Irrigation System reviews in Cambridge

We spent 2 years renovating our house leaving our yard a giant mud puddle. Over the course of the winter, we worked with Ron to develop the landscaping plan. In the spring, his team re-leveled the entire lot, installed 2 patios with pavers, sod, a fence, prepped for a shed and put in a new asphalt driveway and vegetation. We are very happy with the final product.

I've worked with several landscaping/hardscaping companies over the years and Masonworks are THE BEST, by far. Very professional, reasonable price, and outstanding quality of work. They did a big job for us this summer - installed a paver driveway, paver patio, paver walkways, bluestone patio, drainage system, sod, and irrigation. The pavers (Cambridge Kingscourt) look great - perfect layout/patterns, great attention to detail in the cuts, graded perfectly. Bluestone patio looks great too. They also do a great job with the stuff you don't see, like the excavating, soil compacting, cementing, etc so everything should look great for years to come. I've received a lot of compliments from the neighbors! I highly recommend Masonworks.

They did a good job. I think they are expensive. Because I already had the system installed they needed to place the little hoses to extend them. They also worked on the water system and I am fine with that.

Last spring, while the guy was turning on the system (chatting on his cell phone at same time) he didn't notice that something was of the zones was pouring water into our basement! The previous fall they had not fully blown out the water, so the pipe froze, water expanded, and pipe burst a hole over the winter. Called McGrath who apologized and assured me not to worry, that he "has insurance to cover these kind of situations". We had the repairs done (open wall, find pipe breakage, replace pipe, close wall, fix and paint wall etc etc) and sent him the $1800 invoice. No reply. Called him after two months and he apologized and promised he would submit the claim (some excuse about being sick and forgetting about it...). Long story short, his insurance company, "Selective Insurance" of Kentucky is appropriately named! I sent many emails with photos, explanations, documentation etc etc and after two months they sent me an email saying it wasn't covered. Meantime I had called and emailed Jack McGrath four or five times and HE NEVER RESPONDED! So, yes his service is less expensive, but beware, he is dishonest and his workers are lazy! I'm out $1800 plus huge waste of my time trying to get reimbursement!

It went very well. It took a while to start the work, not because of Moodscapes but because of the drought this summer. Judi was reluctant to plant while things were so dry and I appreciated her honesty about the likelihood of success with the dry weather. Throughout the summer, Judi kept in touch with me and we discussed in detail and several times what plants I wanted planted. When Moonscapes finally did plant a few weeks ago, they did a marvelous job. Judi really listened to what I wanted from my gardens and the combination of plants is interesting and beautiful. In addition, the grass came in better than I expected. Moonscape employees were friendly and efficient - they completed the planting job in 2 days and left everything in beautiful shape. Judi gave me very detailed directions for watering the lawn. I am so looking forward to the spring when everything comes up again. I am planning on using Moonscapes again for my spring and fall clean-up.

Ben and Adam and their great team from Home Harvest earn top rating for an amazing transformation of our front garden. The old garden, built 3/4 over the roof of a concrete roofed garage, was too heavy for the long-term survival of the garage. They removed more than 15 tons of brick, sand, and soil, constructed a raised 'green roof' patio with well-engineered drainage systems below, built raised garden beds, installed drip irrigation systems throughout, planned and planted shrubs, vegetables, and perennials for an easy-upkeep edible garden. Ben worked closely with us to adjust the plans to fit our budget, and the project came in under their detailed, itemized contract. Staff were wonderful--hardworking through all weather, punctual, efficient and a pleasure to have around. We couldn't recommend HomeHarvest more highly.

The patio and garden created in the fall of 2015 have been wonderful. With our mild winter, we were eating fresh home grown greens through November and have already been enjoying spinach and arugula this spring. Abby came in April to help us plant, as well as reconnect the irrigation  system.

Gary has taken care of my sprinkler system for many years with no real problems.  He came and he went. My sprinkler system worked.  This spring my experience with them is quite strange and unprofessional.  I would not recommend him if you want someone you can count on for resolving problems.  Gary's employee came twice to turn on my sprinkler system, with no luck.  He thought there was a problem with the electrical line under my yard and began to dig it up.  He came a second time with no luck.  Gary's office did nothing more to resolve this problem.  When I called, I was told that the employee lacked the necessary experience, so they needed to send a more experienced person.  They would schedule Gary, but I needed to wait.  Meanwhile, several weeks have passed and my lawn thirsts for water. Gary was supposed to come yesterday morning.  I called his office late morning to confirm that he was coming. I was told 12:30 then 2:30.  Each time, I was told repeatedly that I didn't need to be there.  Each time I repeatedly said I would wait, for I wanted to be there to understand the problem, given the failure of the previous two visits.  Gary never showed up and has not returned phone calls.  Maybe he does not like to be observed while working, but given the problems, as the homeowner, I needed to be on top of the situation.  I can not recommend Gary Fialkowski's Lawn Sprinkler Service.

I was particularly pleased with the speed in which they completed the projected.  They started when they promised they would and finished within a week.  And if we changed our mind about what we wanted done, it did not delay the project.  Terra Landscape and Construction accepted change orders easily and cost effectively.

The basic service was efficient and pleasant.

When we went beyond the basic system, it got more complicated.  We talked about different ways of extending the system, and asked for separate estimates, but did not get separate ones.  In the end, we decided to stick with their basis service, and were pleased with that.

am fully satisfied with services provided; these are not limited strictly to hands-on performance, but also to availability over the telephone whenever questions asked or advice sought. I always get a call back, even when I say it is not necessary to call if what I ask for cannot be provided.
