The young man was very respectful and pleasant. He came right in and looked at the two lights and gave us an estimate. We asked about other problems we have but they will have to wait. He got the stock came back in and did the work very quickly.

    Matthew Burt Electrical
Matt came to us with great ideas and incite on the perfect placement of recessed lighting needed to light our living room. He thought of so many details we wouldnt have thought of, like how the lighting would reflect off of the mounted TV or where we put our Christmas tree during the holidays in relation to where the lights would be installed. It was those professional factors that Matt brought with him that made his work that much more impressive. Besides these points, Matts actual work was exceptional. He was on time, worked quickly for doing the job alone and completely transformed our room to look even better than we could have imagined. Lastly, he informed us of some further work our home will need in the future , that we had no idea about & was not informed of during our inspection a year ago, to prevent some potential issues with our electricity wecould have in the future. It was this & all the professionalism he brought with him that made the experience go with such ease. I highly recommend Matt for any electrical work you might ever need.

LIGHT' N LEISURE (The Purple Buildings)
We have purchased many lighting products and ceiling fans from this establishment. Generally speaking I like their products and the sales people have all been very nice, until today . Everything weve purchased from them has been fine except for an expensive ceiling fan which we bought a number of months ago and while I admit it is out of warranty it was never installed because we were doing construction until the spring. Therefore we did not know until the summer came and we finally turned it on that this fan does not work properly. If it had been installed when we first purchased it we would have known right away and brought it back right away. As it is we found out rather late after purchasing it that this fan doesnt work. It change speeds by itself or it doesnt go on at all. When we called light and leisure they sent us to their customer service person who was absolutely no help at all and told me he was not the person to talk to and that somebody else would call me back. No one else ever called me back. Then he claimed that he emailed warranty information to my husband. We have checked email constantly and our spam account and nothing was ever emailed to us. They refused to call us back and sent us to the manufacturer. We called the manufacturer to help us troubleshoot it and they were unable to help us. They told us to call their electrician who services the fans. We did call him and he never returned our phone calls. I became very frustrated and called the store several times and they told me they could do nothing for me. So today my husband and I drove over there to talk to them in a reasonable manner to see if they could help us. The formally pleasant sales person was incredibly rude, told us that he could do nothing for us and that if we came in there thinking he could help us we were mistaken. He actually said, I dont make the product Im just a sales person. I work in retail and I dont make the products I sell it but my boss and I stand behind our products. I told him that I would never ever treat a customer this way nor would my boss. if our product has something wrong with it we will take it back and deal with the manufacturer. Then he proceeded to walk away from us, he practically fell over himself trying to escape into the back room. I have asked them on several occasions if I could speak to a manager or the owner and they told me that they are unavailable all of the time. I asked a woman on the phone the other day who was very nice to me and understood my frustration how she feels that the managers she works for probably make a lot more money than she does but refuse to interact with any customers were having a problem. Her polite agreement seem to indicate that she felt the same way and I doubt this is the first time this is happened. Im not sure what the managers do because they certainly have no interaction with customers whatsoever and leave the sales people to uphold their horrible customer service policies. I am a very reasonable person, I was very polite and I was going to offer that perhaps we could return the fan and purchase another fan and pay the difference in money even if it was more expensive. But we were not given a chance to do that. He told us to go away and to expect nothing from them. So now we have been left on our own to try and deal once again with the Casablanca fan company who may or may not be able to help us. If they cannot I can either live with a $450 work of art on our ceiling that is not a fan because it doesnt operate or I can pay our electrician all over again to take it down, buy another ceiling fan and pay him to put it up again. I will never ever shop there again and I suggest that no one else does as well. Their lack of customer service was absolutely appaling.

