Basement Waterproofing reviews in Concord

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Excellent work, one year later it works great. I waited a year to get through a full wet season to see how it would perform and result is perfect. The guys were thorough, professional, and did several extra things at no extra cost. Only minor complaint is the pump spy monitoring system, seems to report “phantom” pumpings and WiFi through basement walls is troublesome.

  • Excellent, professional knowledge and service.  Noticed that some screws that held the gutter flashing to the roof, had come out.  Replaced those ones, re-hung a fallen gutter, seal coated all the gutters (which can only be done on a clear day).  Tested the water resistance before he left.  His attention to detail removed slow leak problems I've had for a couple of years, but no one else had diagnosed what was wrong.  Replacing the screws made all the difference.  I would use Skillsville again and recommend them.

  • They came a few days early. They were actually in my basement jackhammering a lot of concrete. I was expecting a lot of dust but they were super clean afterwards. They were superb. I was very pleased overall. And they added some innovated apporaches to what I requested. This added to the quality of the job.

  • Jason's team was fast, efficient, and as clean as you can possibly be when you're hauling tons of stone out of a basement.  We were amazed at how quickly they installed the drains and pumps.  Basement has been better than ever since installing the drains.  Great investment.  We highly recommend the Drycrete team.

  • Mike replied promptly to my inquiry for an estimate. I contacted two other companies and Drycrete provided the most professional and detailed plan of "attack" to eliminate the water in our basement.  Due to heavy rains in the previous weeks, Drycrete was booked solid for three weeks but we agreed on a date and a price three weeks hence. Jason, Mike and the crew showed up at my house exactly as promised. Jason and I discussed a few details of placement and how long the work might take. He estimated about two days that was the same as the estimate Mike had stated three weeks prior. Jason patiently answered all of my questions and allayed all of my concerns.
Within 30 minutes, Drycrete's crew got to work.  As I left for work, Jason promised me he would call that afternoon or evening so he could go over the work they'd done that day and lay out what still needed to be taken care of the next day. Jason called me around 3pm on the first day and told me they had completed about 85%-90% of the work and would only need about 2-3 hours on the second day.
On the morning of the second day, Jason again went over the details of the work they'd already completed and what still needed to be done. Jason showed me directly how the sump pumps worked. Jason gave me three options for the exit piping. We decided, based on the slope of the land and the location of the septic system that an extendible pipe rather than a submerged pipe that "daylighted" 10-15 feet from the house. The other option was a dry well that seemed difficult due to the location of the septic system. I left for work and Jason and his crew began work immediately.
About 9:45 am on the second day, Jason called and said he'd just left my house and had finished work. He told me everything went smoothly and no issues popped up. Jason went over all of his work with extreme professionalism.
One of my concerns regarded the electrical setup. Jason said we would have to hire our own electrician to hard wire the pumps into our electrical box. As I already have an electrician lined up, this wasn't a huge issue for me as I knew it would only be a couple of hundred dollars more to have both pumps wired in.
Jason told me that Drycrete could also install a battery backup but made sure that I knew the manufacturers warranty was only one year. Jason steered me away from this and said he'd rather have me buy a small generator and have an electrician install a setup for that connecting to the pumps instead of the battery backup system.
To top it all off, Jason insured me that all of Drycrete's work was guaranteed 100% for the life of the house, not just the time we owned the house. Additionally, both sump pumps were guaranteed for the life of the pumps. We would not have to replace anything ourselves if we saw water coming into the basement or noted that the pumps failed for any unforeseen reason in the future.
A week after installation, we noted some moisture all around the basement near the newly poured concrete. I contacted Jason and he told me it was only the concrete curing and the moisture that was beading on the newly formed concrete. Jason stated that if we saw moisture there in two weeks after the concrete was fully cured, he and his crew would come back to reassess and make any fixes as necessary, free of charge.
I would recommend Jason, Mike and the Drycrete crew any day of the week. They were extremely professional and patient with a novice like myself. They did the work they said they did and ahead of schedule. Jason and his crew cleaned up and left the basement worksite cleaner than when they started.

  • I believe the owner is Charles. He came to my house, looked at the problem and explained what my plumber had done wrong in trying to fix the flooding problem in my driveway. He was very busy and was honest about hi schedule. It took about 6 weeks for him to get to me but he showed with a helper and an electrician and completed the job which included installing 2 heavy duty pumps plus the 220 wiring. Seems to have done the trick. We've a few rain storms that would've overwhelmed the previous system but his has handled it with no problem at all. Maybe now I won't freak everytime I hear we're going to get 3" of rain

  • LaPans put in a drain system in our basement (drains, sump pump) and thoroughly cleaned and washed with acid all floors, walls etc.  System has worked perfectly and basement has remained dry and stink free.
John is very honest, responsive, professional and took a lot of pride in doing the job right.  I would use again and recommend to friends and family

  • The following week 2 men came out to install the sump pump and discharge lines. We had been warned that there might be some dust raised during the installation so we covered most things in the basement, but when they were through, there was only a little dust in the immediate area, and everything was left very clean. The 2 men worked for several hours, and when they were finished, they explained very clearly to me how the system worked. I will not know if this was the complete solution until we have another heavy rain, but if it is not, we would opt to have Rescon return to add further drainage.

  • Overall the job was done very well. The owner was very personable and informative. My only complaint is that they should have put the pipping, for the drains, further away from the house; which would make it difficult to clean the drains.

Subsequently, they came back and added to the length of the pcv drain pipe.  It now drains about another 25 feet or so into the bushes at the edge of my yard out-of-site.  As a result I have to give them an A.

  • It was very expensive, but they were excellent. With all this rain we had a dry basement. It was wonderful. Their support and everything has been great. Last year, even though we had sump pumps, we had ankle deep water for the spring. This year with all that snow we didn't have any water in our basement. It was nice and dry. I just called the 800 number, so I am not sure where they are located. It was quite the expense, but we have a dry basement as a result. It was expensive, but it works. We put it off for some time because of the price, but in the end we opted for the dry basement. We priced with some other companies and for the work we had done, it was the going rate. The work we had done wasn't cheap. For us personally, it was extremely expensive. As far as what other companies doing similar work were charging, I think it was pretty similar. We got a 10 percent discount which was similar to the Angie's List discount too. We got the discount by waiting and by not having it done when everybody was getting it done.
