Drain Cleaning reviews in Concord

  • Matt Hurly came out and was able to access the blocked drain pipe from the basement. He managed to clear the blockage, and the tub in now draining well. Thank you for the care taken to move items that might have gotten wet/dirty and for putting everything back. I really appreciated that attention to detail!

  • Just as we were leaving for Christmas with family, our kitchen drain backed up with thick black crud.  We returned Monday and  our plumber was booked for a week & recommended  All Drain Service.  After checking them out on Angie's List, we called and got an appointment for the next day.  They called to alert us 30 minutes before their serviceman's arrival.  Chello arrived, surveyed the situation and solved the problem within 30 minutes.Chello was prompt. professional and very courteous.  I mentioned I'd write a review for Angies List and we received a 15% discount.  My husband & I highly recommend All Drain Service, Inc.

  • When I called, Robert was punctual and came within about half an hour.  He unclogged the drain and repaired the plumbing beneath the sink in about 75 minutes.  Fast, responsive, and punctual - we will definitely be calling him again if the need arises.

  • Plumber arrived on time. Carefully explained what he was going to do, and afterwards explained what he had found. Both drains now work very well. He also gave me advice on how to avoid future problems. Overall very pleasant experience.

  • Provided quote in advance and kept to price.  Came the next day, which was a Saturday and here was no weekend surcharge.
Arrived 10 minutes early.  I wasn't ready.  I run a pretty tight schedule, so it was actually awkward to have him early, but that may be good feature for some people.  Better than late for sure.
    Was very friendly and professional.
Was careful to explain risks with clearing a very old, clogged drain.  However, no issues arose.

  • The nice field tech tixed our slow-draining bathroom sink after our many unsuccessful attempts at snaking and drano-ing. He also happened to swoop in and save the day while my husband was tinkering with an unrelated plumbing issue that went awry while the guy was working on the sink. Talk about lucky timing! John's Plumbing arrived on schedule same-day, the service was professional & competitively priced - will call again! (But I hope I don't need to)

  • Since this problem had never occurred before, I looked at service providers on Angie's list and selected Rhino Rooter based on many great reviews. I called Dave Saturday afternoon, and although Dave had other jobs lined up, mentioned that he could probably get to our house later in the evening. When I asked him for an approximate time, he said possibly 7 PM. Amazingly, that is when he showed up! Dave looked at drains on first floor, drain pipes in basement, including where they led to septic. He decided on using a heavy piece of equipment that did the job and left the bathroom in good shape afterward. Dave was very polite and personable during the entire experience and I highly recommend his services.

  • It was okay. Because that they were quite expensive, we didn't end up using them for other plumbing needs. The bio-product has not been successful in unclogging our drains either. The person who came was very pleasant. We had a good experience there. It's just the cost of what they proposing to do didn't blend up with what my expectation was. It was more significant than the big deal purchase. They probably can provide good service but they're on the pricey side. One person came out.

  • Overall they were responsive and did good work. I think the cost was high. I got the deal on Angies List and even with that savings, I feel the costs were high and I could have gotten a much better deal if I shopped around. I will be more careful looking at companies with A ratings on Angies list and be very skeptical of any "deals".

  • Called Papalia Plumbing on Monday night (5/28/12) after hubby had tried to install a new faucet and hot/cold H20 controls, and found the hot H20 shutoff valve broken. I asked for a morning call to set up an appt on Tuesday (5/29/12). We put a big bucket under the leaky valve for the night (and prayed...). The Papalia dispatcher called at 8 am and we set up service call for between 11 am - 3 pm. Plumber named Adam showed up at 1 pm and assessed the situation. He prepared a written estimate for the work including replacing the hot H20 valve shutoff which required soldering, and installing the new faucet and controls. He said that it would take about two hours to complete the work, and that's about the time the work took to complete. He waited for me to finish with using any H20, and advised when he needed to turn off the house H20 supply to do the work. He was professional, helpful, and courteous. He brought his own drop cloths and rags, and left the bathroom in better condition than when he arrived.
I also asked if he could tighten floor bolts on a wobbly toilet in another bathroom and he did it quickly and without any extra charges. I also asked about getting estimates for other plumbing work needed including replacing our now 20 year old toilets, and a kitchen sink faucet that is now corroded. He gave me more written estimates on everything I asked for. Since we live in an old house that has had a variety of plumbing problems, I renewed my annual "Gold membership" which is $98/yr for a residence. That reduced my bill by about 8% on parts and labor for the current repair. I also used a coupon in the local "action" flyer and saved another $50. So what would have been nearly an $800 bill, was reduced to just $665. Though Papalia Plumbing prices are on the higher end compared to other plumbers in the area, as they use the plumbing/heating book by the job estimator, their professionalism and courtesy outweighs the price concerns. I have recommended them to neighbors already.
