I purchased a pre-owned vehicle 2 1/2 weeks ago. When I was there to test drive it, it was dead and needed to be jumped. Assuming it had just been on the lot for a while didn't think much of it. Picked it up and drove it home, and wouldn't start less than an hour after shutting it off. We let the sales guy know, and said we'd keep him posted as something wasn't right. Hard starting each time, we replaced the battery on our own dime. Dash board kept going out, various warnings kept getting displayed. Last night after shutting it off to get my kids from school, the car was dead. Couldn't even jump it this time, so had it towed to a local Cadillac dealer. Contacted Diamond, and they said we'd have to tow it there, and we'd have to pay for the labor to fix it. They'd pick up the cost of the parts. A 2 week old car that has a seized motor starter is my issue? They were nice enough to comment that I had the battery replaced and couldn't be sure that wasn't the issue. So now I find myself paying a $1000 dollars out of my pocket to fix the car. After a heated conversation they agreed if we paid to tow it 60+ miles to them they would fix it on their dime so we wouldn't blast them on social media. No thank you sir. Never ever buy a used car from them. They do not stand behind their vehicles. Shady business at best.

they were available very quickly. there were some issues with the airtight seal on the windshield that got worse over a few months- we brought the car back and they were helpful in fixing the windshield. we were a little disappointed at first but once they fixed the issues at no additional cost we have been happy with their work.

    Jaguar of Peabody
I have owned a Jaguar X Type 3.0 L 2003 for the past decade and absolutely love the car. Recently however, Woburn Jaguar moved to LandRover in Peabody in Spring 2014. For MONTHS I've been calling to try & get a hood bracket fixed on my car. This is the only problem I've ever had with the vehicle. My rep. Nancy originally told me to give them a while to move, parts was not yet accepting orders. I called yesterday figuring 5 months was more than enough time for a business to move and get up and running. Nope. In fact I had an argument with Nancy. She was offering to sell me the part but refused to have Jag install the part. I don't know the reason for the move from Woburn to Peabody but it was not a good one. They have attitude problems, are uncooperative and I found it really strange Nancy kept insisting I have it installed at another place. I am through with Jaguar, they were fantastic until this move but with their attitudes now and the fact it has taken MONTHS upon MONTHS for this move to happen and they are STILL not prepared, they've lost me and I cannot ever recommend this place again. It's sad, I really, really loved my Jag, has been trouble free for the time I've owned it but it is obvious that Peabody Jaguar doesn't want my business. That's ok with me, I will sell my Jag and give my business to BMW. I would never buy from them again. Steer clear of Jaguar  in Peabody. Something is obviously funny with them if this is how they now treat a loyal 10+ year customer.
Up until this point I would have given them 5 stars. Since the fiasco of their move, I would give no stars but that's not an option here.

While driving my 2003 Honda CRV in the summer of 2013 with the air conditioner on, I heard a grinding noise from under the hood.  The air conditioner then stopped working.  I did an internet search and found that Honda had a problem with the AC compressors failing which caused extensive damage to the whole AC system.  The cost for repair at a Honda dealer was over $3,000.00 and the average cost for a repair was $2,600.00.  New Meadows was listed on Angie's List so I gave them a call.  They were very familiar with the problem and repaired my AC for $1,350, honoring my 10% off Angie's List coupon.  The AC has been running perfectly for over a year now.  A real bargain with professional an courteous service.
This July I had many preventative maintenance items I wanted done so I again enlisted the services of New Meadows.  I had the drive belt replaced, the cooling system flushed and new coolant added,  the automatic transmission flushed and new fluid added,  and an overall check of the vehicle.  Once again New Meadows did not disappoint,  the cost was excellent and the technician explained in detail what he had done and what I may consider doing in the future.
I would highly recommend New Meadows for anyone considering automotive maintenance.  The staff that I met, Scott, Dan and Chris are all professionals at the top of their game.

The 2003 Honda CRV is notorious for having the air conditioner compressor fail at around 70,000 miles.  Mine actually blew apart putting a hole in compressor case.  I read online that the whole air conditioning system is compromised because small metal pieces of the compressor contaminate the entire system.  Recommended by Angie's List I contacted New Meadows Auto Repair who were familiar with this issue and had repaired many CRV's with this problem.  Online there were many different price quotes for repairing the air conditioning system.   I believe the average cost was over $2000.00.  The Honda dealer cost was closer to $3,000.00.  With the Angie's list discount I was able to get the repair done for just over $1300.00, a real bargain compared to what I had seen online.  The mechanic was very professional and explained in detail what they had done to repair the AC.  The shop was spotless and the service was excellent.  A year later the AC is working fine.  In the future I will be bringing my cars to New Meadows Auto Repair for all service work.  Thank You Angie's List and New Meadows Auto repair.

