  • I spoke to Jeff, who was very friendly and professional. He explained that due to an influx of new customers, it would likely be 6-8 weeks before he could come and complete the job, although quotes could be done much sooner. I thanked him.
    - Timothy B.
  • It was great. Jeff was able to come out quickly and he had the problem identified and fixed within an hour or two. He was very professional and did a little preventive maintenance to help prevent future problems. We will definitely call on him again.

  • Work was completed professional within the parameters of the contract.  Contacted my insurance company on my behalf to ensure continued insurance coverage while the work was being done to remove the Knob and Tube wiring.  Made well thought out recommendations for additional outlets.  Quick response time to correct a circuit that kept tripping after work was completed

  • Exchanged a few messages via Angie's List attempting to get a quote to have bathroom exhaust fan installed.  Provided a few dates, which didn't work because he was involved with other jobs, messaged a few times attempting to find a mutually convenient date.  I waited a bit then contacted him again.  There was a delay in his response, then he messaged apologizing saying he was away.  I responded and provided my home and cell number to expedite the process but my last communication to him in June went unanswered.  Exhaust fan purchased and sititng in the trunk of my car.  I'm sure it's because he is very busy, but a was disappointed, especially as Mr. Faria had positive reviews.  2 other electricians I contacted didn't respond to me at all.  So far striking out with Angie's list.

  • I received the initial estimate for the work and I thought the price was fair. After reflecting further on the project I contacted D-Tech to discuss a couple of modifications to the initial quote.  The modifications consisted of adding an Ammeter at the location of the breaker boxes, upgrading the cable from 8/3 to 6/3  and extending the length of the connection cord from 25 to 30 feet.
D-Tech contacted me a few days later with an updated quote.  I thought the new quote was high at an additional $550 for the modifications but decided to proceed with the project.  I paid them half of their fee on Nov. 18th and they started the job on Nov. 21st.
Two workers from the company spent about 6 hours installing the inlet box and running the 6/3 wire to the breaker panels. The work was neatly done, however, it seemed that they spent a great deal of time in transit, both to and from their vehicles and apparently to and from supply stores. My sense was that they hadn't come prepared for the job at hand.
At about 2:30 they were finishing up for the day, and informed me that they had to wait for the transfer switches, which had been ordered, to come in. They told me that the owner, Rick Souza would be in touch with me as soon as the switches came in.
I waited 2 weeks and finally decided to call Rick. He told me that the switches should be in later in the week, but I would be contacted with an update by day's end. I received no such update.  This scenario continued for the next several weeks until I was finally unable to contact anyone at their business number.  I left several messages and emails, none of which were answered.  I even went to their office, but it was locked.
At this point, I was contemplating the idea that I might have to find another electrician to complete the project.  I was furious, to say the least.  Then on Jan. 17th, nearly 2 months after starting the job, I received a nervous sounding voice mail from Rick Souza  stating that the transfer switches have finally left the factory.  He tried to suggest that that the factory had been waiting for parts with which to manufacture the switches.  Prior to this call, I had contacted several online vendors who'd assured me that they, indeed, had these Generac transfer switches in stock, and could have them to me in 2 days!
Two weeks later, Jan. 31st, 2 workers from D-Tech arrived to finish the job. The work looked to be very well done, but besides leaving behind a mess, they also left the packing list attached to the box that the switches came in.  The packing list clearly shows that the switches were never even ordered until the 17th of January, the day Mr. Souza left me the voice mail.
I paid them the final payment on Feb. 6th, only after I tested the system out.  No one from the company offered to do so for me or even instruct me on how to utilize the switches.  Finally, they tried to bill me $150 for permits they never pulled.  Be very careful if you decide to use this company.

  • This was a great experience. The technician took the time to understand each of the jobs and helped us think through various decisions about the work. The work was completed quickly and without creating a mess. The technician took the time to answer all of our questions. We would definitely use this company again.

  • I cannot speak highly enough about J and F Construction and all of their employees. Fernando took the time to talk with me, so I fully understood what his team was going to do for the job and was within my budget.

  • Overall I was impressed with Dave's service. He came and quoted the job a couple of days after I contacted him. He was helpful and not pressuring at all as I asked him about what my various options were for the upgrade. After I gave him the go ahead, that I wanted to do the work, he was at my house in about a week. He worked quickly, thoroughly and efficiently. He didn't get annoyed when I asked lots of questions as well. He pointed out to me several sketchy setups in my electrical system that he found along the way, which I appreciated. The electrical service in my house was a real mess, with a hodge-podge of four different fuse boxes. He did a nice job of tidying up the area as he installed the circuit breaker box. He cleaned up all the residual mess.

  • He answered all my questions in detail and gave best case and worst case scenarios. I've called numerous other electricians about this same issue and he's estimates were spot on.
