Jeff Veglia Remodeling & Tile Contracting
We have done many projects over the years with different contractors, having owned 8 other homes. Jeff has been the easiest, most reliable and responsive contractor we have ever worked with. No surprises. Good quality and his people were always pleasant to work with. He also helped us resolve issues by putting us in touch with other resources. I highly recommend Jeff.

    Rennovare Construction
It went well, longer than expected. But the results are awesome! Construction started before Thanksgiving and we experienced delays due to the holidays for the inspection, which delayed the project and the multiple snowstorms did not help. I am very pleased with the results. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new bathroom. I look forward to the showers! Night and day from before. Love the kitchen with the new cabinets, new countertop, appliances and Sergio's suggestion for the farmhouse sink. The accent wall is AWESOME and very stunning. They also replaced my outdated closet doors and bought me extra storage space in my hallway closet. In a condo like mine, I need all the space I can get. They also redid my ceiling, which had some water damage from several years ago. In the bedroom, we replaced the ugly commercial white rug for Prego hardwood floors, expand my current closet to make me a walk-in closet and built me a custom dresser using see through drawers from Ikea. Also, they built a reach in closet and helped install custom barn doors for me. They also swapped out my old outdated lights for LED flush mounts, recessed lights, pendants. I was able to pick all the materials for the project myself and gave sketches/picture mash-ups to Sergio and Danilo was able to build the cabinets, vanity, etc. to specs. I picked out the paint for them to paint the rooms for me. I shared my before and after pictures with family, friends and co-workers. I've gotten a LOT of compliments on the work.

Brentwood Remodeling and Home Solutions Inc
Brent was absolutely fantastic. Our initial plan was to knock down the wall and build an island around the chimney. When Brent knocked the wall down, he let us know that there were problems with the chimney that we were unaware of. Brent did a great job of communicating throughout the process and he spoke with us about alternative options and what they would cost. He helped us develop an idea that turned out even better than we thought and still stayed within our initial budget. Brent cleaned the work area every day during the project so that we could still be comfortable at home. He was also extremely punctual every day and completed the project on time. At every step, Brent went above and beyond the call of duty. Brent helped coordinate with people making deliveries and the company that installed the granite counter-tops that Brent framed for us. Brent also came in to finalize the project on a Saturday morning to make sure that the project was completed on time before the holidays. I was reluctant to undertake the project because of my fears about having construction problems at my home. Brent allayed all of my concerns with his consistent and professional work. The kitchen island looks absolutely fantastic and really opened up the house. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to undertake a home remodeling project hire Brent.

    Alpha Omega Property Services
Alpha Omega has been fantastic to work with.  We have used them before, and will continue to use them for any general work we need done in our home. They re-tiled our kitchen and bathroom floors, tiled the backsplash in out kitchen, repaired and replaced woodwork in our kitchen (including moldings, baseboards and some cabinetry).  They also patched and replaced drywall in multiple areas, and painted the kitchen and bathroom.

They are wonderful to work with- polite, punctual, hard working, tidy and trustworthy.  The quality of their work is great.   When we requested some follow up work to the kitchen backsplash, they were very patient with us in order to ensure we were completely satisfied with the work.  I have recommended them to friends, will do so again in the future, and plan to use them again for more work.

    TAOZEN FLOORING - Taozen Services
While the provider was professional, I was a bit disappointed: - He was 30 minutes late (he did call to let me know an hour before he was supposed to arrive that he would be late but it still required me to change meetings / calls to be at the condo longer. - Upon arrival, he called to let me know that he did not realize my condo was part of a larger condominium (at no time was this asked of me) and informed me that he did not work in condo units. - He did offer to refer me to someone who works in condos (but have not heard anything). A bit of a waste of time for both of us. Could easily have slotted in another provider to quote if he had simply let me know they do not work in large condo buildings (i.e. larger than duplexes).

    Phil's Floor Services
Our experience with Phil couldn't have been any better. From scheduling through the end of the project, Phil and his team showed the highest level of ability and professionalism. His team was even able to finish a day early! The work that was done transformed our home. I couldn't recommend Phil's Floors highly enough!

