    Arthur returned my telephone call timely. Communicated terrifically well via telephone as well as ellectronically. We agreed to an estimated cost for services. He was prompt. Arrived when he said he would. He maintained a clean work environment and was quite proficient with his work. Arthur posses a unique skill and I was grateful he shared his talent with me. I hope I do not have a reason to make use of his services again but in the real world, unfortunately, there are people who are inconsiderate of others and they will continue to open their car doors in to other vehicles, causing the likelihood of my not hesitating to call on Arthur again. I also encourage others to celebrate his talent when the need arises with their automobile.

    Our fairly new Nissan was rear-ended in the summer. We took it to K & C's after checking reviews on Angie's list.
    The owner, Paulo, contacted the insurance company to authorize and document what needed to be fixed. The work was done beautifully and quickly. We were so pleased to find someone who takes great pride and provides exceptional service that we brought our other car (an older Subaru) in for repair, painting, etc. Carlos fixed the issues and the paint matches perfectly.
    These gentlemen could be a business model for others - fair pricing, incredible work ethics, concern for the customer. I will recommend them to anyone I know who needs auto body work.

    On 9/24/12 I took my car into the shop.  As I outlined above the repair was simple.  So image my surprise when I got my vehicle back looking no better than it did when I took it in, but to add insult to injury they returned my car to me with white chemical all around the steering wheel and on the carpet, complimenting the grease spots on the front driver and passenger seats. The scratches were still prominent in the lens and all the technician could say to me was "oh well, if it rains and moisture gets inside then bring it back and we'll fix it".  He returned my vehicle to me in poor condition and wanted me to be inconvenienced and bring it back when ther was going to be a problem?  When I got home shortly thereafter and noticed the white chemical and other stains I called the shop to complain and was told they don't work with such chemicals and it couldn't have been from them.  So I called my appraiser and told him to look at the work.  He called the shop back and had them replace the lens something the idiots should have done when they realized that the scratches were to deep to be buffed out.  It took a week to hear back from Saugus Auto Craft and that is only because I had to initiate the call to see if the part was in and it had been for some time.  When I returned the car for the replacement and to clean the inside I took a friend with me.  Lenny was there to  meet me and said nothing about the mess made on the inside of my car.  I'm sure that's because I had a witness there because when he called me to notify me that my car was ready he took that moment to state that the mess inside my car was made by me. It was allegedly gum on the carpet. Yeah gum that I had scientifically impossibliy rubbed from side to side across my car and had defied the laws of gravity by evaporating and then travelling upwards to spread its white vapors all around my steering wheel!  Right! Also the grease stains were coffee stains but they did me a favor and cleaned up my mess!  That is why I will not be doing any business in Lynn or the North Shore. I'd rather give my money to people who aren't going to damage my property and send me on my merry way.I went to them beccause my insurance company had a contract with them for some kind of lifetime warranty in case there is a problem with the work they will repair it for free. This is unfortunate because they have worked on my vehicle 2 times before and did excellent work. This time their work was crappy and instead of owning it, they made excuses.

    I backed into a truck. Not knowing how much the damaage I had caused to my car would cost, I brought it to Mahoney's where the proprietor advised me to call my insurance company. I did and when I got my insurance check a month later, I called Mahoney's and they asked me to bring my car in so they could take a look and schedule a date for me to bring it in for repair. When I arrived I met Jim. He was clean, courteous and very helpful. It was Friday and he gave me a choice of bringing it in on Monday, with the caution that it might take a few more days as they were very busy the next week, or the following Monday when they could get it done more quickly (reducing my rental costs). I chose the former. Jim helped me find the closest rental agency and made a copy of my insurance paperwork. When I arrived to drop off the car, Jim took care of the paperwork quickly and called the rental car company for me. The day before the car was ready to pick up, Jim called me and gave me my choice of times to pick it up and let me know that I could leave my rental car there and the company would pick it up. When I arrived to pick up my car, I drove right by my own car and didn't even realize it was my car, it was so new looking! I signed my insurance check over to them, wrote a personal check for the deductible, did as they suggested and left my rental car there, and I was on my way in minutes!

    They are excellent and can literally handle any automotive problem you may have. When I went in there for the rear end replacement they told me exactly what had to be done and that they would be able to get it corrected. I was impressed that the cost was so minimal, I expected it to be more.

    The repair work took much, much longer than expected, but I don't think it was entirely the fault of Col-Craft. They kept finding more damage as the work went on. In retrospect, it should have been declared totaled by the insurance company. Now that the work is complete, I can't tell that any damage had ever happened. It looks exactly the same as it did originally and drives perfectly well. I was worried that after such extensive damage to the front end that it would never drive straight again. I was happily surprised. They did good work. Because it took so much longer than they originally said (over 80 days!) they even provided me with a rental car after the insurance coverage ran out at no cost to me. The repair work was covered by insurance.

    WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR IN, IT WAS 11 DAYS BEFORE INSPECTION STICKER WAS DUE. THEREFORE, I REQUESTED INS STCKR (FULL SERVICE STATION) FOR NEW MONTH IN CASE THE REPAIR TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED. SURE ENOUGH, THE CAR WAS NOT READY UNTIL 2 DAYS INTO THE NEW MO AND WHEN I PICKED THE CAR UP, THE INS NOT BEEN DONE DESPITE THE NOTES ON THE SERVICE ORDER. ALTHOUGH IT WAS 1615L, I WAS ADV THE INSPECTION COULD NOT BE DONE, EVEN THOUGH THE WORK ORDER HAD BEEN OVER-LOOKED. IN ADDITION, I HAD REQUESTED A SEPARATE ''NON-INSURANCE'' QUOTE FOR OTHER SCRATCHES ON THE CAR'S EXTERIOR, YET I RCVD NO CALLS REF MY RQST DURING THE WEEK IT WAS IN THE SHOP,AND THE OTHER SCRAPES ON CAR EXTERIOR WERE NOT FIXED. I WAS ALSO SURPRISED THAT NO ONE BROUGHT ME TO MY CAR TO CHECK THE WORK THAT HAD BEEN DONE. IN SUMMARY, I WOULD NOT BRING ANOTHER CAR TO THIS SHOP, ALTHOUGH I DID LATER RECEIVE A MESSAGE THAT I COULD BRING MY CAR IN FOR AN INSPECTION STCKR FOC THE FOLLOWING DAY, WHICH WAS NOT CONVENIENT TO MY SCHEDULe.
