Door Installation reviews in Lynnfield

I highly recommend this company. My cement issue was due to the prior install using cinder blocks on top of cement and skimcoating cement over them; the cement base failed with the skim coat cracking and water was getting in. Craig identified that you really need to bring the poured cement to the top and not use cinder blocks. They also hand mix the cement right at site, so no issues with heavy equipment tearing up your yard. As this company measures the bulkhead size needed when they come, they're all custom built, so you need to provide deposit for half the cost upfront; they came back in 3 weeks to install. Based on reviews and my interaction with Craig, I had no reservation about giving a deposit. They did a bang-up job and i fully expect this to be the last bulkhead this house needs for many decades.

Mike and Rick removed a built-in air conditioner and installed a new interior and exterior wall, and repainted the wall.  Repaired ice dam damage around bedroom window and kitchen ceiling and repainted, removed a built-in balance beam from backyard, installed a new front storm door and wood trim, installed new kitchen window hardware (arm openers and crank handles) openers, and installed a new kitchen faucet.
These guys do excellent work, arrived each day at 8 AM sharp, worked very efficiently, the price matched the estimate, and even thought we didn't ask they provided us with the receipts for the material purchased from Home Depot.
My wife and I are thrilled we found someone we can trust with our home repairs.

Our garage doors and motors were in need of replacement for some time. We contacted and got quotes from three local companies (Overhead Doors of Danvers, Karmin Door, and Saugus Overhead Door).

The bid from Overhead Door from Danvers was $3,300 so we immediately ruled them out. The bids from Karmin and Saugus Overhead Door were within $50 of each other, and we decided to go with Saugus Overhead Door.

The installer was very good in terms of arriving and completing on time, and cleaning up. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the look of the new doors and the quiet openers.

We had been struggling with water in the basement since we bought the house 1 1/2 years ago.  We had replaced the cellar stairs (leading from the backyard down into the basement), and that helped to some extent, but we were still getting some water.  The Rescon technician visited our house and suggested that we first address immediate problems before more complicated solutions (such as a sump pump).    First, they installed an insulated door with weatherstripping.  We were so pleased.  Not only did it keep the place drier and warmer, but it also looks lovely!   Next, they replaced four basement windows.  Again, they look great, the basement is warmer, and we have had no water problems, even now as the snow melts during spring rains.
I'd add that the work was great, and the price was very reasonable.   We hope to work with them again to refinish the basement.

Jane and Brandon along with all of their teams of plumbers, electricians, plasterers and painters were top notch. They helped with design ideas and made suggestions that shows their professionalism and expertise. We are thrilled with our new home and are enjoying the beautiful fireplace on this cold fall night.

It was a great experience.  First, it was as scheduled and on budget.  Second, he is attentive to customers -- Mo called a few days before the scheduled day and told us how to get ready (we had to clear a passage for the equipment by clearing off our patio, etc.)  They arrived on time and in four hours, they were done.  They even raked the remaining dirt in the back yard.  We are SO grateful to them!

They responded the very same day I called for a outdoor repair; it was cold as temperatures was in the 20-30's.
The person who performed the work seemed very knowledgable, and professional.  He explained in great detail the problem, why it occurred, and the proper solution to resolve the issue.  The cost included the labor time to travel and get repair materials, and to return for install.  Very professional work performed, and he cleaned up once the job was completed.  I have used them before, and will use them in the future if needed.

Window Depot was recommended to me by a friend who is in the construction/remodeling business.  Fred Goldberg was pleasant, professional, and courteous.  I did, however, only deal with him over the phone, and I found it slightly odd that while the 4 other window companies (from whom I obtained bids) all sent out a salesman promptly to our house, Window Depot did not.  I had to push for that to happen.  After all, I wanted to see and touch the merchandise -- which in the end impressed me as a quality product.
One part of the deal was to replace a 9 ft. triple slider aluminum door with doors in vinyl or metal, with sidelights, or similar.  We discussed a number of options, and I proposed 4 alternative designs.  Fred was very responsive in returning bids for each.  When down to best-n-final bidding, I wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page about where the active door was, and the direction in which it opened.  The rep who came to the house assured me that my proposal was do-able.  I was about to sign a contract, when Fred called to say the factory said my proposal was not, after all, do-able.  My wife and I decided to postpone the door work, and just stick with replacement window work.
I appreciate Fred's honesty in saying my door proposal wouldn't fly.  But since we'd been going around on this for a couple of weeks, it bothered me that the factory had not been consulted earlier so that our discussions could center on what was truly do-able.  That put me off just enough that I awarded the window work to another company.  If my experience with the provider we eventually went with turns out to be so-so or worse, I would have no qualms about getting a bid from Fred and Window Depot for the windows we intend to replace next summer.  On balance, they have a quality product and seem to be good folks.  I would just have someone come out to the house from the get-go.

Bill came our and gave us a quote for the work we wanted done.   Which started with just installing the exterior door and replacing the rotten wodden siding near it.    Once we agreed on having him do the work he told me he would be out in a week to do the work.   He sent me a message  two days before letting me know the day and time of his arrival.   He installed the door anr replaced the siding easily and  once compelted you could not even tell he had done anything.  The trim around the door and all of the boards matched the rest of the house.   He installed the appropriate drip edge over the door to ensure that we would not have the same problem again.    While he was out he gave me a quote on fixing the gutters and he came back and replaced them as discussed.    When he was done, the new gutters looked better than the original.   After installation he stopped over on the first day it rained to check on the gutters to see if there were any issues and how they handled the water.    He felt that he needed to add an additional piece of flashing on the roof to and came out and installed that as well.    Bill does quality work and you can see he takes pride in what he does.    He keeps the work site neat and clean and when he left there was no sign that he had even been there other than the neat work he left behind.   His prices are fair and the quality of the work is top notch.

Jeff was terrific.  I had never undergone any rennovation much less of this magitude.  He was a true perfessional thur every step of the way.  He provide referrals to subcontractors if it made sense.  He provided the experts when needed.  He also provide great insight and advice when I was overwhelmed with the amount of work and choices required.
Jeff's team was on time every morning.  They were wonderful, clean, and professional.  I was comfortable leaving them at my house while I worked and my cat thought he became part of the work crew!
Every evening I came home to a clean work space.
Jeff kept me informed on each step of the project and met every timeline (even though I didn't in some cases!).
Overall, the project was done ontime, within the proposed price, with an ease i didn't think possible.
I would highly recommend Jeff!  Great work.  Great team.  Great guy!