Jeff Veglia Remodeling & Tile Contracting
I am truly delighted with the work performed, in all aspects, and can recommend Jeff and his outstanding crew without hesitation and with the highest enthusiasm! The work was finished on time and on budget. The outcome in each remodel was a beautifully finished room. The craftsmanship was superb with each type of work - tiling, plumbing, electric, stone and glass installation, painting - it is clear that attention was paid to detail at every step. In particular, the tile work by Jonny was really exceptional. I had not used Jeff's company before, but chose him over the other two contractors who provided estimates because his approach to the estimate clearly indicated extensive experience with such jobs. He was quite straightforward in stating what would be needed, what would be difficult but possible to do, and also what would not be worth doing. His estimate for cost and time to complete the work was similar to the other contractors, and his manner was very professional. He provided the names of the vendors he recommends up front, so that I could check them, and he was very responsive to my questions. Throughout the work period, Jeff was always available, always answering my phone call or text within the same day when I had a question or suggestion. This kind of responsiveness is so greatly appreciated, and I am sure is pretty rare. I did use the vendors Jeff suggested for the vanities, tile, marble, quartz, glass and plumbing fixtures; and was very happy with the selection, price range and services provided. Jeff picked up the products as needed during the renovation, and scheduled the installations as needed, so I only had to make the selections and he coordinated everything else. Jeff's team needs special, special mention - they did an amazing job with both the demolition and the reconstruction! They always arrived on time, got right down to work, and kept the affected areas of my home as clean as humanly possible during the whole process; these areas were cleaned after each day's work, and there was really minimal disruption overall. The team members were clearly serious and professional about their work. They listened carefully to my input and followed my wishes; and when I asked, they, as well as Jeff, offered great advice - for example, on a tile layout pattern. They took pride in their work and wanted to get it right every time, and they did get it right! Each worker was very friendly, collegial, respectful, and efficient. Jeff's scheduling was also surprisingly efficient. It can't be easy to have the plumber or electrician available on just the day they're needed, when the pace of work can't be precisely predicted, since unexpected issues can be expected to come up in any job like this. I was greatly impressed with the efficiency of the team as a whole. They seem to have been working together for a long time and were incredibly well integrated. So, there were few gaps in time, and the work was finished within the timeline estimated in the beginning. Some minor issues did arise, of course, but they were dealt with right away, and Jeff had the flexibility to rearrange things and still stay on target. Overall, this is a terrific, highly experienced, responsive contractor who has built an excellent team of professional craftsmen, is fairly priced, and provides great value.

I would not recommend this guy to even my worst enemy. He questioned every design aspect my husband and I chose and even went as far as making us lay out our tile because he didn't think our patterned tile would look good if there wasn't a border around it. He argued with me about putting white grout on the floor. And he got extremely defensive when my husband was asking why it we went so far over the timeframe it was supposed to be finished. Mind you, we are still waiting on our shower door. He demanded in a text message to me (see picture) we pay him the remainder of the payment or else he wouldn't fulfill his contractual obligations. He also told my husband he is going to take us to court and threatened to put a lien on our house when my husband said we would pay him the remainder once our bathroom is completed to the contract terms. The things that still needed to be completed per the contract when he threatened were the following: -Counter top installed and sink plumbed - Radiator hooked up -Mirror, towel bars and toilet paper holdler - Shower door; although he argues that the shower door is NOT part of the original contract, which is ludicrous The things that were not done per the contract AFTER he received final payment were: - Mirror, towel bars & toilet paper holder - Shower door (again, me arguing that the shower door is part of customer supplied items mentioned in the contract) We never refused to pay this guy, we always paid at the deadlines given per the contract. He just can't handle his customers, who pay a lot of money, asking him questions on why it's taking him so long. His tile work is sub par at best (see pictures). When I pointed that out to him his response was "Well, I waterproofed the shower." Again, another defense when his work was questioned. To add insult to injury, the subcontractors that did our plumbing are apparently not allowed to work on our other bathroom or accept any other job in our house. Be warned, this guy is a hot head with a temperament of a 3 year old.

I had not done business with them before and I had called them kind of in a rush. They were very responsive and even though I was a new customer, they took care of me very quickly and they did a good job.
