The original cost was $250 and they gave me back $125 due to some complications. I’m taking it to get another opinion and if it comes back that what they told me is correct, then I will be giving them that $125 check back. The reason I’m giving a B on professionalism is because the work that they did is, I had my brakes done at Curry Honda. There were some issues with the brakes. I called corporate Honda who sent me to Lia Honda for a second opinion. Which is why I was there. There was a wobble in my driver’s side front roader and a vibration in my steering wheel when I drove it at about 74 miles an hour. There was a smell coming from my front-end tire wheel lobe and my lug nuts were getting really, really, really hot. So, I brought it to Lia for all those purposes for a second opinion, and to do diagnostics which is the second opinion. They did the second opinion, when they called me, they never found the actual problem. See, I already knew the problem. I already knew what it was, and when I brought it to them, I didn’t tell them what the problem was and I wanted them to find it which is what I was told to do by Honda. To let them look at it with a fresh pair of eyes. They never actually ended up finding anything. I had to go in there and show there mechanic where the problem was. Then, when I showed them what it was, their eyes got like huge, and they’re like, I’m at a loss for words. Then the manager wanted me to pay the $125 diagnostic fee, and I’m like you want me to pay a diagnostic fee when I’m the one who had to go in there and show your mechanic what the problem was. They could not diagnose the problem. I had to show them where the problem was not them. They didn’t show me, I showed them. It was the other was around. I said no. Anyways, he went back in, and he looked at the car. He had all his people look at the car. At the end of the day, he waived the diagnostics fee and whatever they were recommending to fix the car was like $1200 and some change, almost $1300. Which was the same thing that Curry Honda was recommending, which I was like no, that’s bull crap. I’m not spending that kind of money, and I don’t think that that’s the problem. They did not want to call a corporate Honda technician out to look at my car, because they thought that they were just going to do the same thing. I was like, no. I think that you guys are being lazy and don’t want to look at, and find the real problem. I said you know what, just leave the car here. I’ll figure out what to do. If I don’t choose to fix the car, I’ll either park it or whatever. I need to figure out about leasing a car or something. They said fine. They went out and parked the car. I left. I told them I would call them later on in the week, I left. The next day, I get a call at like 2:30 in the afternoon, from the service agent. I think her name is Amy, who I had been working with. She told be hey we did blah, blah, blah. We cleaned up behind your rotator because there was some rust build up behind there. We cleaned on top of the hub because there was some rust buildup or some kind of buildup on there, and we put the rotator back on and it’s not wobbling anymore. We fixed it. Our tech looked into it, and they fixed the problem. It was just some rust buildup or some buildup behind the rotator and on the hub. I’m like really, and she’s like yeah. So, all together it’s like $250. Now to my surprise I was shocked because nobody had called and asked me if I wanted any work done. It’s not like they asked me if I wanted that service done or if I wanted them to work on my car to fix it. I didn’t even know that they were going to that. All I knew was now I’m getting charged $250 to fix something that I didn’t even know that they were doing. Which, I didn’t complain about, if they actually fixed. I went in and I said, I want to see that it’s not actually wobbling anymore, and she goes well, the bolts aren’t heating up anymore, and there’s no more smell, and there’s no more vibration. So, I went in and they showed me it was wobbling some, but very minor, but so was the other side. She was like, we cleaned it up, we definitely don’t recommend having to replace all this and you don’t need that $1300, that’s not the problem. All it is, it’s build up behind the whatever. I’m like, well that’s a relief, see I told you I don’t need $1300 worth of work on each side of my freaking car. I’m so glad I didn’t just spend $2600 for nothing, for some rust. So, I paid the diagnostic fee and whatever. Anyway, beside the point when I left there was still a vibration, my bolts are still getting hot and they’re still getting hot, and there’s still a smell. Yes, they did fix some of it, and no they didn’t. I’m thinking that they were trying to do what was best for me, and they were trying to help me out but I think the way they went about doing it because they didn’t ask me if I wanted it done, and when I had left there the night before, I told them that I was not going to invest any more money if they didn’t know what the actual problem was. Because they didn’t actually know if what they did actually fixed the car, they were going on a hunch. They have no freaking clue what they were doing over there. They tried and because they have good intentions I want to give them that good score, but because they were unprofessional about it and they didn’t call and ask me if I wanted the work done before doing it, even though their heart was in the right place or whatever. Even though they wanted to help me out or whatever, or wanted to see if they could fix the problem or whatever, they shouldn’t charge. I’m sorry, you’re playing with someone else’s money. I can’t afford that. I’m a college student. I’m trying to get my degree. I’m also disabled. I have Fibromyalgia. I’m not capable of going out and working a full-time job, and it’s not like I’ve got money coming out of my ears. I’ve also got to take care of this house and get this house done. My situation is complex. So that is the reason for the B on the professionalism. Would I bring my car back there, yes I would, I think I would. But, I think that I would stress to them next time please don’t do work without first consulting me, but I do think that they meant well 100%, and I do think that they were trying to help me out because Amy knew the situation that I was in with trying to go to school and trying to make this car last because she knows that I can’t afford to buy a new car. I think they all were trying to help me figure out what the problem was with that car without me having to pay $2600. But, it didn’t actually fix the problem, I don’t think, but that’s why I’m bringing it to this other guy to get another opinion. All he does is brakes and suspicion. Taking it to a regular mechanic, they do all sorts of bulls**t. They don’t specialize in just one area. This guy that I’m taking it to, he focuses on this and this alone. He knows this like the back of his hand. So, that’s why I’m taking it to this one guy and I believe that he will tell me, and he’ll be able to straighten all this out, and if what they did for the most part was right in line and they were on the right track, I’m going to give them that money back.

