    Washer Wizzards
I called 2 other providers from Angie's list because I was hoping they could come same day. I had settled for waiting until the next day when Washer Wizzards actually called me and said they could be right out. Jeffrey was awesome! He fixed the washer and encouraged me to keep it rather than replace it. He had the part in his truck and the entire repair took about 20 minutes. He also explained exactly what the problem was. Pricing was very reasonable. He also waived the house call fee because what he had diagnosed as the issue over the phone turned out not to not be what the problem was. I could then resume washing the clothes I had put in that were drenched because the washer would not spin. I would highly recommend this service! Thank you!

    FAMILY APPLIANCE SERVICE LLC
I used Family Appliance for this repair because they had serviced my refrigerator about 6 months prior and I also had a good experience with them on that job. They are very professional, they return emails or phone calls very quickly, are knowledgeable and friendly. Price seemed fair on both repairs, as I did call for a few other quotes before selecting them. I would call them first the next time I have an appliance problem.

Great! They answered the phone, and came out right away. They explained the issues, discussed cost/benifit of repairing vs. replacing, cleaned up after themselves and were very professional/comfortable to deal with.
I would use them again and recommend to a friend.

Owner came to home within 48 hours of call, and diagnosed problem with cold control.  Three days later, returned to replace cold contol -- no charge for return visit.  Explained that Whirlpool requires their own cold control; could not use a generic one.
Three days later, same symptom.  Cold water spigot stopped working again.  Owner returned within 24 hours, used laser thermometer to show that refrigerator was still way too cold.  Told us the only possibility was that the cold control he had replaced was defective.  No visit charge.
Ordered new control, but went on back order from Whirlpool.  Took nearly a month for new cold control to come in, during which time no contact from Family Apppliance, in spite of our numerous calls.
Cold control finally came in and was replaced again free of charge.   Many apologies for communications failures.  Still working 10 days later.

They didn’t answer the phone very often when we first called them.  The reason I had to go through them was because they were the only local ones that repaired through the warranty on certain appliances.  So when I finally got them after many times of having to call, they got back to me.  I told them the difficulty I had and they said that they were on vacation.  But there was no message about that or anything like that.  It probably was just a small business.  They came out and they tried to fix it.  I think that they came three different times, maybe four and they tried to fix it.  We had them come because it was still under warranty.  My husband could fix it.  If he did that when it was under warranty, then it wouldn’t be considered under warranty any more.  We had to have these guys do it.  When I told my husband what they did, my husband questioned why they did that because he knew about that stuff.  They weren’t still fixing it and it wasn’t right.  It was a small beverage center and it had two sides.  The problem was that it didn’t cool the lowest portion.  Whenever they came, they kept saying that it was working, but it didn’t work.  I kept calling them because it was still not working.  Eventually they contacted the company of that machine and they reported to them that it was working fine.  The company won't pay Allen’s Appliance Repair to come out here anymore.  They said that there was nothing else they could do when I asked them why told them that.  I told them that it didn’t mean that it was working fine because they couldn’t fix it.  I told them to tell the truth.  I wouldn’t be using them again.  Not only did they not fix it, they made it very hard for me to even get it fixed.  They were stupid.  It was a very expensive machine and it is still not working properly.  They told us that it was not a refrigerator, when of course it was supposed to cool beverages.  I have heard after that incident that that particular brand isn’t good and so I wouldn’t be buying products from that manufacturer anymore.  The guys who came out here were brothers and they were brothers.

A+ Plus Appliance Service & Repair

I called A+ and they responded immediately. They called me with the times they would be in the vicinity and made an effort to accommodate my schedule. Greg (and his cousin) showed up on time and were professional and efficient-they told me accurately what was wrong (the motor propeller had cracked due to years of coins and sharp objects getting lodged in the mechanism.) They noticed, too, that the vent for the dryer was improperly attached (I had suspected there was a problem) and also not the safest material and replaced that, too. They weren't able to give me a price before taking the machine apart and seeing what the problem was, but the price seemed fair to me (which included both projects). My priority was getting it fixed as quickly and efficiently as possible which they absolutely did. As an aside, Greg and his assistants are just really nice guys. I've since hired A+ for other repairs, and will definitely use them again in the future.

Diagnosed problem for both appliances.  Repaired washer after telling me what it needed for repair before doing any of the work.  Told us the price for repair asclose as possible. Advised me what to do to avoid lint from collecting again.
