    Global Home Improvement
Our roof got old and covered with moss so we decided to have it replaced. I started quoting in mid-February, I asked from 6 companies for quotes. Global Roofing stood out pretty easily. Freddy and Rich came and they impressed me in pretty much all aspects, but the most of which is they are very honest and they know how to work with roofs. So, I chose them without much hesitation at all and convinced they would do a good job. The process leading to the installation day was very smooth, had to delay for a week because of the weather, Andrea did a fantastic job in communication. Materials delivered the night before, the crew came on time, they did a fantastic job peeling off the old shingles, installing the new shingles, replacing the gutter, and the cleanup, the entire crew are professional, efficient, courteous and they work as a team. All in all, I had a great experience, will use them again, and will recommend to my neighbors and friends.

    Alo Seamless Gutters
Appointments were kept as scheduled; estimates given; work was scheduled; found that fascia needed replacement after the gutters were removed. ALO arranged for another company to replace the rotten fascia. Then the gutters were replaced in a timely fashion. All of the workers were pleasant, polite and fast. The yard was cleaned up thoroughly with no trace of the company having been there, except for the brand new gutters.

    Netto's Painting & Carpentry
Netto was very responsive and honest, and the work that his team did was very high quality. As noted above, we ended up hiring him three times, for three different projects. We found his pricing to be very fair. Even though his company is called "Netto's Painting" customers should understand that he has a team that is highly capable with siding, carpentry, painting, and roofing (among other things). One other endorsement: Netto is a very hard-working guy himself and was willing to meet us late at night to review the work, sign contract, etc. to accommodate our work schedules.

    GF Sprague & Company, Inc.
G.F. Sprague is a very professional company from start to finish, we as homeowners are very happy with the results. Our first contact was with the office secretary Linda Noble who was knowledgeable and friendly. Mark Vaccaro, their affable sales representative, then came to our home and proposed a range of optional plans that catered to our needs. The next step was for the company manager Bob Scribner to come to our home, survey the job for materials and set-up a schedule coordinating shingling and copper-work. As company manager he guaranteed quality workmanship including warranty and certainly delivered. The G.F. Sprague crew was always on-time and courteous. The custom copper-workers headed up by Jamie O'Neill and Dan Kelly performed superb coppersmithing. Not only is the copper-work functionally water tight it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Whenever it came to questions or suggestions about the work, the workers were very accommodating. Furthermore, after each work day the crew always made sure the premises were cleaned-up. Absolutely super job, I highly recommend this company! Satisfied customer, Joseph Grassia

    GF Sprague & Company, Inc.
Bob Scribner was very professional and courteous. I ended up cancelling the job, and he was very fair with his cancellation policy. GF Sprague is a large, highly professional, "Class 1" roofing company, and my job was really tiny. When I decided to go with a handyman, Bob was totally understanding. When I have my roof replaced in a few years, I will certainly be calling on Sprague.

    Power Home Remodeling
The team of people who worked on our project (Derek, Puki, Peter, Jorge, Erick, and Keith) made us feel important and valued customers.  Each one spent a lot of time to ensure that we were satisfied from beginning to end.  Yes, we could have gotten a new roof and gutters for half the cost elsewhere, but we believe that we bought a product that will last half a century.  We also believe that HPRG genuinely wants to transform the industry for the better and our experience with the team for this project was quite positive.  We plan on re-engaging the company for windows and door projects.

    To whom it may concern:
Very happy that I did not sign and contract with these people and/or pay them any deposit. Their behaviors are moody and unpredictable and prices change based on the mood of the owner. Skip does not honor his quotes, how much worse can it get???
I got a written quote from Skip for $9843 to replace a complete roof or $6845 for a roofover. The next highest bid (from another contractor) was $10,400. Skip's price was a little lower than that, so I was happy at first. In addition to the new roof, Skip suggested a bunch of add-ons (gutters, trim etc.) that we did not need right away and/or could get from other vendors. My overall opinion after getting quotes for gutters from two reputable contractors in the area was that the gutters in his quote were overpriced so I decided to have Skip do the roof and have a reputable gutter firm do the gutters. It took us some time to decide whether we want a new roof or a roof over. Initially we were leaning towards a roofover because it's less expensive. Subsequently after talking to a solar company, we decided a new roof is needed if we want to do solar panels.
When I contacted Skip to schedule the work, Skip suggested that I put a deposit down for $8000. When I said that the total cost is only $9800, he said the project costs $16,000, and always was??? I forwarded him his quote, and he was rude to me over email after I said I just want the roof done based on the original quote $9843. He had no intention to honor the quote clearly. And also he said I don't know how to read. I am well educated (have Masters' and a CPA), so not only this man questioned my reading abilities and my math, but most importantly wasted a bunch of my time. I got an impression he got really mad because I priced out the add on services and found out he was going to overcharge me on those. I think his plan was to cut off the competition by bidding the absolute low price on the roof itself, and, after I tell the other bidders I am going with someone else, push on the add ons and make his money. But who knows what's in his head really.
Have the quote and a chain of emails with Skip , in case anyone wants to see it. Here is an excerpt from the quote:
    $9,843.00 complete project above
(referring to stripping the roof and putting all new lifetime shingles)
    GO-OVER NO-STRIPPING $6,845.00
And this is what he said in his email:
"The quotes are clear? since the beginning? it?s your interpretation of them that is incorrect. Good bye."
How can you interpret a quote that very clearly says it's $9,843 for a full new roof?
A rude unprofessional man, do not recommend. If he said "hey, it's been a couple of months since we provided the quote, the shingles price went up, etc." or came up with some other plausible excuse (labor union jacked their rates???), but he plainly just refuses to honor the quote.
Also said he doesn't want to do business with me after I found the gutter company to do the gutters. The morale of this story is T ake your business elsewhere to avoid surprises. Don't let Skip find out that you are talking to other providers (he clearly doesn't like that). Skip certainly unlike other roofers has great marketing and online presence (linkedin and such), but don't marketing that mislead you, go with someone who doesn't send flashy emails with all font sorts of colors and Caps&bold font in them and doesn't post videos of their work online, but someone who honors his quotes and is reliable.

    Skillville Corp
Excellent, professional knowledge and service.  Noticed that some screws that held the gutter flashing to the roof, had come out.  Replaced those ones, re-hung a fallen gutter, seal coated all the gutters (which can only be done on a clear day).  Tested the water resistance before he left.  His attention to detail removed slow leak problems I've had for a couple of years, but no one else had diagnosed what was wrong.  Replacing the screws made all the difference.  I would use Skillsville again and recommend them.

    Majesty Roofing Company
I purchased provider's Angie's List deal for $200 of gutter repair or replacement for $149. The deal description states:
"$149 for $200 of gutter repair or replacement services... $200 worth of gutter services will typically cover ... 10 linear feet of new 6-inch gutter installation ..."
The roofer showed up right on time morning of 21 November. A for promptness. (Sorry I forgot his name.)
I showed the roofer a section gutter to replace. He stated that he would have to replace a larger section, which was reasonable. He quoted me a price of$600 per ten feet, which is three times higher than the rate posted in his ad. This is not a trivial difference.
Since the rate Majesty asked for was nowhere near the advertised price, I asked for a refund. The roofer admitted that the ad is unclear, but he refused to refund my money. I requested refund through Angie's List.
Strongly recommend you do not but Angie's List deal from this provider. Also recommend you double check pricing with this provider.
Didn't give an F because he showed up on time.
