    Healthy Paws Pet Insurance
I have just been notified that my rate will increase by 36% compared to last year (113% increase since we started with Healthy Paws). This is an abusive rate hike as, due to pre-existing conditions, I am unlikely to find similar coverage from a different insurer. After my rate hike last year, Healthy Paws stated they would provide documentation showing an increase in more frequent and more expensive claims. I spent months following up on this promise to which Healthy Paws kept apologizing for the delay in providing documentation, but in the end, no documentation was ever provided. This year there is an even steeper rate increase. They are citing the same reasons as last year, but again not providing any documentation. My experience with filing claims with Healthy Paws has always been a positive one, but the transparency of these rate hikes is extremely disappointing, especially as others in my community aren’t seeing the same rate hikes with their insurance companies. If I’m able to find another insurance company that will cover pre-existing conditions, I will certainly be looking to switch.

    VPI Pet Insurance
I had to reinsure every year and I needed to know what my options were and what the deal was. Initially, when I first got my dog, I put him on the insurance. I insured him for $15,000. For any issues that he had like if he needed to be operated on. Then they came up with a new program this year. The new program, they will cover 90% of everything after a $250 deductible. I pay $72.00 a month. That covers him for any vet visit for anything including like medications. I have had ultrasounds done on my other pet and they are like $300-$400. They cover dental, cleanings and that whole thing. I just got him to get him on the upgraded plan. I have not used it but I still think $72 a month for 90% coverage with a $250 deductible. I think is pretty good. They are awesome. They are great. They have part of their program that you can call and either talk to a vet tech or a veterinarian. That is part of their plan. If you have an issue or something is going on. He was chasing ball in the backyard and dripped it real quick. I went over to find out why he dropped it. All of a sudden his mouth swelled up. I called and suspected he had a bee bite which he probably did. They gave me their opinion and the next day took him to the vet. They both said the same thing. They both came up with a bee bite. That is great. You know how many times things happen and you are like, I need to talk to a vet. I am not going to call the internet vets that charge you money. I think those are good benefits. I think it is a good price for what I am getting.

    Worcester Animal Rescue League
When I got the kitten, I got all the needs for the shots and expense paid, so that is what I paid for. It was a rescue kitten. They need to make sure that any animal is healthy, when it leaves from there. They even check up on the computer with the people who buy them. They email to check if I have any problem or questions. I can call them or drop in there anytime. The kennel was very clean. The people were very caring with the animals that they were working with. It was all pretty professional and friendly, which is most important. They were good working with animals, and making them feel comfortable. They know what they were doing. They make everything possible, so the animal can move into a new home. The kitten was even trained. It was trained to go in the box. It was my first experience with the kitten, and they were so helpful. I was so afraid to get a kitten because I never had a cat. I wanted to try it and that worked out quite well for me.

    Pet Plan
So far my dealing with them has been fine. I pay $34 a month for the service. That staff is good. They're reasonable. They pay a lot for pet injuries and pet diseases and stuff.

    Embrace Pet Insurance
Their staff are great to work with and they offer coverage that most other pet insurance companies don't offer such as inherited illness. Their deductible is per year and not per event which can make a big difference. They have a great website that provides information on their variety of programs such as wellness/dental and illness.

    Embrace Pet Insurance
Embrace is clearly a quality pet insurance option based upon my research and discussions with them. The only reason that I didn't move forward was that the cost for my older pets didn't seem to make more sense than basically self-insuring. If my pets were younger, I would have purchased their insurance.

Banfield Pet Hospital - North Attleboro
Banfield Pet Hospital offers a pet insurance plan which helps with discounts on checkups and medications. They are top of the line so they do offer things we need to turn down but it's good service. They lean toward the high end of taking care of your pet so they take good care of our dogs. They will take us in on the drop of a hat and we will always use them in the future. We've been with them for a number of years.

Trupanion was developed by veterinarians. You can take your dog anywhere and you have a deductible, so you pay based on what the deductible is and how old your pet was when you first signed up with them. Trupanion does not pay for regular office visits and check-ups, but if your pet has an operation or develops some health problems, they pay ninety percent of everything. They are very reliable.

Banfield Pet Hospital - Corporate Headquarters
My dog has been going to Banfield since I got him.  They have a wellness program which you pay monthly. All vaccinations, check ups and office visits are included and many other services as well. I am very happy with the care my dog receives and will continue with this plan.
