    The Boston Solar Company
    Meeting was held to determine if my home would benefit from installing solar panels. How the solar panels work and function was discussed as well as financing and all other aspects which would be involved in the process. Representatives from the company were in constant contact through out the entire time. The installation was performed within the time provided. Followup and explanation of how the system would operate and how to monitor the systems production were reviewed and explained. We had a positive experience with them and would recommend them to anyone interested in going solar.

    Robison Electric
    Things started out well enough. Then he started being in sporadic contact: "I lost my phone" or "Sorry, my batteries went flat" or "I was sick" etc. etc. Super, super stressful being in the middle of a job, where only this guy understands what has been done, only to have him go dark. Then we noticed an odd work pattern: he would show up late in the afternoon and work until late in the evening -- took us a while to figure out that he was moonlighting as he worked by day for another company and this was just side work. The town wiring inspector came by several times, and was very dubious about Robison's work. Inspector opined to me that JR must not understand the building code, because basic things were simply done in nonsensical ways, with wire runs looping all over the place. Robison had stapled several wires in the basement across/perpendicular to open joists, which is a basic code violation that should have tipped us off that the guy just wasn't in his element. The insides of the breaker panel looked like a rat's nest. Now, to his credit, Robison's work did pass final inspection. We paid him -- an extraordinarily high amount for the work (no invoice was presented, he just verbally gave us a number based on his hours and some supplies) -- and then he simply disappeared into thin air. This was a real downer, and there was no reason for it. We were never rude or disrespectful or difficult with the guy. He's just a flake. The bummer was, after we moved in, bad things began to happen. Two circuits in the house suddenly went dark and we could not figure out what was what. Tried and tried and tried to reach Robison (email/text/phone) but no answer. Called another electrician, fortunately highly professional. He was stumped at how Robison's work had passed code. (Attached is a pic of the new guy sorting out Robison's mess of wires inside out electrical panel.) Turned out that what Robison had done was create those two circuits with "stacked" GFCI's, and they kept turning each other off. The new guy sorted out the problems with those circuits, and rearranged the panel layout so as to be neat and professional. At the end of the day, we had to pay twice for this work and I would have expected anyone who was halfway professional to stand behind their work enough to accept a phone call two weeks after it was completed. I mean, for heaven's sakes. In sum: nice guy, but highly disorganized, apparent iffy understanding of building codes, and absolutely zero follow-through or accepting responsibility for mistakes. I would clearly recommend finding a different electrician. This guy is a very nice chap, but is a far cry from a reliable, organized pro.

    The perfect experience
    One call to Jim and he knew exactly what was needed. He visited the house to create the estimate. We also added a plug for an electric dryer. He gave us a date and time for the estimate and showed up and explained everything to my Wife so she understood. He explained the least and most amount of worked that could be required. They would not know exactly how much is needed to be done until they started to take things apart. We received an estimate that called out all the work items and which was the possible extra according to the state they found.
    We set the date and time and he was there and got right down to work. In the end, the work was incredible; it was so clean you would not know they were there. He explained everything to my Wife so she understood and the final price was less than the estimate because it didn?t need the extras. When you look at the work that is exposed outside you can see the quality and
    care that was taken in the work.
    This is the type of person you want to find and stick with them for all your electrical work.

    We first used Prime Time for the installation of a home theatre system.  There were two employess who came out and they were both extremely educated and were willing to explain everything that they were doing. Their appearance was clean and professional. I was almost blown over backwards when they put on blue paper shoe covers so they wouldn't get any dirt or debris form their shoes on my floors or carpeting.  If they had to go outside to the truck for something, they would come back in and put on new shoe covers. They explained everything before they left and gave us a tutorial on how to use our new system. They were also available to speak to when I was on my own with my new system and needed help. Their customer service and prices are outstanding! I have continued to use them for all my electrical needs and have never been disappointed.

    Watch out, this guy is a crook!!  I hired him to wire a new construction house and signed even a contract with him. He only started the job (spike it) and then quit working on it when a more lucrative commercial job was available. I repeatedly called him for months (he screens his calls) to try and get him to finish the job because I had scheduled other tradesmen who were waiting for him (insulators, sheet rockers, plasterers, painters, carpenters, cabinetmakers). He was tying everybody up and pushing up my costs and pushing back the finish date.  I was forced to get another electrician to finish his crummy work. He didn’t even know how to space and attach outlet boxes to meet code (the new electrician fixed it). Then, this weasel sues me for the not paying the rest of the negotiated contract price for work that he never fulfilled. John Sulyma, lousy work and even lousier service. Slimy doesn’t even begin to describe this looser.

    I brought a motor in for repair and was told that they could find parts and fix almost anything on a fairly new motor. I questioned George (the counter guy) and he said that the manufacturer of my motor, Marathon Electric was still in business and they have gotten parts from them before. This was a Delta Table saw motor that was no longer available by Delta. It had a special mounting bracket, so an of the shelf motor was going to require a time consuming retrofitting. Dam the expense; I needed it yesterday so I told them to fix this one ASAP. A month later I had to beg them just to have a look at it and find out how much it would cost to fix it. I'm a contractor and these guys are costing me work!! BOTTOM LINE HERE IS , THEY JERKED ME AROUND FOR A MONTH AND MADE ME BEG , THEY COULDN'T FIX IT  OR EVEN FIGURE OUT THE WIRE DIAGRAM. AND THEN THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE ME $25 WHEN I PICKED UP THE PIECES!!! THEY SUCK!!! . Go to Broadway Electric Sales & Services at 89 Globe Mills Avenue, Fall River, (508) 673-3339
