    Commonwealth Planning Group
When I was looking into purchasing a deferred Income annuity from MassMutual, MassMutual representative referred me to Bill's firm, Commonwealth Financial Group.  Bill understood my needs accurately with just a single correspondence and provided me with detailed quotes with very competitive price.  I also made inquiries to two other firms.  So I truly appreciated his professionalism and thoroughness in his response.
Even though I was just working with him with a small transaction, he offered me an opportunity to review my overall retirement income strategy without any commitment or fee.  His interaction was always non-intrusive and he never asked me about quotes I received from other firms even though I disclosed that I was comparing prices.  He was never forceful when he presented me with options and gave me wise advice, which I did follow.
I ended up not buying the annuity product through his firm, but it was due to my own personal circumstance, and no fault or lacking on his part.  If I have a chance to work with him in the future I would welcome the opportunity, and I recommend his service wholeheartedly to anyone who is looking for a financial advisor.  Albeit brief, it was a real pleasure working with him.

    Sensible Financial
My husband and I are considering retirement and were looking for a fee-based financial planner and we consulted Angie's List as well as the Internet. Sensible looked like an excellent prospect, and I was excited to hire them for an assessment. It took me about two weeks to get a phone appointment. The first indicator that something was wrong was that Rick called 25 minutes late for an hour appointment.  He didn't apologize, and when I pointed out how late he was, he just said, "Do you have time now or would you like to reschedule?"  As a small business owner, that did not sit well with me, but I decided to go ahead because we wanted to proceed with this process as quickly as possible. He asked about our assets and what we were looking for.  When I had finished, he said, " My suspicion is that you want to manage your own resources and that you are looking for a consultation every couple of years."  This was a fair assessment, but it was also something that was clearly offered on the website and something the folks in the other reviews had received.  He told me in so many words that, while I could do this assessment ( for $4500), they were "moving toward" client relationships that were more regular and long term.  I was shocked and dismayed. Please let people know you only want them if they are regular investors who want you to handle their portfolio.  That would be fine, and I wouldn't have wasted my time.  To his credit, he referred me to a planner "more suited" to our needs, but after calling her 3 times and getting no answer, I'm a month into my search with nothing to show for it.  Sad to have to write this report, because all of the folks look highly qualified, but there it is.  And sad that they couldn't be bothered with our business.

    Peace of Money
I was very anxious about meeting her - but I knew I had financial problems and I liked the name of her company (Peace of Money) and the sense she would be nonjudgmental. She has been gracious and unfazed from the start. At this point we are meeting on a monthly basis - to review my spending and credit card card use. I'm keeping a notebook - and developing an understanding of my financial situation that I never wanted to face before. She has been adept at figuring out my assets (not easy as there are trust funds).and for the first time I feel informed, confident and not guilty about how I am using my money. I am sure for other clients Charlo is able to help them in one or 2 sessions. I'm just needing the extra support.

    Peace of Money
Charlo Maurer (Peace of Money) is a terrific financial planner. You can be assured of steady and supportive assistance in all matters. I was one of Charlos early clients, and she initially advised me about my savings and where to invest. I found her information both about funds and how they worked easy to understand and extrememly helpful. Over the years I have made changes based on her recommendations to balance my portfolio and decrease any loaded mutual funds. Charlo also helped me project my retirement needs and she came up with a plan. I always felt confident in her advice and she really works to meet you at what ever your comfort level is concerning investment. I steered clear of pushy advisors, as that is not my style. I like being informed and exposed to new ideas, both of which I have consistently gotten from Charlo. As a single woman, after a divorce, I was buying a house. Again, Charlo really helped me understand what I could afford and what the advantages were to different kind of properties. Her advice gave me the comfort in buying a 2 family, which was the best thing I could have possibly done. I cannot tell you how happy I am in my home, and I dont think I would have understood how I could afford this on my own. So if you are looking for someone to advise you, care for your needs, help you in different situations (such as retirement or purchasing a home) I cannot imagine that you could do any better than turning to Charlo, you will get Peace of Mind!

    Peace of Money
Charlo helped us take an unbiased look at our finances. She helped us figure out what parts of our budget should change to eliminate our high interest debt. We accomplished that faster than we thought possible. She helped us look at our 401k plans, and figured out what funds were most appropriate for us to invest our money. We are an unmarried l****** couple, and Charlo has prepared our taxes to our best financial benefit. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences working with Peace of Money, and recommend the service to our friends. Charlo's advice does give us peace of mind with our money!

    Sensible Financial
This fee-only company is a rare find. I interviewed many financial planners and Rick and Rick far surpassed any of them. They offered an initial free hour long consultation. Subsequent meetings were carefully planned. They allowed plenty of time for discussion. They explained their method and financial issues and made suggestions in a respectful, knowledgeable and easy to understand manner. At all times they heard and took my wishes seriously. Their fees for ongoing services of managing my portfolio seemed extremely reasonable. They exerted no pressure to continue working with them. Love their office space.
