APatrick Miller Construction IncAndy was very responsive from day 1. I needed to enclose a room by adding a wall and bathroom plus paint. Andy and his team were professional, efficient, and easy to work with. They communicated clearly and kept me informed throughout the entire project. And most importantly, the job came out beautiful. I plan to hire them for all future projects for my townhouse!- Sal A.

AMA Design & Construction CoMA Design & Construction Co has been extremely helpful in my home renovation and insurance-related damage in my condo. Marc and Raquel have both been particularly helpful. Marc came out right away to look at a large job on my downtown condo. He was extremely friendly, professional, and efficient. Together with Raquel they put together very detailed estimates for me very quickly. They are the most professional team I have dealt with for home repairs and would always be happy to recommend them to friends and family.- Behnam J.

AAR Home Renovations CorpAndre and his team (Dimas and Junior) did a great job. All requested work was done and passed inspection. The work included the following: opening up a load bearing wall, changing all doors, refinishing the floors, creating a new bathroom from scratch, updating the kitchen, insulating 2 rooms, updating the electrical. Andre is very clear on what he can and cannot do and was accommodating when we had unusual requests. Because of Covid the progress was slower than expected. We would definitely hire Andre and his team again.- Marine A.

AAR Home Renovations CorpAndre and his team were phenomenal. Orginally, we thought we only needed a porch column replaced; however, we found quite a bit of rot in the porch ceiling and deck--not great news for a homeowner. Andre and the team went right to work, drafting options, coordinating sub-contractors, and keeping us in the loop. The team was respectful of our house and cleaned up after each day, to the point where it looked as if work hadn't started. It's not often one bonds with contractors, but we actually enjoyed chatting with them throughout the day. They even fixed items that needed repair inside the house that weren't a part of the contract (at no charge!) Without any reservation, I would recommend these guys for complex rehab jobs.- Greg C.

AAR Home Renovations CorpAndre is a complete professional. I couldn't be happier with working with anyone else. He has extensive experience and knowledge of the intricacies of building brand new homes and taking old 100+ year homes and remodeling them to be almost indistinguishable from new construction while still maintaining the character to give it a unique charm. He helped with digging a 5 feet foundation from a 220 year old home and understood what needed to be done in order to ensure a safe work environment and to maintain the structural integrity while making it as expansive as possible. More than his extensive skills and experience Andre is just a standup and honest person. He truly cares about the clients he works with and gives great ideas for what would will look nice and takes them through the process from the very beginning pre construction phases to end with excellent customer service. It is rare you come across a builder like Andre!- Hans N.

AD & R ConstructionEric's team rebuilt our entire three season room, which was not functional. It is now, thanks to Mike and Brian. It also looks very good! Mike works hard at getting things done, and teaches the younger crew very well. He is structured and trustworthy. He also was patient answering my questions (I always have too many..!). Brian pays great attention to detail! I was impressed by how good the tile work looks, and also how good the finishing of the decking to the landing looks like, which he did. They also had to partly redo the patio, and it looks better than before.- Natacha N.

ABeantown Home Improvements, Inc.Had two exterior doors installed by Beantown Home Improvements. They showed up on the day promised but it was too cold to install the doors so they double checked measurements, stored the new doors under my deck and wrapped them in plastic. Returned a few days later and were able to install the new doors. Installation went flawlessly and they did a good job cleaning up. Jarred suggested using pvc trim, glad he recommended it. Doors look great and seal quite well just in time for winter. I will certainly use them again on my next home improvement project and would without hesitation recommend their services.- David J.

AAW Puma Construction & Remodeling LLCNeeded our basement built out. It was an old sem finished basement that needed a lot of TLC. They took it to the studs and started from scratch. Added a full bath and the rest became living space. Albert and company did a great job. Would recommend them to anybody looking for a reliable contractor.- Kayla M.

ACore Remodeling Services IncIt was a long process in part because we could not go anywhere due to Covid and we have four cats. That being as it was, the process was very well laid out, any questions, and/or issues were all addressed in a timely manner. The various contractors - electrical, plumbing, construction, painters, etc., were all very good. They did their jobs well! They offered advice and suggestions when asked. And all were always polite and easy to get along with.- Debra A F.

ABertola Custom Homes & RemodelingJoe Bertola is a genius. The quality of work and speed of execution is top notch. It is **** near impossible to find a customer home builder that delivers such a high caliber of professionalism and perfection, with the attention and diligence that Joe does. He does absolutely beautiful work. I have no doubt that the resale value on my home will be significantly higher than the same properties in this category, based on the workmanship alone. We could not be more satisfied!- Ali C.

AI called Robert at 7:00AM after noticing a water stain on my ceiling. He was here by 3:00PM the same day to evaluate. He returned the next day and resolved the issue. He documented the issue with a photo and clearly explained what he did to fix the problem. I plan on using him again for other projects. Very happy with the service and the price.

