    district or jewelers building and found lbc Boutique to be the best. They were not pushy and the terms for the loan were reasonable. I I glanced at the diamond rings they were selling and realized if i ever get married again (doubt it). I will definately shop here for the diamond engagement ring .

  • I have a custom built ring that has a channel setting with 2 stones in it. Previously, I had broken one of the stones and had another jeweler (not Bostonian) repair it. I was unhappy with the repair job and unfortunately this summer, one of the stones broke again. This time I decided to do my research before having the ring repaired. I visited three jewelers who had all been well reviewed on Angie's List. Alexandria and Hagop of Bostonian Jewelers were the third company I met with. By the end of our initial meeting, I knew they were the ones I wanted to work with. There were several things that stood out about Bostonian at my initial meeting: 1) They asked a lot of questions - they didn't just focus on the specific service I needed, but they were interested in the background of the ring, how it had been damaged, what I was thinking as far as repairing it, what my price point was, etc. 2) We sat at a table the three of us and really talked - it wasn't a 3 minute chat over a counter - they gave me their full attention. 3) Their main priority was giving me options (within my parameters) and making me happy. At the end of our first meeting they asked me how I would like to receive the cost estimates of my options - I said I preferred email - they agreed to email me a breakdown of costs in a few days. True to their word, I received an email a few days later with a break down of what each component of the repair would cost and as I was choosing between 3 different stone types - a price for each stone. Additionally, they included an estimate for making me an additional ring (a solid band), which I has asked for. I asked a couple of additional questions over email, which they answered promptly. Then, based on the emails, I made my decisions, emailed them back giving them the go ahead to repair the setting, asking them to get a couple stones for me to choose from and asking them to make the solid band. I gave them a 40% deposit over the phone. About a week and a half later they contacted me to set up an appointment for me to come into their shop to choose a stone, and to look at the wax version of the 2nd ring they were building from scratch. In addition to getting a couple of stones for me to choose from, they had come up with an additional option - a different stone (at the same price point) for me to consider. I really appreciated their efforts to give me all my possible options. Additionally, at this visit, they let me know that the price point of the stone I was considering had gone down and that the final cost would be a couple hundred dollars less than the estimate. I selected my stone, checked out the wax of the second ring - which was exactly what I wanted and gave them the green light to fully repair and insert the stone into my initial ring and to make the second ring (and get it engraved). They estimated it would take about 2 weeks to get all the work done and they contacted me about 10 days later to tell me I could come in and pick both rings up. At that point I asked for them to do an appraisal of both rings, which Alexandria said she was happy to do for me. I went into to their shop a couple of days later and picked up my repaired ring with the new stone that looked amazing, my new engraved solid band which was exactly what wanted and the appraisals for both rings. I paid the balance which was a couple hundred less than the original estimate and that was that. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Alexandria and Hagop - in addition to doing high quality work, they treated me like a friend. I found them to be pleasant, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I would absolutely work with them again in the future and I would certainly recommend them.
