AThey are absolutely wonderful. Last year they found out that our dog had lime disease And they gave us treatment for her that made her better almost immediately. We had a number of test done for various diseases and some vaccines.- Lynn C.

AThere was no wait time. They are punctual whenever the appointment is. The vet interacted well with my pet. The setting is clean. I keep going to this vet because I like the way they treat the animals and they know what they are doing.- Steven W.

BIt wasn't with my usual vet. It was alright but they didn't really address my concerns. Over the last couple of years it doesn't seem like I have the best luck there with last minute appointments and especially with the ER.- Tamara S.

AI have been using them for a number of years. They administered treatment and told us what the expect and look for. They're really really good. They are very thorough and helpful. My horse is fine now.- Tamara S.

AThis is the second time I've used these vets. The first time my cat was very sick and died almost immediately in their care. I don't blame them for that, but they charged me $250 for just taking a look at her. I was too upset to care much about it.
The second time I used this vet I brought another cat in for a consult and possibly some minor surgery. The vet Dr. Champaigne was very professional and knew what he was doing. No complaints about the level of care. You can bring your pet to these vets and know that they will probably do a good job. The consult cost me $140 - $65 for just walking in the door, $40 for a shot, and $30 for shaving off some hair. In retrospect I think that this vet overcharges. So if you bring your pet here you should expect that whatever they do will be costly.
In truth there aren't many vets in the area, and you are paying for that. I would definitely uses these people again, but the pricing does give me pause.

ACindy is fantastic! My cats are what the vet calls "semi-feral" and that was no challenge for Cindy. She was able to come in a period of time that included their usual eating time. She fed them, refreshed their water, cleaned their litter box, played with them, gave them treats, talked and interacted with them. Normally shy and skittish, my cats made fast friends with Cindy. I think they feel they have a new aunt! Cindy was easy to communicate with via phone and text. She's the best catsitter my cats have ever had! I will definitely use her when I travel in the future.
I can't say enough good things about her!
The cost was a reasonable $25/visit and she made 4 visits

AWe have had Fetch for 2.5 years and just love how they treat out dog. They help with obedience by flagging behaviors and correcting, they give our dog love, and they are very professional and always respond to email, call or text. They always seem to be able to fit our dog in for extra walks. Also, extremely dependable.

This is a review for the annual check up and the unfortunate request for updated records so that I can move my cats to a better more attentive veterinarian.
First, I got a quote from the receptionist when I booked the appointment. I asked her if this included the shots and she said it did. I repeated my question, because I was wanted to make certain. She agreed. I went to the appointment, the quote was different. The vet did not apologize. She said I must have heard wrong. All right.
Next, for the appointment. They need records. I gave them the number of my old vet in Boston for records. My old vet in Boston calls me ten minutes later to apologize, but the Yorkville animal hospital receptionist hung up on them before they could confirm contact information to send my cats' records... I have to hand my cell phone to the vet to give them the information for the hospital.
On the bright side, the vet seemed reasonably skilled. However, even though we made an appointment for two cats, she would leave in the middle of the appointment and disappear for literally 24 minutes. So our annual check up took almost 3 hours... Of which, we were waiting at least an hour and a half because she was seeing other patients in the middle of our check up and shots. I did not appreciate this since we booked an appointment so that we can be seen on time and limit the time that had to be wasted waiting for the vet to see other cats/dogs.
Prices... Other than the fact that a different price was quoted to us. It was odd that they recommended certain shots and did not give us an explanation of the breakdown. We had to wait another half an hour to get the receptionist, vet tech, or doctor's attention to say that we had questions regarding the shots. The receptionist and vet tech both said they were not able to answer our questions.
Fine okay. It was our fault for only relying on yelp and taking our cats to this hospital after moving to the UES. Will not make this mistake again. If I am paying for an appointment, I want to go to a vet that is organized, doesn't hang up on my old vet's office, doesn't see other patients in the middle of my own appointment, and takes the time to explain the costs that they want me to pay... Oh, it would also be nice if they explain how to administer the medicine that they proscribe without me having to ask...
Next fiasco. I need records for my new vet. I know that this place has issues so I call around 3 for records. Simple call, request records to be sent by email as soon as possible and leave email. Two hours later nothing... Call back and ask for records for both cats at this point. Someone puts me on hold for twenty minutes and forgets about me. Next person says that the vet is making notes on the records. I call back 30 minutes later exasperated. Receptionist mutters, "oh my God" on the phone when she hears my name. I kindly ask her not to swear on the phone with me and to send me my records. Ten minutes later, I get an email with Page 1 of 2 on a PDF with no vet notes... It looks more like an invoice. I call again and explain that I received one page for one pet... I need all records for both pets and ask for an estimated time for the completion of this simple task. I am told she will ask the vet... Currently still waiting.

AThey are good. They are very attentive. They can always make an emergency appointment when you need it. They are nice people and very intelligent. They always have good answers and they're always ready to answer your question. They seemed expensive but I think all vets seem expensive.- Benjamin H.

APatrick, our cat, would not eat his recent prescription, which we mixed in with tuna fish, as he typically had in the past, so I called the pharmacy for suggestions.
Maria, as well as everyone else with whom I dealt at Maida Pharmacy, was incredibly nice, responding with both kindness and professional curiosity. They discussed with us and thought of ways to tinker with the formula (adding more salt? more fish flavoring?) then compounded a new batch of medication for the cat. He is now eating it easily. We were very grateful for their care and responsiveness.
