Marc’s team started working on our house right before the pandemic. The team continued working while maintaining all safety measures, and he kept us updated on the progress with daily calls and messages. Raquel worked on the design, doing research and coming up with multiple options for every design choice, all with a smile and a genuine desire to come up with the best possible look for the house. AMA Design & Construction CoI used MA Design & Construction for my kitchen remodel. Raquel and Marc were very helpful in going through the options from painting the existing cabinets through to full replacement. We started with more modest changes but after debate ended with essentially their initial recommendation. The workers throughout the project were professional and I never felt uneasy with them being around the family. As the project progressed there were recommendations that Marc or Raquel would make which led to a better outcome. Marc would also pick out imperfections in the work and insure they were addressed which was appreciated. We're very pleased with the outcome and would not hesitate to work with them again.- nick c.

AI rarely / never take the time to write reviews, but I consider it an honor in this case. Malvern did some electrical work at my house that ended up being not much in the way of "work" at all. In fact, he talked me OUT of having any actual work done by showing me simple fixes to problems that have been plaguing me for quite some time. Frequent trips on dining room circuit were due to too many incandescent bulbs. Flickering lights in another chandelier were due to a loose connection. A "rewiring" problem was fixed by simply plugging something into a different (less vulnerable/loaded) outlet. There were some other things he showed me as well, but the approach was the same: incredible troubleshooting to find the lowest/no-cost solution. Malvern did all this without making me feel like an idiot, which would have been appropriate given that "user error" was the closest thing to a common denominator across these varied issues. THANK YOU, Malvern, for your incredible ethic and patience. Consider me a reference for life.

AIt was great to have one person to deal with renovations of the bathroom. The ability to synchronize the installation of plumbing and electrical so that the finishing work could be completed saved more then a week on the project. The contractor’s subs were on time and left the space clean and ready for use immediately.

AI had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group.
