Auto Body Repair reviews in Cambridge

Seamlessly. Each staff member was courteous and tuned into my needs. I highly recommend this auto body shop. The paint on my car is difficult to match, but the final result is perfect. High Tech Auto Body is one of my insurance company's preferred vendors and I understand why. Reasonable, fair prices and excellent work done on time.

There's a reason I keep bringing my car to these guys. On each of my four (FOUR!) visits to Michael J. Hynes, the team has been incredibly helpful and made the inconvenience of a car repair very easy to manage. This last visit, when so much of my car was damaged (my car insurance company was out more than $4K), they had a lot of work to do. When I picked my car up, it looked fantastic and they detailed it (inside and out) before returning it to me. I worked with Maury on this repair and he was very helpful, polite, and clearly has a great customer service focus. Most importantly, I'm really happy with the work, but the people who helped me were terrific.

Work was spectacular, detailed the car. etc.
However, HIGHLY disappointed in interactions.  First time written estimate was ~ $500 and then somehow was $200 more when I brought car in on appointed day.  I was given some story about paint colors etc.
Second time I brought car, was given verbal estimate by Billy (co-owner) for $300 and when I came back I was told it would be $700 and he told me I must have "misunderstood".  No misunderstanding.  I'm not particularly price sensitive but hate being told it's one thing and more when I bring it back to have the work done.  Never going back.  Not professional.

They do fantastic work, at a very fair price and in the time they promise. I got two other bids from shops who wanted to repaint the whole car, practically, for more money. It clearly wasn't necessary. Daniel Markarian is personable and super professional. Love this shop!

Mike made everything very pleasant and easy for me. He quickly studied
the insurance papers and said, I know the adjuster and will settle any
extra work with him right away. I will order the part so it will be ready to
go when you bring the car in.
He told me I should get a free rental since damage had been caused by another
driver. I then arranged free rental through insurance thanks to Mike's advice.
He also fixed a side door on my Odyssey which was jammed in addition to the
    main repair.
Mike called me a day early to let me know my car was ready!!!
The car was vacuumed and looked great.
I highly recommend Hi Tech Auto Body which is a preferred Commerce insurance Company.
They have an office which supports their work and made everything efficient
    and friendly.

Hanson and Tilton was recommended to me as a place where people took their Mercedes, BMWs etc. for body work. It is run by a personable husband (shop) and wife (office) team. I first used them for my Mercedes convertible 2 years ago, when a UPS truck damaged my driver's side. They replaced the door, fixed the front and rear quarter, and replaced the front and rear bumper and alloy wheels. They did all the negotiation with the insurance company, refusing aftermarket parts which did not meet their high standards, and all in all did a careful and meticulous repair job. When my wife was involved in a chain accident, damaging her left front and side, I took it to them, and they did the same painstaking job as before. The adjuster had to visit three times in all, first for preliminary estimate, then when damage was revealed, and the third time when parts from their sources were of inferior quality. The car was in the shop for 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving effect on adjuster's schedules. Again a first class job. Highly recommended.

    Somerville Auto Center, Inc
We have used Somerville Auto Repair 6-8 times and have always been happy with them.  We've never had complaints about any of their work-- it's always been very high quality.  They are clear about how much it will cost and what is necessary (once they have determined that).  I enjoy the people that I've interacted with there, and the one time we were not completely satisfied with the work (a spot had been missed), we pointed it out and there were no problems getting them to take care of it-- they didn't give us any trouble.
We also had our van towed to their shop when it was in an accident.  The back panel going over the roof had been cut, and the insurance decided it was a total loss and offered us about $9,000.  One of the men at the shop gave us some really useful information-- that we had the right to challenge their offer and provide evidence that the van was worth more than what they had estimated.  After about an hour of internet research and some time on the phone I was able to get over $11,000 from the company rather than the initial offer.  I had no idea you could even do this.  It didn't matter to them how much money I got for the van, but their interest in our situation let them to give us some invaluable advice.  We've been very loyal customers ever since.

The people at Webster were thoughtful, fast and made a great looking job.  They worked very well with our insurance company and was no fuss for us at all.  Made a difficult accident much better.   Only reminder, that despite their run down looking building they are pro, and good people.

We were referred to Fred M. Susan Auto Body by our insurance company.  We'd never used them before but the people were extra friendly, down-to-earth, helpful, and didn't try to sell up while we were there.  They were open to doing a little touch up in a couple of spots to prevent rust and did it without charging us.  When we picked up the car, it inside was vacuumed and the dashboard dust wiped clean!  We never saw that with Maaco, ever.
We'd go back to Fred M. Susan in the future for any auto body work.

I brought the van in after having called but without an appointment.  Garnik was able to quickly assess the issues after looking at the damage and gave me an estimate on the spot.  He was also able to offer me an appointment for the work within a few days.
His estimate was very reasonable, given all the work that had to be done and I really felt he knew the actual cost of each item.  Cost was important to me as I was not using insurance for this repair.
I brought the car in on a Monday and if was ready on Wednesday.  he called me wednesday morning to let me know when i could pick it up.  He was courteous, professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job.  I will take all my cars to Alpha from now on (and would have done this sooner had I been smart enough to consult Angie's list in prior years!).  I would recommend Alpha without any hesitation to anyone who wants a professional job at a fair price and a pleasant experience.
