    Oscar's Moving Co
Very well. Moving is tough but I am so glad that we hired this team. We had a four bedroom colonial with 13 years worth of all kinds of stuff including a packed basement and garage. Team was very professional and courteous. Did a great job loading up our house in Framingham and unloading everything in East Longmeadow. We had gotten 3 estimates for our move and Ocsar's price was in the middle, I found them to be the most responsive and they were willing to bill my husbands new employer directly. No way that we could have done this move ourselves. Would hire again and can absolutely recommend to others.

    JIMMY BURGOFF MOVING
1.) gave the owner a professionally prepared inventory list of exactly what we had to move. It was the exact same list a professional moving service gave us when we moved from Southern Connecticut to Longmeadow (80 miles) only 1 year earlier. 2.) Burgoff quoted $1600 which wasn't that much less than the 80 miles we had moved the year before. 3.) I accepted. 4.) Long story short: his small trucks seemed they were from 1957...he told me he had the large trailer trucks like the national chains... 5.) Which means they had to make about 40 trips over a 2-3 day period instead of 1. 6.) After day 1 and a 13 hour day his poor guys (who were AWESOME but badly understaffed...and worked like dogs...) said Mr Burgoff said the price is now $3500!!!!! From $1600... 7.) I said I am willing to pay $3000 no more: WHICH WAS MORE THAN COMING 80 MILES NORTH FROM NEW HAVEN, CT AREA! Imagine paying $1400 MORE than quoted: FOR ANYTHING! 8.) Then we later found out they forgot to empty the entire kitchen cabinets and garage from the former house across town...which means WE had to make several more trips in our own cars... 9.) Due to my career, we have moved about every 7 years since 1996. This was...by far...the worst move. Ever. AND I paid almost DOUBLE than quoted. I would have given an "F" but his poor guys were awesome and grossly overworked ... 10. )Then when he came for his payment...he had the audacity to say he regretted the newer price and moaning about the $3000!! THEN he says I should pay an ADDITIONAL $100 cash so I could tip the guys... Why did I wait so long to write this? Because I am still angry about the additional $1400....and Angies List resurrected this mover 's review that I did not finish the first time....

    Men On The Move
Truly excellent moving experience. From start to finish everything was done in a deliberate, professional manor. I was very impressed with the service with my move from New York to Massachusetts. The day they picked up my furniture to be packed going they did an excellent job.  They took the time to wrap the furniture carefully.  And when the furniture arrived everything was in excellent condition.  No damage to anything. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend them.

    Warrior Spirit Movers
Hired this company based on great reviews from Yelp and Angie's list. My experience was completely opposite. Crews were very cavalier when handling our furnitures and boxes. Virtually throwing our boxes around even when labeled fragile and verbally being told not to. Seems to cut corners when wrapping furnitures. They just randomly pack our stuff into the truck not according to weight distribution guidelines. As a result, there were significant damages to our belonging from heavy objects compressing on lighter objects, significant scratches to furnitures. The whole experience was a nightmare with financial loss from damages to belonging. Sincerely advice to avoid this company.

    FIVE COLLEGE MOVERS LLC
It went okay, not great, but okay.  The movers arrived on time, they were professional, and they handled our belongings reasonably well.  They were, however, quite slow.   They took much longer than other movers have taken to move the same stuff.  In the end, they took more than TWICE as long as they had estimated it would take.  I have never had an estimate be that far off.  To their credit, the office did make an adjustment and meet us in the middle between the estimate and the amt if they billed for the whole long day.

    CABRINI MOVING SERVICES INC
They showed up on time, were in and out in record time, did a wonderful job.  Moved all the furniture into the truck without any fuss or bother.  Were cheerful, polite, and respectful of my furniture.  Took great care to see that nothing was scratched or marred.  They are wonderful.

    SML - Simple Moving Labor
Horrible experience!!  I was offered the choice of two non-professional movers for $50 an hour or two professional movers for $100 per hour.  I paid $100 per hour for two professional movers who were to bring all equipment necessary to make the move.  What I got were two men, one of which was on his day off from his regular job.  The only equipment they brought was a small square dolly.  They did not bring an appliance dolly (I told them I had appliances to move).  They did not bring any moving blankets or any other moving equipment at all!  In the initial interview with the company I informed them that the storage unit was on the 2nd floor but an elevator would be at our disposal.  As in a previous move, I expected them to bring a pallet sized moving dolly to load and transport boxes.  When I saw the equipment they brought, I burst into tears.  I have move several times with my job and I knew that this was not going to be an efficient move and the cost would be much, much more than I expected.
The reason I hired moves was so I would not have to move the items myself.  My two sisters and I moved EVERYTHING except the big furniture and appliances.  Luckily, I had two small carts on which we stacked boxes.  We literally ran with each load to ensure we got everything on the truck in time.  We provided the truck and had to have it back at the end of the day.
I showed the movers two pieces of furniture that I wanted them to take special care with.  I told them that of all the items I needed moved, these two things were the most precious to me.  Because I was moving boxes back and forth, I was unable to watch how things were being moved and loaded.  Both of these pieces of furniture were damaged.  I provided sheets and blankets for the moves to use, but they loaded everything without use of any protective blankets.
Because the did not bring an appliance dolly, they use the small cart they brought to move appliances, some of which fell off the cart while being moved.
The time for which I had hired them was up by the time the truck was loaded.  I had to hire someone else to unload the truck.
When I contacted the company, they were extremely non-responsive and continually made excuses.  I then contacted the Penske company, on whose website I found these movers, to ask for assistance in getting some of my money back.   Eventually I got back$160 but no amount of money can compensate for the stress, both physical and emotional, that I went through that day.

    Roger Sitterly & Son Inc
movers were on time for the 2 moves and they were courteous. took a little longer then the estimate but we had more boxes then was estimated. cost was slightly higher then estimated. only damage was to a wok. because they were able to leave the furniture on the trailer for storage their price was lower then the other 2 estimates we got. moving is a pain but if I had to do it again I would use them.

    NES Movers
NES Movers is a very good moving company and did their job extremely well from beginning to end,
NES pricing was very reasonable for a local move. The time charged is the time of arrival at your home until moving was completed at the new home. Other movers included travel time to your home and/or returning to their company after the move.
They check the day before the move to make sure of any last minute changes, They  came on time and did not waste time loading or unloading the truck, The employees were  careful in moving the furniture and notifying you if they saw damaged furniture prior to moving it. They disassembled dining table  and  bedroom dresser to get them out the door then reassembled them at the new residence, A valuable, large antique hutch was bubbled wrap then blanketed and placed in the rear of the truck for the best protection. It survived without a scratch.
This company knows their business with excellent results.

    Bert Hill Mover Inc
This was the second time in two years that Bert Hill moved us. After our wonderful experience with Bert Hill Mover the first time, we called them again to move us to another home that we purchased. The entire experience from the initial visit to quote the job, until the last box was off the truck, was professional, efficient and could not have gone better. The moving crew from Bert Hill was fabulous! We highly recommend Bert Hill Mover.
