Tom and his crew did a great job and were very professional and friendly. I had a lot of boxes and loose items in a big storage unit to be moved two hours away to another storage unit and apartment. They were on time and worked steadily and efficiently under his direction. Precious items were carefully secured and packed. I highly recommend them for basic moves in the western Mass. area or beyond

Bought a Groupon for junk removal, but when when we contacted the company, the list of what was NOT included was extensive, and covered almost every type of item you could want taken away. This was NOT spelled out in the Groupon. We had a pile of stuff behind our shed we wanted hauled away. Much of it was wood from an old wood pile and some wooden fencing. No hazardous materials, no mattresses, etc. We were told that "yard waste" was not included in the Groupon, although that was not stated prior to our purchase. What we had was stuff they would take, but we couldn't use teh Groupon as payment or partial payment. So my husband paid them to haul it all away, which still leaves us with a Groupon getting close to expiration. We will be doing some home remodeling, so we thought we could use if for that, but they said hauling home remodel debris was also not included in the Groupon (again, they will do it, but won't accept the Groupon). Anything considered "hazardous" is also not included, like old paint cans or computers, which we knew going in. The only thing that is included in the Groupon, they told us, is stuff like old couches and furniture. We never would have bought the Groupon had we known that. I feel like they misrepresented themselves, and would therefore not recommend them. It did also take then a few days to return our call, but they stated on their answering machine that it was due to the high volume of Groupons they sold. So they are haivng trouble keeping up, but have since offered the same deal again on Groupon. Buyer beware.

Our ratings are a little misleading because no work was ever performed and initially the reponsiveness seemed to be worthy of an A. On first contact this was shaping up to be a great experience. I was helping a friend move and he needed to be out by the weekend, but we were short on help and long on items that needed to be removed (mainly unwanted items and trash). I noticed a Groupon advertising for Top Dog Removal Service and recognized that this was just what we needed. The coupon would be 3 or 4 yds of items for a set price. Calling the company to inquire as to their availability, I received an answering machine message explaining that they were overwhelmed with calls and that it may be 1-2 days before they would get back to us. I explained the urgency of our need and asked if they could help. I received a phone call that evening and conversed with Jen about our situation. She said that it would probably be more than the groupon covered (4 yards) and that is the only reason she was able to give us priority. She agreed to come over and see what we had. Her and Jim showed up a few minutes later and initially gave us a price of $350 (plus the $49 groupon) for the job. This price was much higher than we were expecting and not something we could afford. Jim then told us that he could do it for $225 (plus the groupon) if we would move the materials from the third floor to the yard. I presented this to my friend as he had to make the determination to spend the money. As we were discussing this with Jim and Jen, jim offered to do it one evening this week with his guys since they were already being paid for the day. If he did this he could get the price down to $200 and we would not have to worry about moving anything ourselves. This sounded like a great deal and we agreed. Jen called the next day (Tuesday) and confirmed an appointment for Thursday afternoon. On Wednesday that appointment was changed to Friday due to personnel availability. On Thursday she called again to let us know the people were available on Thursday, but it was too late for us to coordinate back to Thursday. the appointment was kept for Friday. On Friday, the men came out wanting to know where our garbage receptacle was for them to dispose the items into and wanted to know what kind of price Jim had given us to remove the items. They wer told that we had no receptacle and that is why they were here and it was felt that if Jim wanted them to know the deal it was for him to tell them. They were very upset and left to call Jen. They never returned. Jim was called to let him know what had transpired. He was very upset and said that he had fired the men that were out there for their actions. He explained that he would personally put together some men to be there on Sunday to remove the stuff.Sunday came and went and no one showed up. Phone calls were made to the business number and Jen's personal cell phone number with no return calls. As the weekend was up and the landlord wanted the place emptied, we were in a bind to get rid of everything. My friend continued to work on what he could for Monday waiting for a phone call from the company that never came. I was not available any longer to help and as he is in a weakened state from the cancer and heart medication it is a very slow process. That evening we were blessed to find 3 teenagers available to help. With the help of one of their mothers and a minivan they were able to clear the place out in 2 hours. I contacted Groupon with my story and they credited my account for the money I had already paid for the coupon. I would like to think there were extenuating circumstances as to why our calls were never returned. The owners, Jim and Jen, seemed like nice reasonable people that wanted to help us out.
