  • I spent a very long period of time checking in between three windows, 1 hours, yes, I did arrive early for my appointment. The first, new patient, receptionist left to go ask about a patient who did not have insurance the practice accepted. She and a manager returned 15 minutes later, where by I heard the entire conversation.  Finally, it took less than 5 minutes to be preliminarily checked in,  I was then given a stack of forms which I could have brought completed to my appointment.  This had been scheduled for three weeks, and then rescheduled with another provider. I completed the forms, and  then waited again in line for the providers secretary. As I waited, I heard her tell one patient he had a large bill, and insist she stop and walk him to billing on the other side. Meanwhile three patients waited to check in. Eventually, someone else offered to wait on me, and then took another patient as I was walking to the window. As far as the provider he was a surgeon, in the end, I would have been scheduled for injections and needed to go back to an originally scheduled pain specialist versus surgeon. After a one hour wait they called the patient after me, I told them I wanted my forms and was leaving. The manager would ONLY accept my being seen by the PA, more waiting for me. Remember I was scheduled to se a doctor, and yes they can bill insurance for my seeing the PA, or she offered to reschedule me. The doctor was running 35 minutes late, I would be seen after the PA, however, I didn't trust it to be another 35 minutes. Last time I checked I was not a moron. She walked me to the door and threatened me, I took my papers and left.....RUN do not walk from this practice, I was in so much pain the day I was there. in case they were wondering, yes, that was a tens machine under my clothes that keeps the pain in my back tolerable but does not touch my legs. Their lack of compassion is very evident, but obviously they have a large referral base. I was also threatened with the manager calling my PCP. Luckily, she is not on their side but mine, and not part of this referral base.  If your PCP refers you here question why?  Remember the physician corporation signs the administration/manager payroll each week and only they can make the changes.  They take a huge profit sharing cut from this practice by employing the bare bones administrative staff they do. No good provider makes their patients stand in line for an hour to check in because they need to ensure they are being reimbursed over patient care.
