Health Care Facility reviews in Cambridge

I was using the pool to assist with recovery after surgery. I put my membership on hold for one month due to the surgery. While I was in the locker room, I was attacked in a very vulnerable state by a person who lives in my building that has been targeting me for quite some time. They put my membership on hold. The manager of the facility wouldn?t have a meeting with me so I could explain that this altercation was not my fault. Because of this, I?m not able to exercise or recover from my injury the way I should be. I feel discriminated against, and also feel very violated, as this has prevented me from living a healthy lifestyle.

I recommend them. I'm going there today. I was there yesterday. I've used them for 30 years. They're superb. It's a family run business and it has been there since I moved to Cambridge 30 years ago. If they're talking to you about a drug they go, "Have you used it before? Are you worried about it? Do you need some extra advice? Are you looking for anything?" They do that kind of a thing brilliantly. They are very responsible and very accurate. They usually know everybody by their name. They're extremely good handling complex insurance questions.

As we have a high deductible plan, CIGNA Health Care's main benefit is to negotiate the lowest price possible with our healthcare providers. This usually works well, except when the healthcare provider bills CIGNA for the wrong procedure. That is when it takes time to resolve whether CIGNA made a mistake in how much they charge us or whether it was the healthcare provider that made a mistake. I wish that CIGNA would be more helpful in figuring out these billing mistakes, as it takes time and patience to sort them out. We are overall happy with the plan as it has overall saved us money and given us good medical coverage, although with the downside that we have to be vigilant that we are charged for the right procedures.

I have been using HPHC for the last year as I wanted more freedom to choose doctors. I had been using Tufts, but found that they would not support my decision to choose a specific doctor. I compared the cost of the two plans and found the difference not that great. I switched to HPHC. So far all my claims have gone through and I am happy. Since I am on Medicare, all my claims most first go through them and then any other charges are handled through my HPHC gap plan Medicare Enhance.

I have only been enrolled in Harvard Pilgrim for 9 months, but I have been impressed with their coverage and customer service. Thus far, all of the providers that I've considered accept Harvard Pilgrim insurance, which is a big plus and the provider network is vast.
I'm excited to have many healthcare options and a straight forward billing process.

Tufts HMO is the best medical plan I have ever had, and I have had the best because I have always worked at companies that offered good benefits to employees. The doctors' list is so expansive you would never know you are in an HMO. I think this is in part to being in Massachusetts, because the medical standards are so much higher than some other parts of the country.
The coverage offered is very generous, at least for my plan. I know that is totally up to the person in your company selecting benefits, but I don't think Tufts has a cheesy plan. (We'll see with Obamacare if all the big companies start offering cut-rate plans to replace the Massachusetts Commonwealth Connector. )
I see married couples in my company choose the spouse's plan that will be cheaper in their payroll deductions, and boy, they are making a big mistake if they don't choose our Tufts HMO because there is practically no out-of-pocket due to the -0- copay regs around preventive now.
I think they compensate their employees pretty well, but not the scandalous CEO salary and golden parachutes of their competition.
One thing I don't like about Tufts are the stupid models they use in the printed brochures, materials and magazine you get at home.
They look so plastic and you know they are not real patients because it would be against the law to break their confidentiality! I would prefer to just see real photos of their employees.

It is a wonderful program and hospital. We like it's interconnection with the hospital including all the doctors who we see that are affiliated with the hospital. We also like the quality of the staffing. They also have an exercise program plus various education programs. It is a community hospital with a world class cardiac program.

The staff at the Mt. Auburn Emergency Room was notified of my condition and as soon as I arrived I was immediately sent for a CT scan for a confirming diagnosis. Yes, I did have a blood clot and I spent 2 nights in the hospital being treated. My stay was over the weekend yet all non-routine tests were still performed (ultrasound and other scans). The nursing staff was very patient and answered all my questions and taught me to self-inject a blood clot buster drug so that I would be able to leave the hospital sooner. The pulmonary specialist also visited me on two occasions over the course of the weekend. This was my first overnight stay in a hospital so it was pretty scary yet I always felt in good hands. The transport staff always arrived on time to transport me to the different scanning areas and always returned on time to bring me back to my room. My room was large and could have included three other patients. Thankfully I had the room to myself. The room also included free TV service.

She is still in high school. They didn't want to give her a cast and wanted her to stay quiet. He gave her a brace. He doesn't specialize in children. He just doesn't understand that it's impossible for her to stay quiet. She is 16. She's active, an athlete, and doesn't stay quiet. It's terrific, it's my first choice, but, it's not for children. We went there when she broke her leg when she was three, we went there, and everything was fine, as they had a specialist for children. I give them higher ratings but would suggest it is good for grownups (at least, this particular doctor), but, not kids. I would go there, again.

They take of the prescriptions and look in to the interactions.  They care for the patients and call the doctor for any queries.  They explain the prescription well and do a very good job.  I liked their services and will use the same in future.
