Although I though the carpet was a bit pricier for the bedroom than I expected - it has been 10 years since I did it the last time and so I don't have a good guide to tell me otherwise - I will say that I did get competing bids on the other flooring and they were right in the mix. within a few hundred dollars - but their service is great! They were very good about ordering the carpet - and installing it quickly before new furniture is delivered - the installers went about their work quickly, neatly, quietly and were great to deal with - No real need to deal with them at all - the best kind of worker - no needed assistance or supervision - just get out of their way and let them do their thing! I expect I will hire them to do the other flooring because they were so good.

  • The service was awful. 4 hours late. Did not bring enough carpet. Need to come back another day. Left my door open and let my dog out. Their response was "I think your dog is over there." (Pointing to a busy street and showing no remorse for letting her out by leaving the door open the whole time.) Did not rehang doors.

    I joined Angie’s List and asked for a recommendation to have a bedroom rug installed. A.J.ROSE was highly recommended so I went to their store in Burlington and picked out a rug. They then sent someone over to measure the bedroom and the closet to install it. I paid 50% of the $1429.45 and the balance when the rug came in. It was scheduled to be installed March 12, 2016 between 8am and 10am. Jason called me the night before to verify the date and time.
    I waited till 11:15 that morning and then proceeded to call A.J.ROSE. I was told I was not on the list for installation that day. I told them everything was verified with Jason the night before and there had to be some mistake. They could not reach Jason and told me to call back in 30 minutes, which I did. They still could not get a hold of Jason and told me they would call me when they did. In the meantime everything was removed from my bedroom and the closet, except for the bed and 2 bureaus. I am 71 years old and had to do this on my own so to be told I wasn’t on the list wasn’t what I wanted to hear.
    Finally about 20 minutes later the installers arrived. They proceeded to go up to the bedroom and told me they did not have orders to install a new rug in the closet and didn’t have the rug to do it. I asked them to show me their paperwork which they did with no problem. The paperwork said they were to move a bed, 2 bureaus and 2 tables. The closet floor was to be cleared out by me. I asked them why I would have to clear the closet floor (which had a big wooded chest that I had to move) if the closet wasn’t to be done. I called A.J.ROSE and was told it was an error on their part and they would order the rug for the closet and install it as soon as possible.
    This Saturday April 2, 2016 they came to install it. There was not enough rug so they had to make a seam on the floor of the closet. The installers did a terrible job (the seam between the steps and the floor is very noticeable and is shedding pieces of rug, there are pieces of rug coming off the edge of the flat surface of the floor). When I refused to sign the paperwork, the installer got very rude. Why would I sign for a job I am not happy with?
    Monday April 4, 2016 I just got off the phone with Bill from A.J.ROSE and he is coming out to see the job they did 4/6/2016. He said sometimes a seam is noticeable because of some ridiculous reason he was giving me which I wasn’t paying much attention too. I am 71 years old and have has at least 8 rugs installed at different times in my life and never noticed the seam if there needed to be one.. I told him I am not satisfied with the way it came out and there should of never been a seem on the floor of the closet if it was measured correctly. This seam has nothing to do with the seam between the steps and the floor of the closet. This is a small closet and I want it done right.
    This is going to be 3 Saturdays that I have had to get up early and make sure the closet is empty. They finally set up a late afternoon appointment but when that day came they didn't show up because the installer had the wrong date written down.  WHAT A NIGHTMARE.
    They did not even offer some sort of restitution for their mistakes and “my time”. In the end it is their loss because I also had them give me an estimate to replace my basement rug which is over 2 times the size and price of the bedroom one. I could not honestly recommend them to anyone because of how many times it took them to solve the problem and the fact they didn't even try to make restitution for their mistakes and my time.