Tim was very helpful and accommodating. My car broke down Thursday, had it towed to the shop Friday morning. Tim had it taken apart Saturday and fixed Monday for Tuesday pickup. Work was well done and great price.

The service always goes very well! The waiting time is horrendous. We were there for a little over 2 hours just to have the oil changed and the check up done. They do offer to take us home and bring us back, however.

    Balise Toyota Scion
They told me it was going to cost $1.800 for a right steering knuckle. They had repaired the left steering knuckle and it had cost me $3.200. I broke in to tears. I said,'Every time I came in for one thing, I have always ended up paying so much more. I come in for an oil change but never leave the place without spending 300 to 500 dollars. You always find something wrong.' They said sorry. When I realized that it didn't cost that much, I was really upset. I feel the service department are prompt, courteous, friendly, but they are not truthful. They tend to find things that allow them to charge a lot of money. I feel like they are dishonest. I think they take advantage of women that come there. They wouldn't do that to a man. They are very punctual. I don't think it is professional to cheat somebody. They are very friendly. If you didn't find out that you are being cheated, you would say it was a great experience. I would never use them again.

Justin and crew are Extremely knowledgeable about a variety of cars. Friendly and honest.

I went there to verify my battery needed replacing, a quick test and new battery was installed. I  have taken my car here for oil changes, also $22.00.  Brake checks, etc.  Their ethics and service are above reproach and I appreciate not being taken advantage of and given honest reports and not overcharged.

I like being able to pull right inside and hand off my keys to a service technician. They have a comfortable waiting area. Depending on how busy they are, I may have to wait some time to get my car back.  Their prices are in line with other companies.

    Greenfield Imported Cars Inc.

Bill and Jonathan always take good care of us when we need to have our cars serviced . The work needed on the 911 would have cost at least $1000 at Hoffman in Hartford. Greenfield replaced the alternator and the regulator for the passenger side window. Both work just fine. I would recommend Greenfield for any mechanical issues you might have with an older Porsche.

Russ has a great reputation in our area. We started going to him about a year ago after our old auto repairman went out of business. Russ took us in as new customers no questions asked. He is very thorough and always gives you a hand-type-written summation of the work performed, any new problems found and estimates with a variety of parts brands. We are very happy customers.

I would recommend them. They are very professional, they are right on the money, and they fix your car very well. They quality is very good. I had an issue with my air conditioning, and they replaced it twice to get it correct, and then they tested my car to make sure it was good

I've been going here for quite some time, and have gotten tires replaced, oil changes, and most recently tires balanced. They have very friendly staff, and can get things done quickly. I've been a repeat customer with them, and have never experienced any issues with their service.
