ANorman BuildersWe hired Norman builders to convert our basement into an inlaw for my mother - full kitchen, bathroom, etc. Ryan was always very responsive and did a good job scoping the level of effort. His team was great to work with. They were always very respectful, reliable, punctual, and trust worthy. The very few things that didn't go as I thought (minor) - Ryan was quick to fix. ALourival MasonryIf you are lucky enough to have stumbled across finding Lourival and his crew than you should just hire him and call it a day! We spent months deciding on the pavers and materials and design of our project. Lourival was beyond patient with my indecisiveness and luckily still agreed to take the job! He is very professional, knowledgeable and skilled. His crew is also very professional, skilled and creative in on-site design and problem solving. They were invaluable to our project and I can honestly say that our paver patio and back stair landing would not be half as beautiful without their creative thinking and expertise. Lourival was instrumental in pitching water away from our foundation. We used to get puddles in our basement and have not had one drop of water since Lourival and his team expertly diverted the water away from the house. I truly wish I hadn’t delayed all spring and summer and had hired Lourival sooner! He completed the project at the end of August and did an incredibly beautiful job. We were so impressed with dealing with Bruce from our initial meeting and it wasn’t hard to make our decision. Done Right’s staff were diligent, astute and we’re very neat throughout the entire process. They were attentive, flexible and extremely hard working. Always making sure that we were comfortable and well informed during the entire project! Bruce turned our backyard into a 5-Star Resort that we will enjoy for many years to come. The hardscape around the pool that Bruce recommended has not only added value to our home but also gave us so much more outdoor living space then we could’ve imagined possible to give us an entirely different feel. He also installed a custom gas fire-pit with a circular patio and free standing bench wall with a bluestone coping. AThe city required replacement of the lead water line from the meter to the sidewalk. Alex was very helpful in providing a quote and explaining the scope of the work. The day of the project Declan and Jared arrived promptly and began excavating the sidewalk. They were able to replace the water line with copper and fill in the hole in about 4 hours. They will return in a few days to replace the concrete in the sidewalk. My experience with CJ Doherty was very positive.

AWorking with Judi was a success: during our initial consultation she listened carefully and incorporated the views of three people in two different condo units to provide us with a plan that met our requirements and preferences. She gave us a clear estimate up front that the project stayed close to. We chose to install irrigation and Judi coordinated that and made sure we got what we needed. When there was an issue with a plant failing after the first winter, Judi was responsive in replacing it. The end results have been in place for two years and are still going strong with minimal maintenance on our part. Our yard looks great!

AWe received an initial quote from Harris & Co. based on a recommendation from a coworker to replace a backyard deck with a stone patio. I received three quotes from various contractors. Harris's quote was the most expensive but I went with Joshua Harris's company anyway for the following reasons: * Joshua had a complete treatment that included landscaping (which ultimately I did not do), pavers, lowering of the ground, demolition, fire pit, and seating wall. * They were responsive, using text and email and replying promptly. * Joshua Harris had a better vision for the project than I did! He envisioned a wall, lighting, making the patio extremely large (due to the limited space in the backyard, he thought that leaving a bit of grass would be pretty pointless). Ultimately, it was the completeness of the vision that drew me to use his service. Since he does landscaping, lighting, and tons of stuff, Joshua will give you a pretty complete treatment. This costs you. I think that you get what you pay for, but it's something to keep in mind. If you have a budget, keep your discipline and see what aspects that you can go without! That all said, we went all out for this project and added a long wall, accent pavers, a large fire pit, and lighting. This was an extremely expensive project for us, but it's been worth it as the end result is rather beautiful and makes the space much more usable. Before, we wouldn't even leave out the back door because the deck was so small and the yard was so dreary, but the large 28' stone patio makes the space inviting and easy to walk across, even when we're not entertaining. As for the work, I was impressed by the amount of communication that was provided. They contacted me almost every day to let me know if they were going to arrive to work and informed me if circumstances (usually rain, sometimes illness) affected the schedule. Joshua was overall very professional. There were occasionally circumstances though that affected what could be done at any point - for example a certain model of lamp I requested wasn't available, so I had to get a different one; in another case one of the bulbs burned out and I had to reach out to get it replaced. The final thing is that Joshua follows through. The mulch for the back was delayed due to an inventory issue and I hadn't heard from him after the work for a number of weeks, but then he called me when the items came back in and scheduled the follow-up. The point is: if you need something from him, don't be afraid to reach out. The work was quite costly but I think that you get what you pay for and when you go with Harris & Co., you get a lot.

AI can't say enough about Justin and his team. He added on a patio to an existing walkway, installed a firepit, and finished off a retaining wall. Justin is extremely professional, communicated very well throughout the entire project, and his prices are very reasonable. He did an excellent job matching the new paves to the existing pavers, which is not an easy job. I have already received so many compliments on my new patio and several neighbors asking me who did the work. I would highly recommend Northeast Hardscapes and Masonry!

AHerb offered an estimation over the phone, but realized our pool & deck removal was larger than a typical pool removal job. He stopped by our house the next day to assess the job more accurately. His quote was very reasonable. One week later, he and his crew completed the job of dismantling deck and pool and hauling it away. It was a big job and Herb stayed right on time and budget. There were very few contractors available who would do this work. Herb Tebo solved a problem for us quickly and efficiently
