcellos Builders and Design without reservation. My garage had to be demolished and rebuilt on the same footprint. Marcello’s work was perfect from start to finish. Marcello was meticulous in making sure all the measurements were correct. He oversaw the building of the new foundation consistent with the current building codes for the City of Newton. His carpenters who did the framing are the very best out there...doing such excellent work without taking any breaks, and their pride in their finished work, my new garage, was wonderful to behold. The siding and the painting were also great..careful, meticulous, two coats of paint, all looking just great!! I should also add that Marcellos has a great sense of design. He was helpful in picking out the right size windows. I look forward to having Marcellos Design and Builders do more renovations to this wonderful 1890 Victorian home. He is delightful to work with and follows through on all aspects of the project at hand. I am so glad to have found such a great contractor! Since our 120 year old garage had an unusual sized opening, we needed a specially sized door made so, it was important to work with someone who knew what they were doing (not all of the estimators we had out did) They also have a good warranty. ASept 14/20 a plain white van pulled my driveway.I asked him if he was from Lowell Garage Door.He replied he was contracted out.That he was a subcontractor SCAM!!! I was skeptical but let him proceed.He was never contracted by Lowell Garage Door they do not do that.Tuesday a white van pulled in my driveway with very large lettering Lowell Garage Door.After explaining what happened we we were all angry.I was charged triple the cost and everything was was not fixed as the man did not know how to.Stephen the owner of LGD knew exactly the problem and fixed it in 10 minutes. Embarrassed I didn't asked for ID.Thank you Stephen from Lowell Garage Door.Lets work to end these SCAM artist. Gail

AI never write reviews but I felt this company deserves one. We hired them after a few estimates came in and while they were not the cheapest (or most expensive), they were the BEST. They gave us multiple references and houses to look at that they had done. We were deciding between 2 colors and it helped to have a list of places to drive by to make our decision. We had the house done during the summer and were a bit worried with COVID, but they never needed to come in the house. The workers were the hardest working employees we have ever seen - LONG hours, few breaks and they were always happy to answer questions and were very polite! They were amazing - honestly! Lastly, but most important - my husband tops the list as the "most picky person EVER". He had a hard time finding any little thing wrong. Their workmanship was top notch. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship was A++. We really knew nothing about this company so we were worried going into the job. We went off of reviews and the fact they have been in business a long time and it was the best decision. We absolutely love the house and all the work they did. We had a LOT of questions prior to starting the job and Brian answered everything promptly and with great detail. Very Very helpful. Kudos to their whole team!

AIt went great! Appreciated that Joe had his crew come out very quickly as work needed doing asap. Work was done in about 1/2 day which was quite impressive considering they had to install about 200 ft of shoe molding to cover up space between baseboard and floor where floor had sagged a bit. And they put insulation behind the new molding to cut down on drafts! Much appreciated.
