ARoberto's Affordable LandscapingI called last week with an emergency situation, and Jose Ruiz responded quickly and came over to assess the situation. I hired them, and, 2 days later, a crew arrived at my house. They removed the branch, then cut down the tree and did some pruning. The job was done efficiently and with skill. The tree was in tight quarters, and they got it down skillfully and without any damage to the property. They hauled everything away in their two trucks. Overall, they were dependable, prompt, and skilled in their tree work. They were easy to work with. They cleaned up completely at the end. I would definitely hire Roberto's Affordable Landscaping for tree work again.- Mark F.

ARoberto's Affordable LandscapingThe job went fine, they were very quick in getting started and finishing what I wanted. Originally, Roberto quoted the job for $900. The work was roughly an hour. I did not not have to worry about any tree debris to be hauled away. At first, I thought the job seemed kind of expensive, but considering the fact that someone had to scale a tree and use a chainsaw to get up 15-20 ft remove the bad sections that I wanted cut out, it was actually reasonably priced, since it is hazardous work. There was a vine and another tree along the fence line in the back that snapped partially, it was caught in the branches from a recent storm - the original reason why I needed the job done, it posed a risk for me to work in that part of the yard. I am just glad that the falling tree and all the overgrowth was trimmed back from the fence line. During the cutting process, it was nice that Roberto pointed out that there was some additional deadwood that needed to be cut off, hovering over my shed, it ended up being higher up the tree in my backyard. I had to pay an additional 100, bringing the total to $1,000. Overall, I am satisfied that the job is complete and I can work safely in my yard.- Jeff S.

ABarrett Tree Service East, Inc.The Barrett crew is ah-maze-ing! From Keith the arborist who counseled us, to Mike the crane operator who threaded the needle to get the big machine into an incredibly tight space to Mike the crew chief who effectively managed a full day of multi-tasking to Liz and Isaac and Phil (I think? I’m sorry I missed introducing myself to him) wrangling those enormous branches like there was nothing to it — I couldn’t watch!!! Clean up was complete and ongoing as they worked their way through it all. I feel like there’s a big hole in the sky where the enormous but declining tree was — but I am truly relieved not to have to worry about the next big branch doing more than bouncing off the house like the last one. The peace of mind this professional team brought....priceless. Take a tree, plant a tree — or two or three. We will replace that tree after some fireside dreaming this winter.- Anne S.

ABarrett Tree Service East, Inc.The Barrett Tree Team is professional, knowledgeable and responds quickly. Following an early snowstorm, a number of branches on multiple trees cracked (but did not cleanly break), so I called Barrett to see if they could come to cut/remove the broken branches so they were no longer blocking the sidewalk and street. They came within in a few hours and cut away the cracked and broken branches and hauled them away. I also use Barrett for seasonal pruning and advice on existing trees. AWe had several very large pine trees knocked down and damaged from a severe thunderstorm and winds, and needed them removed quickly since some were still partially held up and could have fallen on our back fence. Any of the trees would have hit our house and done a lot of damage if they fell in that direction. We contacted a few tree removal companies, and Tim came out the next day to look at the situation and was able to fit us into his schedule within a few days to do the work. We picked Neufell Tree & Landscape out of the other tree removal companies because Tim had the best plan for how to remove the fallen/broken trees and a few others that were a danger of falling in the future, and at a reasonable price. We're glad we did because they did an excellent job. The crew worked hard, was pretty quick for the amount of tree removal work they did, and was able to precisely take down the large pine trees in the directions where they wanted to, without any falling near our house or fence (which was a concern of ours with at least one very large broken tree trunk suspended over our fence after the storm). Tim was great to discuss the project and future potential landscaping projects with. At least 3 of our neighbors hired them later to remove storm damaged and other trees on their properties, and were happy with the work as well. We plan to hire them again for any future tree projects as well as other landscaping.

FMr. McDonough came by our property very promptly after we contacted them and gave us an estimate for removal of a very large tree in hazardous condition which was situated some distance in back of the house. He gave us a verbal estimate, and told us he expected to be able to get to our job in about 2 months, and that he would call for detailed scheduling as we neared that time. After waiting about 2 months, and still not hearing anything, we attempted to contact the company for an update, leaving a voice message by phone. After the second attempt to reach them, they called us back to let us know that, regretfully, they had previously underestimated the distance to the tree, and that after a more accurate assessment, they concluded that they would not be able to do the work, their crane would just not reach far enough, contrary to their earlier estimates. So, after losing about 3 months of time with them, we had to start all over again on our quest to get rid of this hazard.

AI had Iron Tree perform tree removal (crane and all!) and stump grinding. The prices were fair and the work was excellent. However I could never get any phone calls back from the scheduler. Both times Iron Tree came out I had to go through the arborist via email to get the scheduler to call me back and set up a date for the work. I was told each time the scheduler would reach out to me in a week. Each time I did not receive a call and when I followed up with the office I did not receive a phone call back either. Chasing down people I am going to end up having to pay for work is one of my pet peeves. That said, everyone was excellent except for the scheduler. If the work and price wasn't so good I would have given them a C or less. Still, I am unlikely to use them again or recommend them to others. UPDATE: The day after my review I was contacted via phone by John, one of the owners of the company. I was prepared for an awkward, confrontational conversation but John was entirely professional, had a timeline of all my interactions with Iron Tree, and genuinely wanted to attempt to make things right and find out where in the process things got off track so it didn’t happen again. I was actually a bit shocked. I’ve never had the owner of a company call me personally about concerns I had and take the time he did to come to a resolution. I still am a bit shocked. Looking at my phone, we spoke with 19 minutes. This company DOES care deeply about its clients – John did his homework on my case and was in no rush to get me off the phone. Yes, there were communication issues and a misstep or two, but I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to friends and family. I’ve never seen or experienced customer service follow thorough quite like this! Thank you!
