He has extensive experience and knowledge of the intricacies of building brand new homes and taking old 100+ year homes and remodeling them to be almost indistinguishable from new construction while still maintaining the character to give it a unique charm. He helped with digging a 5 feet foundation from a 220 year old home and understood what needed to be done in order to ensure a safe work environment and to maintain the structural integrity while making it as expansive as possible. More than his extensive skills and experience Andre is just a standup and honest person. He truly cares about the clients he works with and gives great ideas for what would will look nice and takes them through the process from the very beginning pre construction phases to end with excellent customer service. AE B Window And Siding CoWe just wrapped up a big project with EB Window & Siding - replaced all vinyl siding, shutters, gutters, and trim on our exterior, replaced a few windows, and removed an old balcony and door. Overall, the experience was really terrific. Colin came out a couple of different times to discuss options, timelines, etc. The majority of the work was completed by a crew of 3-4 each day, led by Oscar. It was immediately clear to us that the entire crew took great pride in their work. Oscar was thoughtful about some of the tricker parts of the house and how best to accent different areas with the materials we had selected. Everyone was incredibly courteous, clean, respectful of the property. They never wanted to bother us, but anytime we asked for updates, they’d walk us around the house and describe what was being done. Everything wrapped up on time, despite holidays and inclement weather. In the days that followed, Colin coordinated a few additional people to help out with miscellaneous punch list items, and everything was wrapped up in a timely manner. We interacted with a lot of different people from EB Window & Siding throughout the process, and everyone was top-notch in terms of craftsmanship and customer service. ABeantown Home Improvements, Inc.I recently had some work done by Beantown home improvement. I had a roof/siding/gutters/windows replaced. From the very beginning of the process they were outstanding. Very responsive when I initially called to get a price. During the estimate process Jim went to great lengths to explain the process, timing, and materials that were to be used. Timing was an issue due to covid. Manufacturers were shut down for a period of time which obviously delayed jobs that had been scheduled. This was explained to me upfront to there would be no misunderstandings as to the scheduled start date. Communication was very thorough throughout the entire process, if you have questions Jim will get back to you with answers (sometimes within minutes!). The job lasted longer than expected due to weather and shortness of days but they got the job done before the winter. I could not be happier with the quality of the work that was done and wouldn’t hesitate for a minute before calling them for future projects.- ed g.

I have done numerous home improvement projects over the years and James and his team were knowledgeable, timely, clean with great attention to detail. I would highly recommend Beantown builders... ABeantown Home Improvements, Inc.James from Beantown was prompt, all communications were polite, clear and friendly. He was honest about not knowing if he could guarantee the Hardie siding against woodpeckers but he gave me his list of references. The third call connected me with someone who also had woodpecker problems with wood siding. He confirmed that since the installation of Hardie concrete fiber siding, there has been no further woodpecker problem. Once convinced that this product would help resolve our issue, the process was smooth and fast. Contract signed, work started in 6 days and finished in 2. Excellent worksmanship (product appears almost seamless) and thorough clean up after the job. Our old house has settled and windows are crooked. The workmen cut in around them with good precision. We will have the opposite end of the house sided in the spring and will hire Beantown again to do it.- Carole Z.

AViola Roofing & ContractingMike Viola and his crew are extremely polite, professional and talented. We have a steep roof with multiple peaks that Viola Roofing & Contracting recently replaced along with front-facing siding work to increase curb appeal. Mike removed old cedar shingles and replaced them with clapboard to give a fresher look to an older home. I highly recommend Mike and plan to use his services again in the near future. His quote was fair and he is very easy to work with. He performed the work on the agreed date and within the agreed estimate. Our neighbors continue to compliment the improved look of the house. The first kitchen renovation project went so well that we have had Winter Hill take on 3 more home projects since then. The last project was a massive undertaking to build a 33’ x 17’ two-story deck. AExcellent communication! Perhaps the best I’ve seen from a contractor. While waiting to get installation done, they checked in with me on dates and always called me back if I had questions. The took a look at the roof and suggested fixing the chimney first . We had that capped and some bricks replaced with a contractor they referred. The following week they came and did the roof and leaf gutters in 1 day. They cleaned up very well afterward. When I saw a lose shingle in the yard this spring, I called them and they sent someone out to look right away (it was just an extra shingle). The were great to work with and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

FIt didn't - I called to schedule a site visit so they could give me a quote. They insisted that I be on-site for the visit and I asked why as I explained that I was based on the Cape and that my girlfriend was concerned about Covid. The person on the other end of the call couldn't give me an answer on why I needed to be there in person - just that that is their policy. I offered to call or Facetime and she said no they wouldn't do that. I asked again why I needed to be there, she started rhyming off a bunch of questions about what type of siding I wanted, how much this or that, etc. I said I want to have what is there replaced. I said I will try and see if my building manager could be there - she then said I sounded like a difficult customer and that they didn't want my business. I can only assume that it was someone related to the owner I was speaking to as any other employee would have/should have been fired for how my inquiry was handled.