    JJ Construction
Jose and his crew were wonderful to work with.   We were coordinating painters (who were good) and a floor contractor (who was a nightmare) and needed Jose and his guys to do a really odd assortment of work for us.  They were responsive, professional, did great work, and really bailed us out when the flooring contractor screwed up.  We will definitely use him when we are ready for our next round of work in our condo.  Had we used him for the flooring from the start things would have gone a lot better -- lesson learned!

    SILMAC Construction Inc.

Contacted Joe back in February after the incident of pipes freezing and bursting, he promptly came out and gave us estimate for $1,700. to relocate existing plumbing way from the exterior walls.  As this was a family owned rental property, we spent the next several months debating what exactly to do.  We owned the property for less than 2years and it appeared to have a number of issues in the past with pipes freezing, so we elected to do a complete demo & remodel to the bathroom.

We contacted Joe and several other contractors all from Angie's List in early May to give us an estimate on the demo & remodel.  Half of the contractors came out and talked a good story, but never responded with estimate or were to busy and would not be able to get to the project until August.  But not Joe, he responded with formal estimate and could start the project right away.  Which was good, as our tenant had moved out and we had flexibility for Joe to schedule the various trade work over the next several weeks.

From meeting in early May with Joe to provide estimate to being ready for rough inspections was all done right before Memorial Day,  I was onsite for the demo and was very impressed with Joe's crew and their professionalism. The turn around with rough inspections slowed the project down a bit, but Joe made sure to stay on top of the inspectors to get it completed.  As for the finish work, I was out of state for the finish work in June, but left everything in Joe's hands to complete.  He was in constant contact with me via text and email until I return to see the finish work.

Everything turned out as I had expected including several changes (custom closet doors) along the way that I initiated.  The great thing about Joe and these changes, we was always looking out for my best interest and finding ways more economical to do it.

All in all, the project kicked off in early May with the estimate and completed by mid-June.  We now have an new tenant signed by July 1st.

There is no doubt, I will call Joe and Silmac for the next project.

    Michael A Foote Remodeling
Update 11/3 - Mike and his crew followed up on his promise to return and fix the mistakes from last year. Although it took a lot longer than I hoped for, Mike did the stand-up thing and committed to making everything right. The shower floor now look much nicer and I'm happy with the way everything looks. A lot of contractors won't stand behind their work, but I have to hand it to Mike for acknowledging that there were problems and making the effort to get the job done. Thanks again.

    Marcellos Design & Builders
This guy is the real deal! Marcello completed my extensive renovations 3.5 years ago. He was awesome at the time but his professionalism and sense of integrity are unmatched in this industry. A few months after the renovations, we noticed that half our master bathroom floor wasn't heated. Marcello was our general contractor but we subcontracted with an electrician to do the floor heat. Due to the warranty, we had to go with a Nuheat certified electrician and his fee was over $1,700 to fix the floor heat which cost just $1,200 to install. Because it was difficult to determine the cause of the failure (warranty or installation), Marcello covered the entire cost! He even had to order an additional box of tiles to repair our bathroom floor, which was very expensive since our tiles came from Spain. Fast forward 3.5 years later (a few weeks ago), the same thing happened! We didn't think Marcello would come but he immediately returned my phone call and showed up when the certified electrician came. This time the electrician discovered the underlying problem: 110V floor heat mats were wired to 220V!! Clearly, it was not Marcello's fault but he was extremely gracious about the situation. Since he ordered an entire box of tiles last time, we had more than enough replacement tiles this time to complete the repair. The electrical repair was completed on a Friday but Marcello was able to have his tiling guy come in on Monday to put back the tiles! In fact he personally came to inspect the tiling job after it was done to make sure I was happy, which I was.

I am so glad we went with Marcello for all the work in my house. He's definitely not someone who would overcharge you or avoid you when issues come up. He's honest and definitely takes his reputation seriously. I could not recommend him enough.
