Garage Building reviews in Brookline

    NEW ENGLAND CONSTRUCTION GROUP
This is the best construction company I ever dealt with (and I have quite an experience since I just finished a three-year long major renovation project). The quality of craftsmanship is superb, their way of dealing with customers impeccable...and I could go on. And you know why? Because they care about what they do. And by the way, they listen to the customer in ways I have never seen before. Highly recommended

    W J McDonough Fence Co
We couldn't have made a better or more informed choice, when we hired McDonough Fence.
We had been putting- off dealing with the issue, because time and money
needed to be spent and design choices would have to be considered.
But, our FLIMSY trellis fence, was totally flattened by last year's,
huge avalanches from my neighbor's roof. (thank you, God...)
I had finally answered the question of, "Should we get a new fence?".
The dog could no longer go outside and my backyard was something people
stared at when they walked by.
I usually  work with tradespeople listed with Angie's - never
had a problem electrician, basement waterproofer, deck builder, etc. My
standards are high, as I am an Interior Designer, and have worked with
all best and all the worst. I interviewed 3 other companies from Angie's and Kevin, from McDonough, was my best "catch".
I did my due diligence, by researching thousands of fences,
which might be suitable for an 1887 building. When Kevin came by for the
walk-through, he looked at my choices and pointed out possible problems
with each .  We decided the style and he went to work measuring.  I
think I may have made myself a nuisance, because I wanted the top
railing be 5'0" from the ground (my lot is very un level), which caused
    some serious transit action.
The first day, they really did come on time, for the demo - it
took as long as he said.  The next days were filled with work, unless
called in the  event of rain. When finished, the paint stainer came back
for some touch-ups - another quality craftsman.  They were meticulous
with my property and they came in on time and right on budget. It is so much better that I imagined. It has given
my handsome home it's pride back  ,and it provides a place for my dog to do her doggy stuff.
The weeks and months following, my neighbors were starring for the right reasons.
.  Two neighbors, that are very unfriendly to us, actually
stopped to congratulate us on upping THEIR property value (we are at
the top of the street  and set the tone for the short private way).
Thank you, Kevin and crew! Come over after the next avalanche!

    REEDS FERRY SHEDS
Reeds Ferry Sheds is highly recommended by my family.  We were very impressed with the timely manner that we received our shed, from the designing over the phone to the actual installation.  The quality and workmanship exceeded our expecations!  The workers were very pleasant and didn't waste any time.  I have never seen a crew work with such great teamwork and complete a job so quickly, it was amazing to watch!  Definitely a five star company!!

    F Kempes General Contractor
The entire experience was excellent and without any problems.  The work was finished at exactly the bid price (which was very competitive with others I received) despite the inevitable issues that arose in dealing with a house that was nearly 150 years old.  Fernando was very pleasant to work with throughout the entire process, from the initial bid to the job completion.  In addition, he was always flexible in terms of small issues we had not discussed previously, such as how the shed exterior would blend in with the house.  His men arrived on time every day and totally cleaned up the work area at the end of the day, even sweeping saw dust off the driveway and using a magnet to pick up miscellaneous nails and staples that may have been on the ground.  Fernando himself generally came by each morning to see what had been done and to answer any questions that may have arisen.  In many places Fernando "overdid" to make sure that the work would last for years.  I would recommend him highly and without reservation -- I will recommend him to my friends for any construction work that they might have and will certainly use him again myself when and if the need arises.

    JFoster Homes
Jay oversaw the process personally, sourced the lumber, and gave us cost-saving options at every step. We did not choose every cost-cutting approach, but were grateful that he was sensitive to our budget. He is a structural engineer by training, so we felt comfortable with his approach. Furthermore, he has a very good sense of design, and has a strong sense of what works well with the rest of the house. As an example of the dedication he showed to our project: he personally milled custom molding (on his own lathe) because it would look better with the design. We had a great experience with Jay and his team, and will be working with them again.

    Hourihane Carpentry
Lenny Hourihane came to my house expecting to see plans for my project. Being new to a major project, I was not prepared so lenny advised me on what to do next. I appreciate his input and will use it to decide whether or not go ahead with the project.

    New England Stonemasonry Inc
He was excellent. He was very meticulous and intelligent. We think he is an engineer. They did a wonderful job. The price was fine.
