    Khalsa Chiropractic Office PC
Dr. Khalsa is amazing. I'd say 90% of chiropractors don't really have a sense of the body, and of the subtle ways that tweaks can have a major effect. Khalsa knows what ails me, and consistently focuses on unlocking my vertebrae with precision. I have been with him long enough that I know most of his techniques, but every few times he might find a vertebrae that's not cooperating and the tricks up his sleeve seem endless. I am seriously impressed with his work. He works with many of the Harvard athletics teams, and I highly recommend him if you can get in his schedule.

    NEWTON CHIROPRACTIC & WELLNESS CENTRE-CHIROPRACTOR
Over the course of several visits, Dr. Burke and her team cured my lower back pain using a combination of Network Spinal Analysis and therapeutic massage. This is a different and somewhat controversial technique than traditional chiropracty, but the proof is in the results. I went from being unable to sit for any length of time or sleep through the night to being completely pain-free.

Excellent. All of the disparate problems I had are starting to unwind. I am in for less pain. x-rays showed that I had whiplash & a reverse spine curve & subluxated Altas (top of spine). Drs. & staff are kind, knowledgeable & courteous.

    Alexander Chiropractic
Dr. Alexander possesses great skill as a chiropractor. His adjustments are effective and gentle. He also understands athletic injuries and when he takes the time to do deep tissue work, it can be very effective.
However, I don't really appreciate how he runs his clinic. He schedules multiple patients at the same time and when he is busy, the appointments may last 5 minutes. This is quite different from other chiropractors that I've seen in other cities, who schedule 15-30 minutes for an appointment. It seems to me this may be the way that chiropractors are taught at and quot;Logan Chiropractic Collegeand quot;. Also, Dr. Alexander is not the most communicative, but I think this is related to a lack of time.
My major complaint is with regards to billing. If Dr. Alexander does not accept your insurance and you rely on your insurance to cover the bill, do not use his services. Despite what his staff says about and quot;we will work with you to get reimbursedand quot; and and quot;insurance company's are required, by law, to reimburse you within 7 daysand quot;, I was mostly unsuccessful in receiving reimbursement from my insurance agency. After a lot of hassle, I learned that all of the follow-up correspondence that was sent to Dr. Alexander was either returned to sender or thrown in the trash, because if they don't work with an insurer, they don't open the mail. After 1 year of submitting forms and reports, I recovered less than 10% of the over $2000 paid for services.

Dr. Zubiel is awesome. She has a great bedside manner. She asks good questions, listens and explains her various treatments. I've had a chronic hamstring issue that she has been treating with the Active Release Technique (ART), chiropractic manipulations and exercise. She has a lot of experience treating athletic injuries, which is helpful for an active person. She is very personable and pleasant.
Their office is a bit funky, but I'd definitely recommend Dr. Zubiel!

    Watertown Back Care
Dr. Gorman is able to respond to your individual issue even if it is not directly related to spine. He uses a technique called ART and he helped me with my knee and leg injury very much and I appreciate that.

    HARVARD SQUARE CHIROPRACTIC
I visited Harvard Square Chiropractic after I had a fall and my back needed some serious adjustment. The staff is friendly. The location is great, which is in part why I chose to go there. The treatment was fine and it definitely helped with the immediate pain that I was having. Dr. Doody is very pleasant and does a decent chiropractic adjustment. Initially, Dr. Doody spent extra time working some of the muscle groups around the affected areas. However, with subsequent appointments, this soft tissue work diminished. I would like to have more than a 10 minute appointment, especially when my muscles are very fired up. It has never made sense to me to adjust a and quot;coldand quot; spine and then move along to another problem area. I'd like to see a bit more soft tissue attention along with the adjustment.

Dr. Hagan rocks. He provides great care and gives me homework so that I can continue working on problem areas on my own without necessarily needing to come to the office again. My only issue is that his schedule is incredibly full. It can be hard to make an appointment the same week, and when my back hurts, I usually want to make an appointment right away. When I am able to get in, though, the care is some of the best I've had.

Conley, Dr. Susan - Alta Chiropractic
Making the appointment by email is easy. Dr. Conley is very responsive. Every time I've been to see her in the last 5 years she is always running on-time. She's a magician on my back for either a routine monthly visit or when I've done something to pull my back. She even cracked my toe when it was out last year.

    Trevens Specific Chiropractic
I was curious about their technique and that was informative. Trevens Chiropractic utilizes a specialized approach to chiropractic care which focuses on adjusting the atlas vertebrae at the juncture of the head and spine.  Their philosophy is that if that is off, then structurally it can cause misalignment issues throughout the body.  I did not enjoy my experience with the receptionist, at first she was very friendly but when I had to reschedule my initial apt, which I gave over a weeks notice about, and we picked a time of day that during the conversation I decided I wanted to look into a later time of day and she became very short with me.  This happened again when scheduling the second part of the two part apt.
I got xrays which was fascinating and I was able to keep the xrays which I felt was the informative part of my experience.  I enjoyed the woman, Shelley alot but it turned out that she is not the one who provides the treatments, it is her husband.  I read the literature and watched a video about the technique.  The woman who was giving the presentation had her head cocked to the side which did not make sense to me if she has had the technique for neck adjustments for so long.  After reading all of the literature and seeing the video, my gut sense is that it felt to me like there was a sense of consumerism or fakeness.
It is a big commitment to undergo the treatments, both time and financial.  When I said that I wasn't interested, the billing dept woman took me in the back room and had a talk with me about how "don't tell the doctor I told you this, but you dont need to do the extensive amount of treatments that he suggests".  I just felt this was their business plan and I didn't like the approach.  I also felt that given the time and money commitment  that it could be interesting but not what I wanted to try.
