    Dave Lane Building and Remodeling
We hired Dave and his team to modify a large family room prior to our moving into our new house. Dave met with us, talked us through the quote and answered the questions we had. This project involved removing the existing wall to wall carpeting, installing hardwood flooring as well as two new doors and new wood trim in the time frame he had given us. Dave made sure to keep us apprised of any changes or questions he needed answered as the project was underway. He really did a terrific job with the installation and matching of the new doors to existing stained trim and doors in the house. We couldn't be happier. Dave is very professional and customer focused and we look forward to working with him again later this spring!

    Paint Perfect
Amazing experience! This past summer and early Spring, I hired Paint Perfect to get my home ready for sale. They painted both the interior and exterior of my home. I was most impressed with their attention to detail and exceptional quality of work. From start to finish, every task was done on time and with the utmost professionalism. As the project went along, there was a great flow of communication to ensure that I was pleased with the work. It was great coming home every night to see that the daily work was immaculately tidied up so that the flow of my home was not disrupted. If you're looking for a job to be done right, on time, at a fair price, with a friendly staff, I highly recommend going with Paint Perfect!

    Abracadabra Painting
Fantastic Job. Recently bought this home but we were not happy with the dull, dark interior colors. Tried other contractors but we got the best price quote and color advice from Brian. The work that he and his team have done has completely transformed the house. Absolutely love it. Team was on time every day, very professional and friendly, cleaned up completely when they were done for the day. One room was very difficult and Brian took care of it himself. We are now look at painting the deck and other rooms upstairs and we will hire them again. Highly recommended!

    NextGen Construction Service Inc.
Very well - Rene was helpful in designing practical layout for our addition (new construction & reconfiguration of space) while keeping costs in check. Very considerate with picking up & keeping the rest of our home clean, too. Finished on time. Very pleased with final product.

    Aardvark Painting Services

They did an excellent job, the cost was less than the other painter we received an estimate from, and the owner is very easy to work with. They also fit in our job knowing we were having a graduation party in the near future. I would definitely use them again.

    Exclusive Painting
this is the homeowner's REVISED review. the revision was required because of the numerous issues that were discovered, after the job "was done".

painted exterior of two-story house, with one coat of primer; two coats of paint were not applied on some surfaces, as contracted.
repaired or refinished only some of the surface defects.
did not remove overspray in many areas, on exterior windows.
did not leave any "touch-up" paint for one of the two colors.
did not correct peeling paint on some window frames, until homeowner identified peeling paint.

painted interior of house, all walls and trim, four bedrooms, two and one-half bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, two family/TV rooms, and finished basement.
repaired or refinished only some holes and surface defects
    damaged some door knob screws.
many paint spots remained on carpet.
paint was found on leather sofa, in two places.
many spots of paint were found on kitchen cherry-wood cabinets.
paint was found on leather vest in closet.
did not leave any "touch-up" paint for two of the three colors.

    work quality was fair.
numerous issues were discovered, after painter received final payment.
painter had said that the job would be complete only "...when homeowner was fully satisfied". painter refused to return and correct issues; told home owner he was too busy on a current job.

homeowner continues finding missing-paint ares that require correction.