They actually cut out the bad part of the muffler and replaced it instead of replacing the whole muffler. I purchased a 1995 Buick from there. Before I purchased the car, they replaced the tires, and all the rubber things inside. They made it look like a brand new car. They are good people who stand behind what they do. They are very honest.

    Direct Tire & Auto Service
I go there all the time.  I take both of my cares there.  They are much less expensive than the dealer for your scheduled maintenance. The dealer charges you just when they inspect things and the time included just in inspecting.  Direct Tire only charges you when they do the maintenance or what they fix.  The dealer wanted $650 and I ended up paying $180 there is a big difference.  They inspect everything according to the print out on what is expected for your car and it keeps your warranty validated, if they just inspect something and it's okay, they don't charge you for it where the dealer they charge you for every minute they are expecting the the things you want them to inspect and that builds the bill way up on your scheduled maintenance so they are a lot cheaper.

We always had things fixed. We have like four cars in the family. The customer car is excellent. He's got a lot of repeat business. He's got repeat business because when you bring the car in he checks the whole care out, he gets the thing fixed, he fixes what needs to be fixed he doesn't necessarily gouge you on doing stuff that doesn't need to be done which some places tend to do. He spends a lot of time talking to you explaining what was going on making suggestions. It's a small independent garage but it's not small. He's got like four or five bays in there, he's pretty busy but he makes time for you too. You can tell too, when you are in the shop, while you are there waiting, you are talking to him and the phone is ringing, people are calling him up. All on a first name basis, they call up and say hi, so and so, he knows who everyone is. He goes with the dealers. You can tell he's got a good report with his customers. The only thing I can say is I am still a relatively new customer but I started going there on the strength of what a number of other people who I work with have been saying about him. He just comes very highly recommended. If you've got a problem you are able to get an appointment. The work he has done he says will be done, his price seems pretty good, he seems to, he checks the whole car out but he doesn't suggest a lot of stuff that doesn't need to be done. I think it's a family, sometimes you walk into a garage and there is calendars with woman on the walls, if I was a woman I would find that kind of threatening. Where as with him he's got a son and he's got a daughter working there so there is none of that stuff. So I think when you walk in it's not an intimidating situation for women, I think he takes the time to explain things to people that aren't mechanics so when my daughter has gone in there with her car she's been happy with the explanations that she has gotten. He doesn't just ya, ya, ya, ya. He breaks it down for them. I think that's kind of important as far as service goes. What happened was we had one car that had a problem, we were bringing the car to a mechanic who we kept having to bring it back. He wasn't charging a lot of money, but it wasn't getting fixed. Then we brought the car to him and right away he said this is what the problem is and the experience was very positive. Within a couple of weeks we had three of the family cars over there all getting the same good service, the same things getting done right. We have been very happy since then. It's been in the area for a while, the business. It's pretty well known and as I said he came, the reason we started going there was because we had such really strong recommendations from people I work with. One of them lives in New Hampshire, she still has her car fixed here. She comes from Massachusetts but instead of going to a local shop she still takes it here. It's a variety of different people that have recommended this shop.

I can't say enough good things about K&C's Auto Body. I have to say Paulo and the staff are GREAT! I just had my car fixed the other day and it turned out perfect! They deal with my insurance company and as a woman I don't understand any thing about auto body repair, Paulo explained in detail the work needed and gave me an accurate estimate of how long it would take. I just picked up the car and I can honestly say it looks better now that when it was first purchased. Not only is the bodywork done beautifully, Paulo had it detailed inside and out. It seriously looks brand new. I highly recommend K&C's Auto Body.

My Outback's Tire Pressure Monitoring System dashboard light had come on and the manual recommended calling the dealer. I called and the service center scheduled me for the next day. Upon arrival, they checked us in and showed us to a fairly nice waiting room. After a little over an hour, they called me in and told me that one of the pressure sensors were gone and they'd replaced it under warranty.

The staff was friendly even though they were clearly busy, and the waiting room was spacious and had a nice TV, beverages, and some great kids toys. The wait was reasonable, and they kept me updated. The service was on warranty parts, so I didn't deal with the payment folks at all. My car was left neat and clean, and I haven't had any problems since!
