  • I cannot say enough how good Eddie and his crew are. He called the night before (this was important because I was initially not going to be there), they showed up on time and let me know by text they were there. They made quick, professional work of the lighting, cleaning up as they progressed. He introduced each member of his crew and they were equally polite and professional. I can't stress this enough. I had to wait a month to schedule Eddie, which should tell you something up front that he is in demand, but I am so glad I waited. Pricing was very reasonable as well: 8 recessed lights installed in living room, 3 recessed lights installed in hallway. (I provided 5" cans with trim and led bulbs) $825 Installed Panasonic whisper quiet fan/light combo with venting in bathroom. $775 (I thought this was high initially till I seen price of fan alone was over 200!) Also, they had to install venting as there was none previous. Extremely happy and have already bragged about them to my co-workers!

  • Mike came out within a couple of days of my request.  He helped me define the scope of the job through pictures and phone-consultation.  His on-site work is excellent and meets all of my expectations.  Mike's pricing is fair and in line with what I was anticipating.  This is the second job he's done for me and I'm sure it wont be the last :-)

  • From the telephone call to set up the service to the Electrician coming out was an enjoyable experience.  The Electrician was on time, very polite and knowledgeable.  I would not hesitate to use Northern Lights Electric, Inc. again.  I have a couple of more issues I need to take care of before winter and have already given them a call to set up my next appointment!!  I highly recommend this company!!

  • I?ve called to get an estimate on some work I needed to get done (outside outlet and rewire of bathroom fan).  I did mention that based on Angie?s list reviews I would like them to come out and provide an estimate. I did mention that I had an Angie?s list coupon as well.  Since I called after working hours I left a voicemail message.  I gave my office number and my cell as contact info.  To this date no call back to schedule a visit.

  • When R.Riggs said he could renovate our small and only bathroom we unfortunately hired him based on our previous experience with him (he repaired a leak from bathroom sink). A job expected to last 2-3 weeks in July continued in an agonizing manner until September 1, 2012. His first major blunder was attempting to level the floor. His poor skills resulted in an uneven surface with craters! He slipped and fell tearing the shower curtain down. Cement remains on a hall closet door, wall and carpet. The next day he had tile guys come and do the job right. The only item he was asked to purchase was the window. The only style he was asked not to purchase is the one he got. Initially, we attempted to grin and bear it but realized we would not be happy with a double casement window. We ordered a double hung window which took 2 weeks for delivery but did not delay progress. His work habits accomplished that. Although he called us his top priority he was unable to come at the time he chose. His solution for this was to say he could come between 9a-12p every day. And he frequently left for lunch after being here for 1 1/2 hours. His workday was frequently 3-4 hours. Frequently he was out buying supplies. He said it took 5 tries to find the right size nozzle. Another time he forgot his ladder so he called it a day. Then he forgot he had an appointment. and couldn't come. On a Sunday night he called to say the tile guys were coming the next day as planned to install tile around the tub and he needed to know the design that was chosen. He was told horizontal. As communication was found not to be his strong point, the tile guys were given different instructions. We were able to work it out and they did a good job. We did not expect a plumber to have difficulty installing a shower, toilet, or tub spout. But he did! He installed the American Standard cadet 3 toilet without following the instructions on the box. He broke parts that came in the box and used his own. He said, "it was a piece of junk and he could not guarantee it". He saved the box so it could be returned. He suggested we put the old toilet back. So far, 10 days later no problem. But he certainly did not instill confidence in his work. Nor would he give us the broken parts as requested. He claimed the tub spout that was purchased came with the wrong directions. Therefore he had to use a different one that he was more familiar with. When asked to provide these instructions he was unable. He spoke to the reputable store that apologized and provided us with what Riggs wanted. By the way, while we were running to the store to get it he went to lunch. The salesman said that what he wanted might not work with this system. Upon Riggs return, it was strongly suggested that he install the equipment originally purchased. He did figure it out but not without mishap; a pipe in a bedroom closet broke. His response was, “it will dry in a half hour. “ We had a fan blowing on it for three days. His attempt at inserting the floating shelf in recessed area in wall was a fiasco. We asked him not to touch it. Again he was rescued by the tile guy. If it had been given to the tile guy at the appropriate time it would not have been left for him. He left a buildup of debris in every room and in front of the house. He needed to be told to discard it. Of course he left the house without doing this and needed to be called back. We were extremely happy to see him leave on Sept 1. We will finish the paint touch ups he said he took care of. We will fill in the exposed staples around the door. We purchased quality fixtures and tile that look very nice but we had a terrible summer putting up with him!

  • My experience with Redman Construction was a positive one from start to finish.  The employees were professional at all times, forthcoming in answering my questions, and accommodating to my needs.   They took pride in their work even down to the smallest detail.  I would certainly utilize their services again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a home remodeling project.
