  • My dogs adore all the walkers that have come and wait at the window watching for them to drive up. The walkers give them such a work out in the hour they come that my dogs are exhausted in a good way for the remainder of the day. The walkers have given very good training advice and are truly interested in the well being of my dogs. I have always been promptly notified of changes in the schedule. For a few months I will be going to my summer home but plan to use them as soon as we return from vacation.

  • The service is pretty good. They could use some better help at the desk. The girls at the front desk are typically not the friendliest people on the planet. The vets themselves are very good, very friendly, and compassionate. They are efficient. It's not that they are mean, they are just doing their job.

  • We have 4 dogs, 3 of which we have groomed at GroomTown regularly and 1 sporadically. All 4 of the dogs are rescues and have their own issues and GroomTown deals with all of them in a caring and professional manner. In addition the dogs return home happy and show no signs of stress or fear. This is especially important to note as one of the dogs was badly abused in her former life and is terrified of having her nails cut. The dogs range in size from 160 pounds, to 25 pounds, which goes to show no job is too big or too small for GroomTown. In addition to regular grooming they perform special services such as de-skunking. Unfortunately our big boy was hit by a skunk late one night, the next morning we called GroomTown and they got us in for an emergency visit the same day. GroomTown uses products that are kind to the dogs skin and they always end up smelling clean and fresh, not perfumed! Also, they offer a service called a blueberry facial, which for anyone who has a dog with tear stains or that have a lot of facial wrinkles like a bulldog, it is a miracle. The pups faces are clean and non-irritated and it has greatly reduced inflammation. GroomTown prices are reasonable and are based on the size of the dog and the amount of work needed (Bath and Nail trim vs, Bath, Full cut, blow out etc.) which we have not found at other groomers. We have even used GroomTown for visiting dogs (we watch our families dogs when they go on vacation). GroomTown has treated these dogs with just as much care and attention to detail as they do their regular pup clients. We would recommend GroomTown to anyone who is looking for a place to lovingly care for their pets hygiene needs!

  • First off - the staff - techs and admin are good.  They just don't have the top level to organize or respond w/o the DMVM - who  is often absent.  If there is an office manager - there is no management or communication across the staff.  They will not know what another staff member has done.
I the past two weeks there was only one DVM - the owner, not five DVM as stated here, and she was part time.... Understandably due to personal problems.  I get that - but this is a medical practice.
I have used this vet for ~ 8 years for convenience only.  Standard annual exams and vaccinations mostly - but recently critical care.
Riverside may not consult owners before treatment procedures and it will run up your bill - in some instances unnecessarily.  For example, when my dog was young he got Lyme Disease and was symptomatic.  He was given standard treatment.  At annuals they would still perform Lyme screening - even though it would be positive due to the initial exposure.  They also recommended treatment although the dog was not symptomatic.  This resulted in a billing dispute and my insistence they talk to me before performing work not specifically discussed and agreed.
There has always been a disconnect of top level information at this practice - and it continues today.
During recent critical care additional xrays were taken the day after the first round of xrays which I reviewed w/ the DVM.  At that time I was advised many of the snaps were not usable - due to their issues and I would not be charged for them.  At the end of the week when settling the bill there were more xrays @ $120.  The animal's condition did not have change in 24 hour to warrant additional xrays - unless the problem from the previous day [their fault] was piled on.  This is a pending billing dispute.
I understand that Vets make money from prescriptions.  But $17 for a one liter bag of ringers solution where it costs $4.00 is a stretch.  Same with "prescription" food that cannot be purchased in Massachusetts without a prescription - even though there is nothing in the food - but food.  But if the DVM is not available - you can't get a prescription.
Look - when your pet is ill and needs critical care - you're at the mercy of the DVM.  This practice is disorganized and always has been.
Moral of this story - you take care of your pet and not rely on this practice to do anything but what is in the "book".  If that.

  • Cat Whiskers Inn was a great place to leave my cats. She took care of them, they were in great shape when I picked them up, they weren't on edge or nervouse. The place was clean and did not smell like she had a bunch of cats kenneled which means she cleans the place often. She plays music for the cats and lets them out to play. Overall the place was a great find for me.

  • My dogs have been patients of Dr. Barlow and Water's Edge for 15+ years. Dr. Barlow is excellent. She takes the time to be sure you understand everything and gives you options without judgment. Her staff is top notch! I have never in 15+ years had a negative experience with anyone associated with Water's Edge. They genuinely care about their clients and patients and go above and beyond for them. I find their pricing to be inline with and/or lower than other veterinarians. I highly recommend Water's Edge for your veterinarian needs.

  • A total disaster!  If you can believe this, she came out looking less groomed than when she went in.  I will never use them for dog grooming again.  She ended up looking a mess for a month because I had to wait for the hair to grow out a bit before taking her to
    another groomer.

  • Lori and Lisa are FABULOUS! We love them, our dogs love them and they've even told us that they love our dogs. They give daily text/photo updates, clean up accidents and give our pets so much love they don't even realize we're gone!

  • We have used the Strut N Mutt several times over the last few years for occasional vacation pet sitting for our dogs.  Sandra is extremely detail oriented, making sure that she and her team has every bit of information necessary to keep my pets happy and healthy while we're away.   She is endlessly flexible with my specific requests, and really treats her visits with us as a unique experience rather than just another dog walk.  She takes photos of the dogs on their outtings with her, and leaves long, detailed notes about each visit.  Our neighbors have seen her out with our dogs and commented that it's evident that Sandra genuinely loves animals and is so kind towards them.
I have peace of mind when on vacation that all is well at home, as I trust her judgement and expertise in providing our dogs with proper care as well as her generosity as a dog lover - our dogs have always seemed a little disappointed when we are home from our  vacations, as they had lots of extra belly scratches and hugs while we were away!  We originally decided on pet sitting over a kennel stay for our dogs as our older Siberian Husky had seperation anxiety and confinement issues, and didn't do well in a kennel setting.  It was clear we made the right decision in choosing the Strut N Mutt for our pet sitting services when we returned home to a happy dog and a damage free home!
