AJP O'Brien Electric LLPMy first experience with JP O'Brien Electric was for a generator install that they did for me in 2018. Joe and Dave were very prompt and professional and they explained everything that needed to be done to prepare. They took care of all of the permitting and walked me through the process every step of the way. I appreciated the fact that they shared their knowledge with me and their willingness to bear with a relatively new homeowner with many questions about having this big piece of equipment installed. Joe and his team also introduced me to a company that would maintain my generator to keep it in good running condition year over year. The install was very neat and tidy. I am very pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone seeking a quality electrician. His prices were reasonable as well. I have since called them for advice on other matters that I found in my house, and recently had them out to certify that my recessed lights were insulation contact rated. AVMA Electric IncTwo electricians arrived 10 minutes early and ready to work. One did the two on of the garage door and one did the three smaller ones on the side and back of the house. He took our basement from foundation only to a great living/playing area with a wet bar and 1/2 bath. APerry Brothers ConstructionOur existing bathroom was a half bathroom with sink vanity, toilet, washer and dryer. We needed to eliminate laundry equipment and add shower and closet in the space that was designated for a washer and dryer, and add outside venting. We also wanted to tile the whole bathroom up to the ceiling. The job was performed excellent and we are very happy with the choices we made. Bill Perry and his crew were working in our house before renovating basement and building rooms there, so we knew that they were the best company for us. AVMA Electric IncThings went fine; VMA provided an estimate and we concurred on a scope of work. VMA electricians were courteous and easy to work with. The office manager (Nancy) is very responsive to queries and very communicative on when crew is expected on site, etc. VMA does seem to be pretty busy, so if you have non-emergency work to be done (as was this work) you may need to wait a few weeks for your turn on the schedule. However, VMA stuck with the scheduled work date and it was done as scheduled.- THERESA B.

FAvoid like the plague. Worse than car salesmen. Avoid this company like the plague. They charge you just to come out to your house -- which would be okay if they didn't over-charge you and then offer a very "scammy" pricing system. What we needed done was probably the most simple and inexpensive of fixes we could have asked for. Instead of coming to do the work two guys came and quickly glanced at the things I wanted them to look at and then they proceeded to do some sort of "diagnostic check" for some bizarre reason. It took them like 15 mins to do this check, where they checked electrical meter, electrical box, etc... All the while I'm frustratingly wondering why they aren't just fixing the two simple things I had them come out to fix. Then, much to my surprise, the pitch. After wasting time and doing absolutely nothing they came back to then present me with 3 differently priced pay tier options. The options started at something close to $450 and the middle and higher options were closer to$ 1,000. Bear in mind all I wanted them to do was fix a light switch that randomly stopped working and change another switch to a dimmer-- AND I already had to pay the $70 for them to come out to begin with. I refused their services and demanded they refund me the $70. Initially they refused to refund me the $70 in person and I called and demanded a refund. They agreed to it but I didn't trust that they were actually going to honor what they said based on my experience with them in person and the reviews I read on line after the fact. I ended up putting a claim in with my bank to be on the safe side.
