  • After reading the MRI, Dr. Z said it was a serious infection, not gout as the PCP determined. My husband's PCP is at a major hospital where the MRI and surgery were performed. He has been on antibiotics since 1-22-15 and is on the road to recovery, thanks to Dr. Z requesting the MRI. Mrs. Linda Palmer Burlington, MA 01803 J.palmer1@rcn.com

  • Randy is the Physical Therapist and owner of the facility. Along with his wife, Dawn, they run a very professional office where he keeps appointments on time and makes sure to give individual attention to each patient that comes to see him. Randy is very focused on making sure each client receives the proper treatments and exercises to help them get back to optimal performance quickly. He has been great explaining the how's and why's of each exercise and treatment and in bringing you along at the speed you are comfortable with. Dawn handles the scheduling and billing and is wonderful about helping clients fit treatments into their busy schedules. I highly recommend Performance Lifestyles for Physical therapy whether you are an athlete or not.

  • The service was excellent. I have nothing bad to say about their service. They showed good communication with the billing. One time I showed up and my health insurance had run out and no one had let me know that this happened.

  • I had never been to PT before, but was fairly crippled with a back and hip problem and desperate. Todd tested me in a multitude of ways that showed all of my weaknesses and located painful spots, and then proceeded to give me simple exercises to do that would help me regain muscular balance. I told him when something hurt, and he would give me an alternative option.
He was great about pointing out behavioral habits I had that were damaging to my hip and back, and taught me new ways to move that helped instead. He even offered to video me with my phone as I did the exercises, so I would know how to do them correctly at home. Two months in, I am in far better shape, stronger, and better balanced, with much less pain. I hope to finish shortly, with a list of things I can do in the future if this problem comes back.
Along with Todd, I worked with at least three other therapists ( there was always someone watching me), and they all had different perspectives that were very helpful.
On the other hand, the front desk was fairly awful, with everything from scheduling mistakes to billing issues to a lack of a lack of acknowledgement of my existence as I stood there, waiting. Hard to believe these people work in the same office as these excellent therapists.

  • I went to see Randy for a chronic foot injury. He is excellent - professional, kind, explains what he is doing and why, and is a genuinely nice guy. Randy really took the time to assess my condition - it was not cookie cutter treatment. He noticed some things about my foot structure that no one had ever noticed before, and which my doctor later confirmed saying 'Your physical therapist is very astute and really knows his stuff!" I had been to another physical therapist before who did not help me at all,  but Randy had me running again in 8 weeks! Randy's wife Dawn is the office manager there and she is super nice too and worked with my ferocious insurance company when necessary. It is a very clean, professional, and friendly atmosphere.
I cannot recommend these folks highly enough. It is good to know they are there if I ever need them in the future!

  • I did not have a good experience. I felt like the first therapist I had just gave me a minimal set of exercises to do with little supervision/correction/assessment of my condition. Then I switched to another therapist and things got worse. He prescribed a very aggressive treatment plan. I expressed my concern about it but I foolishly followed his plan and that made my foot problem worse. I also found out that he didn't know the details of my condition, which I had explained to my first therapist. Either the second person didn't read the notes on my case or the first therapist didn't take any notes. The entire atmosphere there seemed unprofessional. I won't be going back. Hopefully other folks had better luck than I did.

  • I am very happy with the allergy department at the Lahey Clinic. Although I gave them a B for availability, I am usually able to make an appointment with a physician's assistant within a day or two for more urgent problems. When I first made appointments for my kids, as new patients, we were able to be seen by Dr. Saryan within a few weeks. However, as a returning patient looking for a yearly check-up, seeing Dr. Saryan could take months, depending on whether you are looking for an after school appointment. However, in contrast, when I first decided to have my kids seen by an allergist back in 2009-10, it would have taken at least 6 months to make an appointment for allergy testing at other allergy offices in the Lexington-Concord area. Since two of my kids were getting asthma symptoms due to their allergies, I didn't want to wait that long.
I like Dr. Saryan because he takes the time to hear and quot;the whole storyand quot; to evaluate what might be the cause of symptoms. He never rushes an appointment. This is very important with allergies because one might be allergic to several different things, and the doctor must select which allergens to test on the patient; you can't test every single possible allergen, because there are hundreds, so narrowing it down to most likely culprits is very important.
Dr. Saryan gives the impression that he is well read and really knows his specialty (which he should, since he is in charge of the department). He suggested that my kids get allergy shots. Two of the three decided to do this; those two get asthma symptoms during bad allergy seasons, so we decided it is worth the five year commitment so that they don't develop worse asthma. So far, the shots are going well.
The only thing I don't like about Lahey is that they charge for parking for regular appointments, but Dr. Saryan has nothing to do this. They do have parking validation for weekly allergy injections, though.

  • Randy provides fantastic treatment for whatever is ailing you. I've seen him for two separate treatments, one for my knee which I hurt running... and another time for my upper back for pains I was having. He's incredibly friendly and a great guy to chat with while he's providing treatment. It's a very relaxed environment. He runs the practice with his wife Dawn who's fantastic as well. They are both super nice, and Randy very obviously and clearly knows what he's doing.
I would absolutely recommend Randy if you need physical therapy... I will definitely contact him again if I ever need PT again.

  • They have a lot of satellite branches, but we mainly go the one in Burlington. The clinic is excellent. It's end-to-end, you go in there and they all talk to each other. If you see one doctor and they see that it is something else, they refer you within the clinic to another doctor and it certainly helps. It's good standard care. They specialize in a lot of things. My husband has been there for a while. He had prostate cancer surgery there. When there is one issue that comes up, they fast-track you to wherever there is something else that they think is critical. Because it is a large network of doctors, you can self-refer and they can help you. I have gone in for orthopedic issues and I have had hand surgery there. I have been there for gynecology. You can give birth to children there. They have emergency care over there. They are really very good.