    The Decksperts
These guys are AMAZING.  I cannot state strongly enough how pleased we are.  Met Dwayne at a home show, and 2 days later he called to schedule an appointment.  The day of the appointment, he called to see if being a bit early would be a problem!  Great start.  The design insight they gave was great, and we quickly had materials, size, and colors chosen.  They were able to schedule the job in between a couple of larger jobs, and they project was started off as we wanted.  I took vacation days for the project to keep an eye on things. (largely because of some past experiences with sketchy contractors).  Boy, was I glad I did!
I am a process engineer, but not a builder by any means.  But in watching their processes and methods, I was blown away.  Their level of detail, process planning, and complete focus on perfection was astounding.  Nothing escaped their watchful eyes. Any little variance from perfect was noted and corrected (not noticed by me at all - they self-inspected each step along the way).  The joists (10 x 2's) were first all hand ripped to exactly 9" to eliminate the variance in the PT lumber.  The joist hangers were 100% lag bolted (not nailed as is normal practice).  When the joists were all hung and the box was complete, they took a 20' straight edge across them to identify any high spots.  A hand planer was used to get the box completely planar.  Amazing.
The day they laid the Azek was hot and sunny (south side of the house), so Patrick whipped up a temporary canopy with lumber and a tarp so that the boards were not overly expanded (from thermal expansion).  The shaded boards were then fastened with stainless steel hidden fasteners.  The Azek plugs used to fill the few areas that needed screws were all laid out so they could find the proper grain for each specific hole to fill....and then they aligned each one so the grains were in line, and the plugs became invisible.
Every visible end-cut edge of Azek was routered with a 1/8" quarter-round.  Every fastener on the lower lattice was plugged. You cannot see a single fastener on this deck.  The stair treads are each pictured-framed in a two-tone design (not just straight across).  All of the mitered corners were pocket screwed (Kreg jig screw system) and glued. Unheard of. Their railing system is crazy strong - 4 lag bolts through the steel bases of the posts go into the 4x6 PT blocking designed into the box.  Again, no fasteners are visible, and the railings are rock solid.
They were on time every day, and every day they cleaned up every tiny bit of the work area.  We had a few opportunities to make small changes, which were suggested by them, and at no added cost.  Dwayne also "gave" us about 18" wider a deck because the Azek lengths would have needed to be cut anyway...so we only paid a bit more for the extra PT lumber needed for the larger frame.  The lattice work around the skirt needed a revision due to my error with proper grading- and they needed to do some rework.  There was no upcharge.
And now, a few months after the job was done, Dwayne has sent me an email asking how things are, and if we needed anything corrected.  Just crazy-good customer service.
We cannot give any higher a grade than A+++, 11 out of 10, or 110% satisfied.  These guys are truly "Decksperts", know their trade (they were finish carpenters at one time), pay more attention to detail than anybody I have ever hired, and really do everything right.  It's too bad more contractors weren't like Dwayne and Patrick.  These guys give contractors a fantastic name.
If you want a deck built, and choose anybody other than The Decksperts, you are making a mistake.  And don't be scared of their prices- and be sure to compare apples-to apples when evaluating the bids.  These guys build quality decks at a fair price.
    Proud to be their customers,
    Scott & Cathy Hesser

    N Riley Construction Inc
Nick and his team did an excellent job.  We had used Nick previously to clean and paint our basement when we had mold issues.  From our great experience with Nick on the basement, we hired Nick to do the bathroom.  Nick was always responsive in terms of coming out to the house, providing us with a quote and answering any questions we had.  Both times, Nick provided us with a very detailed and fairly priced quote for the work.  We needed the work done while we were on vacation.  Nick scheduled us in the those specifc dates and showed up and completed the work when he said he would.  Since we weren't home, we left Nick with our key to let him self in and lock up afterwards each day.  We had no issues whatsoever.  Nick was very easy to work with.  He gave good suggestions and advice on what we should do.  I wanted a panasonic fan on a timer and that is what Nick installed.  He referred us to a tile company where we didn't have much luck finding what we wanted.  We went to another tile company. Nick got the tile we wanted from them no issues.

Nick is so focused on service that I called him while he was working at our house and told him that we had a few issues with our bathrrom sink.  I asked him if the plumber could take a look at it while he was there.  Nick said no problem instantly and it was fixed.  No additional charge.

I am thankful that I found Nick using Angie's list.  I now have a contractor that I can use when I need something done to the house.  Great feeling!  Looking forward to havng Nick redo our kitchen in a few years.

Thanks again to Nick and his team.

    Paint Perfect
Will was very responsive to my request for an estimate.  He provided a quote based on if they needed to do one or two coats.  His crew was on time every day and very polite.  They did a great job protecting the house and cleaning up.  There was a lot to repair and they did a great job on it.  I'm very pleased with the end result.  The only one negative was that it seemed a little challenging to nail them down to a date to start the work as I was having other work done too that couldn't happen until the paint was done.  But that was just a timing thing.  When they actually got in they moved very quickly and what I thought would be a four or five day job was done in three.  In the end they labeled all the left over paint and left the place as clean as they could.  I was very happy with the work.

    Dave Lane Building and Remodeling
Great work with very reasonable prices. Worked around our schedule. Dave and his helpers were non-intrusive and polite. Cleaned up daily when they were done.
The work was beautifully done and anything I asked to be corrected was done promptly.
Stayed in touch by e-mail and responded to me rapidly. Dave was always at the job site himself and overseeing his workers. The only thing he didn't do was the granite in the bathroom, which he sub contracted to the granite person he works with. Very satisfied with that also.
I would not hesitate to hire him again for any projects we have going forward.
