AMaster Chimney SweepersMatt from Master Chimney Sweepers performed work on our home to inspect and clean the liner, which had been installed by a different company. Upon completion of the project, Matt showed us photos of the chimney and informed us that due to age and deterioration, the chimney needed to be repointed. Matt was professional, courteous and diligent. He arrived on time, kept us informed of the project, and took care to clean the work area upon completion. AViola Roofing & ContractingMike Viola and his crew are extremely polite, professional and talented. We have a steep roof with multiple peaks that Viola Roofing & Contracting recently replaced along with front-facing siding work to increase curb appeal. Mike removed old cedar shingles and replaced them with clapboard to give a fresher look to an older home. I highly recommend Mike and plan to use his services again in the near future. His quote was fair and he is very easy to work with. He performed the work on the agreed date and within the agreed estimate. Our neighbors continue to compliment the improved look of the house. ABoston's Best ChimneyBoston's Best Chimney was phenomenal. They were professional from the front office staff to the chimney repair team. The front office called the day before to confirm both the inspection and the work. We needed our water heater exhaust flue relined and a chimney cap replaced. Kevin and his team were top notch. He was knowledgeable and gave great advice. We decided to defer Smoketite and relining the main chimney for a few years since we weren't going to burn any wood in the fire place until my toddler was older. The work came under the quote. I will definitely return to Boston's Best Chimney in a few years when I need the main chimney flue relined or if I need additional work. I give them my highest recommendation.- Thomas T.

ACaesar's Roofing IncCaesar Sr. and Caesar Jr. are a pleasure. Hire Caesar's Roofing, there is no need to look for another roofing company! Caesar Sr's expertise is evident. He is highly experienced, has an excellent eye for making useful recommendations for one's house style, communicates in a reassuring way, and charges a really fair price for quality workmanship. His crew is unbelievably efficient and fast. 12 men showed up and completed the entire house roof and a shed by noon. Everyone knew their individual jobs, working diligently as a team and without excessive noise-making, chit-chat, etc. They cleaned up debris from gutters and yard, leaving little trace of all the commotion and material. Efficient supervision by a senior man and Caesar's cousin Mike, both of whom addressed questions and concerns satisfactorily. The crew discovered that our brick chimney had deteriorated and took photos. It needed repointing badly, so I subsequently arranged with Caesar to send his mason. 2 expert men, working without damaging new shingles, repaired and cleaned up quite well in half a day. Caesar Jr handled billing and obtained the building permit. He is extraordinarily polite and expressed gratitude that genuinely came through his emails.- JOHN P.

FTerrible. The spot they repaired started leaking again. I called and asked them to take a look. They wanted my receipt. I didn't have it, just my canceled check. They had a record that they came out to my house, but had retained no records of the actual work done or the warranty. He gave some excuse about switching record systems in the computer age, but it was from 2020, so a little strange he just lost the record. Without me keeping a record he would not stand by the work and would not even inspect it without charging me.

AIt went well. Brendan was very good and professional. The price was pretty steep. I knew what it could cost in advance but one of the chimneys barely needed cleaning so I was hoping for a break. Since this was a property we just bought it was reassuring to have the service. Not sure if I would hire them again at that steep price. FNot good. Canceled at the last minute. Rescheduled for two days later. They called the next day to confirm the upcoming appt and I had already lined up someone else so I canceled. Received 2 more calls, and then a third from Chris who started arguing with me about canceling. He then texted me saying he would “see me tomorrow”. I answered that I was canceling and was all set. Texted again! I told him NO do not come to my house! Felt very threatened. Very unprofessional!

C"Frankie" showed up and I knew the moment I met him this was not a chimney pro. Young guy, seemed to lack experience, appeared to be doing the job but was very distracted talking about cryptocurrency and his future career as a financial guru. At the end of the job, he handed me the service report and had me sign and I wrote up a check. As he was leaving, I noticed the report had the wrong name and address on it. I ran out to the van and caught him in time to show him that he had written it up for someone in Sudbury (the services performed were correct). I had him generate a new service report with the correct info. He thanked me and said I was saving his butt by pointing out the mistake. Overall his lack of experience and lack of attention to detail have me worried enough to have a second company come out to do an inspection. For first time customers I recommend this company send out an experienced chimney sweep and not "Frankie". If the second company finds a subpar cleaning was done I will be updating this review with a lower score.

AMy chimney was not in good condition. The sun was shining through between the bricks, not up to code and no cap in place. Gordy repointed the entire chimney, extended the flue to bring it up to code, installed a cap and swept/cleaned it. Gordy is a very nice guy and did good work for a reasonable price. I would recommend and use his services again.
