    Electrical Experts
We just bought a very old house that still had active knob & tube, two wire Romex, some shoddy amateur wiring, and only one room with actual grounded outlets. Our house was full of quirky surprises like random bricks in the wall, plywood between the beams and drywall, and just about any other problem you can think of rewiring a 160 year old house. These surprises meant that it took them far longer to complete the work than their original estimate but they did not charge us more for the added time (though there were new items that popped up that weren't in the original plan that they wrote up new invoices for). Our primary team, Shelby and RJ were amazing, they rolled with the punches, kept us updated and informed, and managed to install a new electrical panel and upgrade about 90% of the wiring in the house with minimal damage to the walls.

    MOST Builders and General Contracting
We are very happy with the outcome. Most Builders was a pleasure to work with. They held to the schedule and budget. Communication was easy. They really understood what we were trying to accomplish and had smart solutions to many details that we couldn't work out for ourselves.

Hilltown Plaster Co & Handyman Services
Very well. He recommended we consult with Fleury's Lumber here in Easthampton and they recommended the correct stain for the job. We purchased the stain and he applied two coats of the finish, after sanding and filling cracks.

    Bob Peters Painting
It went very well. His team was very professional and the work done was of high quality and the price was very fair. They really gave the apartment a fresh feel. I would certainly hire Bob and his team again.

    Dave Lane Building and Remodeling
Estimate was detailed and the named price was what we paid, to the dollar -- no surprises. Dave built us a gorgeous, super well-constructed (city inspector was mightily impressed) space that we spend as much time in as possible. Dave called it a "screened room," not just a basic porch, and he was right. Everybody who has seen it and relaxed in it loves it, too. Throughout the process, Dave was clear and easy to talk with (as was his whole crew). He and they were always patient with our questions and requests for changes as we went along. As homeowners new to the building process, we were anxious and uncertain about many things, but Dave maintained great equanimity and good humor and was always available to us when we needed to run something by him. Everybody was completely professional and very good at their jobs. (The C rating for Punctuality below is mainly because it took a while to get the estimate.)

Peter is very particular about his work.  He put down drop cloths across the kitchen floor.  Even though I mentioned they are to be replaced.  He has a very nice personality and an easy going manner.   He came on time with his helper.  He made sure everything was put back in place.

Very satisfied with his business and would recommend his work.

Hilltown Plaster Co & Handyman Services
Our experience with the contractor was good and bad. James was friendly and got the job done, however, several things went wrong now creating long-term repercussions.
His job was to re-tile part of a walk in shower. For him to gain proper access, the high-end glass shower door needed to be removed. I suggested to call the company that originally installed the door to remove it, but James thought he could do it without their help.  In the process of removing the door Jim somehow broke the water tank for the toilet. Feeling bad for this unfortunate situation,I agreed to buy the water tank if he picked it up and installed it.
When it was time to re-install the shower door, I again suggested to call the installers, but James thought we could save money if he installed it. He needed a second pair of hands, so I agreed to help. During the process of installing the door, it became clear James was not  a hundred percent sure how to hinge the door to the frame. During the process of James guiding the door into the correct place the door slipped off the receiving plate and exploded into a million pieces. One of teh pieces landed undr my foot and when i moved it cut into the arch of my right foot.
Now I had to order a new glass shower door and pay for the shower door company to install it.
In the aftermath we realized that the impact of glass pieces flying throughout the bathroom, some of the antique wooden floors were damaged as well. They were pitted.
We understand we should have mentioned all the above sooner, but frankly we felt bad for the guy and tried to move past it.
However, my foot did not heal as expected, a piece of glass got stuck in the foot and has now encapsulated.
It is a very painful condition I had to see a podiatrist for. I now learned that I need surgery to remove the grape size bump from
the arch of my foot. I am scheduled to have surgery May 1st.
I have to stay off my foot for at least 2 weeks which creates another expense. I will not be able to care for the farm animals in my care and must hire someone to do my work.
The expenses in addition to the actual job are as follows:
    new toilet tank $170
    shower door $600
    hired help $350
medical expenses not covered by insurance: TBD
I am looking to recover the expenses that went above and beyond the cope of the original job.
Please let me know how to process from here.
    Best, Nicole Birkholzer

    Ryan Painting
Ryan was very professional, tidy, and a pleasure to work with.  He was great about pointing out areas where work needed to be done.  He was flexible when we changed the scope of the project. Even the dog liked Ryan.  We would hire him back in a heartbeat if there is other work to be done.

Hilltown Plaster Co & Handyman Services
James was by far one of the best experiences we had with a contractor. His professionalism was matched only by his fantastic attitude. Work was performed punctually and neatly, and we are completely satisfied with the outcome. We would recommend him for any drywall/plaster (Or anything he feels comfortable doing) job in the future.

    Valley Home Improvement, Inc.
They were very helpful and patient as changes had to be made to the original design. Their employees are very polite and professional. We did some other work through out the house during the remodel. We were able to remain in the house during the work and they were very careful about keeping all dust from the rest of the house.  We are very pleased with all of their work and were impressed with the way they respond to issues from the owner down.
