    They came as scheduled, the work was very difficult since the location was on the basement, they took the old water heater out and they did a very good job, and they were very neat, polite and clean. I had 3 referrals from different people, and without me asking, they gave me an estimate, and that was for me, was very impressive they were honest and professional. The contact person Timothy Rager was very polite, he and his crew came on time and was very informative. They were able to put in the new water heater and it was done perfectly and the price was extremely reasonable and competitive.

    We had gotten an expensive quote from someone else and picked Mike out of a hat for a second opinion. He came over quickly, and established that the original quote had misdiagnosed the issue. Fixed the toilet promptly and charged a reasonable amount. We've been using his services for the many years since, always successfully.

    I had water backing up into the basement and called first thing in the morning. Matt asked some questions to determine the issue and said he would be able to come by in approximately 1.5 hours. He texted soon after and let me know that he'd be able to come by sooner and was there in an hour. He surveyed the scene and set up to do the work in a particular way as to ensure he didn't make a mess in the house. He also clearly explained the work and the pricing. Since he already had the equipment with him, he was able to offer a substantial discount. He worked efficiently and was done in no time. He carefully checked to ensure the work was complete. Great experience and will be my first call for any other drain issues.

    After rescheduling, the plumber arrived promptly and did a very good job of fixing the valve, which was not permitting cold water to be transmitted. The one concern was the high price, or about $630 for a bit less than 4 hours work, which seemed a bit on the expensive side. This included the cost of a new handle.

    The quality of the majority of the work was good, however the job still isn't done after numerous delays and we finally all moved in despite these setbacks. The job was going okay until late spring early summer of 2017 when the contractor, Martin Egan, began asking again for more money in advance "to keep things moving"- this is after nearly 10 months of demo and construction, perhaps we as an association were too trusting and desperate to move home after a fire had displaced us nearly 12 months prior. Main issues: 1. Lack of consistent and clear communication with regards to the timeline 2. Failure to ensure materials and labor was secured to meet timeline. 3. Failure to produce progress that would warrant additional payment 5. Delays that were to be expected with a project this size were not properly managed and reasonable efforts were not made to make-up days or communicate an updated timeline. 6. Unethical business practices were revealed to us in conversations with employees 7. Paid for a change order, yet months went by without the materials appearing or work being done. 8. Project manager on-site had NO authority of purchases or scheduling. Martin was routinely out of communication, would fail to show up to pre-arranged meeting, did not keep word or promises, did not treat homeowners with respect. Look, I could go on and on- we have plenty of emails, texts and photos to document the project and shortcomings on the GC are very clear. The main point is this is NOT a company I would hire or recommend. There were lots of great sub-contractors that I would use again- but they still haven't been paid in full. The job isn't complete, punch list isn't done, there are piles of construction debris, tools and materials in various areas, unpaid subs and a lot of empty and hollow promises from Martin Egan. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issues, get the job done and punch-list complete, I fear this renovation will be added to the long list of horror stories with contractors.

    I really cannot overemphasize how positive my experience with Mark and Epic Plumbing have been. He will be our go-to plumber from here until forever! We had another plumbing company come out to look out our non-functional heater. They took it apart and then told us there was no way to put it back together. I was referred to Mark who come out on very short notice. While he was here, he was able to get the heat working as a short-term fix. While here, he also spent time doing a full review of our plumbing systems and fixed two persistent issues that countless plumbers had not been able to solve over five years and multiple visits. As expected, the fix to the heater was temporary and when we needed to replace it in full, Mark was able to move around his schedule and be here the very next day. The installation was smooth and very high-quality. In addition, he beat the original plumber's quote by $2,000 and, the best part, he went out of his way to fix the ventilation system of our dryer, which was also broken, at NO charge to us. I highly recommend Mark and Epic Plumbing.

    This was a very poor experience.  The service was booked on Tuesday for an appointment on Friday between 10 - 2 PM. Crew of two arrived just before 2 PM.  They had already indicated that there would be a charge of $70 just to show up which I approved.  They then demanded a $299 charge just to do diagnostics.  It took them less than 15 minutes to remove the faucet and identify the clogged filter and that a washer needed to be replaced.  They then quoted me wanted to charge me another $225 for just cleaning the filter and replacing the washer.  The today bill was $590 for about an hour and half for two people.  The job could have been easily done by one.
