    Straight Shooters General Contracting LLC
A neighbor of ours used the Straight Shooters on a master bath remodel and we were really impressed, so we decided to give them a call. The project went as smooth as we could ask for, from the estimate phase to the final sign off by the building inspector. They are very easy to work with, Sean and his crew were able to answer all of our questions, and had very creative ideas on use of tiles, colors, and cabinet accessories. The crew was very neat and clean, and that included the electrical, hvac, and plumbing subcontractors as well. In the past we haven't had the best luck with contractors or for that matter subcontractors who cared about cleaning up after themselves, i.e. leaving cigarette butts all over the lawn, not vacuuming a work space, and so on. We recommend the Straight Shooters, and look forward to working with them in the future.

    Netto's Painting & Carpentry
Netto was very responsive and honest, and the work that his team did was very high quality. As noted above, we ended up hiring him three times, for three different projects. We found his pricing to be very fair. Even though his company is called "Netto's Painting" customers should understand that he has a team that is highly capable with siding, carpentry, painting, and roofing (among other things). One other endorsement: Netto is a very hard-working guy himself and was willing to meet us late at night to review the work, sign contract, etc. to accommodate our work schedules.

Contractor's quality and attention to detail ensured our house looked terrific when finished. I especially appreciated the walk through at the end of the project to make sure we were happy with the outcome.

Three Sons Window & Door Inc
In a word, excellent. We are first time home buyers and bought a fixer-upper in Concord MA. We had lots of projects that had to all be timed correctly using many different contractors. Paul (owner) sat us down and went through everything we needed to do and instead of pressure us to GC the whole thing himself, he said he'd walk us through it and help. The result was a project that came in on time and on budget. Paul and his sons were very responsive to all our requests and even made suggestions for helping in other areas without letting costs go out of control. My wife and I felt particularly good with how other tradesmen commented on Three Son's work. We had 4 separate tradesmen comment on how well the work was done and the quality of the materials being used. We have hopes of putting an addition on our house one day, and Paul will be our first call. It was very clear from our experience that he works to build life-long relationships for repeat business. Highly recommended!

Dennis is awesome. We love Dennis. I think he is honest and follows through. He did a good job. I took them a little long and the work wasn't the speediest, but in the end the work was good. I will probably use them again in the future because the deck needs to be redone.

    Arone Exteriors
Owner Joe was very responsive in coming to give an estimate. I asked that the job be done by the end of July, and he made sure to do that. The entire job only took 2 days. THe rubber roof had a wooden deck on it and a railing, and they removed them to do the roof and put it all back with no problem. They did a great job and cleaned up well afterward. The crew was primarily Spanish speaking, which I don't speak, but Joe stopped by a couple of times each day to check on things, so all went smoothly. I would definitely hire him again.

    Neary Construction
We got off to a rough start because I'm not sure what Mr. Neary knew what he was getting into by listing an Angie's List Big Deal.
Eventually, we worked through that. Bill came out and did an estimate, and then came out, when scheduled, to do the work, plus some additional work that we had identified in the meantime.
The work involved replacing some exterior siding and trim that were rotting out, as well as a very rotten exterior window sill (my apologies if I am butchering terminology). Bill's work on these items was completed efficiently, and the quality appears to be very high.
So, despite our rocky start, we're quite pleased with Bill's work.

    JP WORKS
Overall, the project went very well. Jonathan was patient during the design phase. He hired subcontractors who, in my opinion, did top quality work (I've seen bad and mediocre work). Subcontracting included demo and excavation, foundation work and other masonry, framing (best framers, ever), roofing, plumbing and heating, electrical, interior finishing (blueboard + plaster walls and ceilings), interior and exterior painting and custom wood floor installation (salvaged pumpkin pine).
Jonathan himself participated in the demolition by cutting the old garage free of the main house. He leveled a section of subfloor in the main house by cutting the joists free of the main support beams and re-fastening everything (the floor was very off kilter). He installed windows and doors, laid the tile in the laundry, bath and mudroom, built decks and steps for the garage and exterior entries, and installed all of the finish carpentry (trim, molding, etc).
All of the work was first rate. Jonathan is a talented carpenter, the tile floors are flawless, and the new structure blends perfectly with the main house. Husband and wife home owners survived as well. To be fair, the project ran over in time and cost but those were due primarily to the surprises we found when opening up the walls and roof of this 1870's house.

Robert L Green Inc Roofing & Contracting
We have a roof with a number of dormers, several different levels and a turret; there were many edges and valleys to deal with. They did a great job and the house looks fantastic. I had several companies come out to give estimates. Some didn't show up, some did but never sent estimates. Of the several estimates I received Robert Green s company gave us an estimate that was on the high side, but was certainly not the highest. However I had a lot more confidence in their experience with wooden roofs than I did with the lower priced companies. The bulk of the work was done in the late winter. They worked section by section so there was never a large section of roof exposed to the weather or only protected by a tarp. They cleared sections of roof of both snow and old shingles and immediately got the ice and water shield over the section just in case they suddenly had to stop due to rain or snow. Any section that wasn't shingled by the end of the day was covered with a tarp. We had no problems with leaking and we did have several days of very nasty weather during the job. In addition to installing the ice and water shield on the roof deck they pulled the siding off the dormers and from a wall between two flat areas and ran the shield up those areas. They then replaced and repainted the siding. I feel much more confident that we wont have any leaks along the dormers now. The team was very good about keeping the driveway clear of nails and double checking it with a magnetized broom each time I needed to get my car in or out. They also went over the entire yard many times. I found a few bits of roofing material and a few nails, but only a few. I was very pleased with the cleanup. They did accidentally break one of our outdoor lights but Robert sent someone who replaced it and it is as good as new now. The only other issue I had, and this is partially my fault, was the delay in repainting the siding that was removed and replaced. I asked them not to paint it when the job was done because it was below freezing and I didn't think it would be a good idea to paint when it was that cold. Once it got warm we had lots and lots of rainy days and it did take some time before Robert could get someone to come and finish. But he didn't forget us and finally got someone out to finish. He also sent people back twice as the snow melted to make sure the debris and nails were all cleaned up. We are very pleased with the new roof and the skylights. The quality of work was very high.

R BROOKS DELEADING & RENOVATION INC
He agreed to finish the project in 6 weeks (beginning Sept. 5th). However, it turned into 10 weeks. Also, I was disappointed because he did not organize jobs properly. The damage on floor joint and sill plate should be fixed in the beginning because heavy traffic on damage area affected house down to the center. However he did not fix the damage until 9th week. It was also very stressful because he did not work neither communicate during 2nd and 3rd week and then suddenly asked me bathroom tiles and kitchen tiles on 4th week. I did special order, which took 2 weeks. And, He blamed me for the delay. I believe that he could work on vinyl siding on 2nd or 3rd week. There were lots of jobs he could work. Unfortunately, he just did NOT work my jobs on 2nd and 3rd week. It was whole house renovation. He did not have experience to handle my project. So, I had to go through really hard time.