AWill was great. He responded promptly and did his best to find a window for me as quickly as possible. (It is very difficult to get one window replaced jin any reasonable amount of time.) The installation went well and everything was cleaned up and functions well.

AWe hired R&R Contracting (Dan Nephew , owner - [*** Link removed ***] to do a major addition to our home. We could not be happier with the result or the process. Dan and his brother John are conscientious, hard-working, kind, patient, calm, levelheaded, capable and smart. They worked through difficulties one might anticipate encountering when expanding a house that is almost 150 years old. The project ended up being much larger than anyone anticipated, and the end result was amazing. Basically half of our house was redone. We are very grateful for their professionalism and heartily recommend R&R Contracting. What follows is a lot of detail illustrating how complex a project it was that R&R completed so well. We live in a house built in 1870 that had been expanded over the years, but it did not have a bedroom on the first floor, had too many flat roofs and had 1.5 small bathrooms, with only the half bathroom on the first floor. We wanted to expand the house to permit us to live longer in our home as we age. Specifically, the original scope of our project was to change our ½ bathroom to a full bathroom, to change the flat roof over our living room to be pitched and to add a bedroom to the back of the house. We also wanted the alterations to facilitate the installation of solar panels later and to ensure that the new addition was done in ways that would permit us ideally to stay in the house even if we were to become disabled. In addition to R &R, we hired an architect to help us because zoning limits what can be done in small lots like ours and because we wanted to retain the basic shape of the house as faced from the front. Our project turned out to be complicated. Integrating the existing stone foundation to the new addition was challenging because of the risk of collapse of the original foundation. Maximizing the size of the bedroom to accommodate the smaller footprint required by zoning meant using different size lumber and spray foam insulation. This in turn made it impossible to have a window in the attic above the new addition. It was impossible/impractical to integrate the original HVAC system into the new addition because of the stone foundation. That meant installing a separate, second heating and cooling system. Installing the new bedroom revealed that our back mudroom was inadequately supported. It needed to be torn down and rebuilt. Because the new addition had an attic, our upstairs bathroom lost its one window. That led us to redo much of the upstairs bathroom When starting to install the peaked roof above the new living room, replacing the flat roof, we learned that the living room was not properly supported below nor did the roof above it adequately support our second floor. We needed to reinforce and then repaint the living room and redo its flooring. We needed to upgrade our electrical service to 200 amps to accommodate the new (second) HVAC system and to position our house for solar panels Dan and his team worked through all of these complications and because of them the end result for us was A full bathroom with a linear drain glass-enclosed shower with the smallest of lips permitting us to walk in easily A new bedroom with a walk-in closet and a barnyard door connecting to the bathroom, able to accommodate a wheel chair down the road. The walk-in closet door is actually a Murphy bookcase, an bookcase that can be opened. A newly painted and newly wood floored and adequately supported living room A new mudroom, replacing the old one A new deck, replacing the old one Refinished wooden stairs leading to the second floor A new wooden floor in much of the upstairs hallway 200 amp service An upstairs bathroom with a new sink, toilet, vanity, fixtures and built –in cabinet where the windows was, also newly tiled and painted and with the bathtub refinished An attic above the new bedroom, with a pull-down ladder A peaked roof above the living room and the attic and the mudroom, meaning I have much less to shovel in a bad winter New wired smoke detectors A newly surfaced drive-way Because of our change-orders and the unexpected complications, the project was considerably over budget; but that has nothing to do with R&R. This kind of thing is common in projects like ours. We expected it; and when we started to approach our upper limit, we worked with Dan to limit expenses Dan did an amazing job hiring and handling subcontractors. This includes the electrical company he hired, the same one we had hired independently many years before to remove knob and tube wiring. When this one and the same company said during our project with R&R that there was knob and tube wiring to be removed, I showed Dan the company’s original certification that the knob and tube wiring had been removed; and Dan worked with the company to remove the remaining knob and tube wiring for free Thank you to Dan, his brother John and R&R for an outstanding job!

AExcellent! Liam is a quality craftsman. If you want someone who is professional, polite, and has an eye for detail then hire him. Liam not only picked out a quality door, but hung it to perfection. From the start, he was in touch with me via text. He sent me a photo of the door before ordering. He said it would take about 10 days to come in. He contacted me when the door was in and set up a date for install. He arrived 15 minutes early! , but didn’t ring my doorbell till 7am. He built a new door casing and installed a beautiful oak sill. He installed the door and provided plastic on the outside to protect it from the coming rain. ( not all contractors would do that) He cleaned up after the job and sent me a text to let me know the job was done. ( I was working in my office in the house). Liam is an A+ contractor. He does everything right from start to finish. He is exceptional and has a fair price. I will definitely hire him again for any future house projects, and you should too!
