Laurie was knowledgeable and generous with her time. She checked out the house inside and out from the attic to the basement including the yard and driveway. She gave advice on what areas to focus on for repairs and upkeep. She also provided contacts for jobs outside of her scope. (Chimney work). She has years of experience and was very willing to share here knowledge. I would use her services again.

Work completed lass than a week after initial visit. The stairs were in worse shape than we originally thoug and had to be totally rebuilt. They now are safe and I am very p Leased with the work done.

The gentleman Mike (not The Owner) who came to do the work was very personable and did a decent job in a short period of time. However the cost for the amount of material (one batch/shingles), sealant, sheet of plywood and one heavy duty hinge) used and work time spent seems to be exceptionally high price. Mike the worker indicated that he was not a painter, and had planned on spraying the shed with the sealant. When that didn't work he needed to go out an purchase a paint brush to complete the job. Still not convinced that he was able to get down onto the one side of the shed that sits nearly flush with a stone wall going about half way up that side of the shed. Mike the worker also told me that all I would need to do was to get a Quart of sealant to reseal the shed every 2 years. I was quoted 2 gallons of sealant would be needed and don't believe that anywhere near 2 gallons was used. I had also requested handles be added to the shed; that also was not done.  Also question what happened to the remainder of the shingles not used/plywood not used/ sealant not used since we did pay for them.

10/26: Received a call from Mike Yeoman Owner who stated he will bring the added gallon of sealant and the remainder of the shingles to me so I am adjusting my assessment to reflect this accommodation. He also did put on handles to doors to shed as well as indicating he would have his painter come back and repaint sealant to be sure it is done right. Greatly Appreciate his return and completion of my job to my satisfaction. Have adjusted my numerical rating as well.

You would be crazy not to consider this company.  ALL crew (4 plus foreman Marty) were extremely personable, NEAT, and detail-oriented. The crew has been with the company for at least a decade. Work was impeccable, no areas were neglected. On the last day, while waiting for the deck to dry for the final coat, the guys were going over all previous work looking for any areas to touch up.  Oh yeah, also, they listened to our favorite radio station while they worked.

It was a spur of the moment call for service with a provider I had no previous experience.
Snowfall from the day before was packed down in large patches, forming ice below and making it difficult to completely remove the snow, but I am satisfied with what was accomplished and have set up plowing service for when the snowfall is over 4".
The cost was reasonable and fair especially since he had been in my neighborhood an hour or so earlier and drove 20+-  minutes back for this job and in doing so, secured a new customer.

Replacing the 8' rotted railroad ties was a big job. The ties needing replacement were the bottom-most layer of railroad ties that are stacked on top of each other 4 tie high. This meant a lot of heavy lifting, cutting, and fitting to make it look the it had before the rot took place. I am very impressed with the work they did and am about to call them again to do some clapboard replacement for me.

Completely trustworthy alone in home, quality work, extremely clean worker; handles changes and add-ons graciously. Muli-capable. Varied elephant in one person! Price is very fair too! Shows up when he says he will! Good communication.

Ernie installs the de-icer and takes the de-icer out of the water. Each operation costs me $50. the de-icer works much better than when I install it, and Ernie saves me a trip from New Jersey when he does it.
Ernie judges the time to install and take the de-icer out of the water by the weather.

We recently purchased an older house (1968 vintage) near the coast in Falmouth MA that needed lots of work. The work went exceptionally well with Ginn Construction. Tom Ginn, the owner,  was punctual, polite, and professional. He understood clearly the problems with my older house that I had just pruchased, provided the most reasonable quotes for all of the work, and not just part of the work need as other contractors did.  He verified the window measurement before the order was placed.  When they arrived, he rapidly replaced all the 25 double hung windows in the house with new trim boards on the inside and outside, new sills,  and insulation. all within a few days.  He removed all materials (old windows, doors, and trim boards), and cleaned the inside and outside of the house before completion. He did significant repair work on the outside trim and attic ventilation.  He also coordinated his work with the painter and arranged the painting subcontractor after he finished the carpentry trim work for me,  as part of the work and contract - basically one stop shopping.  He demonstrated to me significant expertise with the wide range of work that I asked him to complete around the house. He explained to me growing up in Falmouth he worked with his dad before his retirement and learned general carpentry and how to replace windows and doors. He then spent time framing houses before starting his own company. He is a licensed contractor.  Needless to say my new windows and house now look great thanks to Tom.
My mother lives nearby and I also arranged  it for Tom to do some work on her house built in 1970.  He replaced cedar siding on the wind-exposed  side of her house, replaced most of the rotting downstairs windows with Anderson 400 Series windows, found some problem areas inside the window frames, and quickly cleaned them up. My mother is 86 and she said Tom and his workers were very respectful and professional with her; she felt comfortable with the workers in her house and they did the work quickly and expertly. Her house now looks great as well.
I shopped around for a contractor in  Falmouth and was surprised at the huge range for prices obtained for the window replacements,  as well as painting.  I also found these other contractors were mostly one dimensional and could not take care of the range of problems I had and would not touch the small problems. The big boys like Home Depot or other national chains were much higher priced and provided an inferior product...also just did the windows.  I went to Falmouth Lumber, had a good experience there,  purchased the windows, doors and trim boards myself (no added charges by the contractor), and Tom Ginn  took care of the rest. He arranged delivery from Falmouth Lumber.  He worked well with their salesman and has a strong relationship with Falmouth Lumber. He came highly recommended by them.  Importantly to me, there were no added costs as the work proceeded; Tom stuck to his quote on each item and on one item he even reduced his quote because the work he thought might be needed was not. I found that refreshing, a contractor who was very honest and charged a fair price for the work he completed.
I would recommend Ginn Construction and Tom to anyone doing window or door replacements and other carpentry repairs.   Tom and his workers will do the work well.  Tom does most of the work himself and has a great deal of expertise and pride in his work.

After some scheduling problems...fits and starts...the bay window looks FANTASTIC!! The stain on the inside was beautifully blended to match the rest of the woodwork. Amazing! My friend is sooooo totally pleased with the work! Took a while to get done but very much worth the wait! Thank you, Mike!!!!!
