    Schmidt Painting
We were so incredibly pleased by the quality and professionalism of the folks at Schmidt Painting. Right from the very start I was impressed by how promptly Derrick Schmidt responded to my initial inquiry (under 24 hours, and while he was away on vacation), and followed up with an estimate (which was extremely reasonable). The crew members were professional and friendly, and extremely conscientious when it came to covering plantings, cleaning up at the end of each day of the job, etc. Notably Derrick and his wife were on site every day woking on the job. The other thing I really appreciated was how Derrick clearly explained HOW the job would be done - choice of paint, issues with wood that needed to be repaired, etc. We couldnt have been happier with how the job turned out. The quality of the work was outstanding and our house looks beautiful! It was not a straightforward project (we live in a refurbished barn with lots of windows and a high copula), and every little detail was attended to expertly. We recommend this company highly and would use them again in a second.

    Excel Painting
Jose and his crew have now painted our house twicequite a few years aparttheir work stands the test of time. The work is precise and high quality; he started the job when he said he would; his crew worked straight through and finished up within the time expected; and they were neat, well organized, and a pleasure to have around.

    BOURKE PAINTING INC
Bourke Painting came highly reviewed in my neighborhood. From my first phone call, Brian was very responsive, and then gave a very thorough walkabout to inspect the house so that he could give a proper bid. I had received lower bids, but it was clear after meeting with Brian that he REALLY knows his work. His insurance paperwork is all in order, and he is about quality, not shortcuts. He spotted areas of soft wood that no one else had noticed, and was able to talk me through exactly what the process would be for the job. We waited 2-3 weeks to start, and then once we started it was continuous - the team showed up at 7am and worked all day. The guys were focused and careful. They attended to every surface: they prepped, fully primed, caulked everything they needed to caulk - it was really impressive to see how hard everyone was working. We are thoroughly pleased with the entire project from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Brian and Bourke Painting. I look forward to hiring them again to do some reconstructive work on my wood porch.

Middlesex Paint and Restoration Services, LLC
We cannot say enough positive things about Tom and Middlesex Paint. Over the years, we have renovated three of our homes and worked with many different contractors, painters, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers. Middlesex Paint was one of the best of all the professionals with whom weve worked. Tom and his crew were all professional, trustworthy and diligent. They worked long hours and always treated our home with care. Their attention to detail, both in the actual paint job as well as site preparation and clean-up was impressive. They approached every stage of the project thoughtfully and with a high level of care. Tom was also spot on his estimate for the job, both in terms of duration and cost. Perhaps most importantly, the quality of their work was beyond what we had expected. We live in a 120+ year old home, so it was a challenging job. That said, their work on the house has resulted in a home that looks almost new. Unlike many painters, they took as much time preparing the home (patching, sanding, etc.) as they did painting it. In doing so, they ensured that all surfaces were clean, smooth and ready to receive the primer and paint. The results are spectacular, and we thank them for their diligence. We would not hesitate to hire them again.

    Dimitris Painting & Masonry
I am more than satisfied with Dimitris Painting & Masonry. Im in charge of ra 16 unit building which required: 1) Replacement and painting of the cedar shingles after years of wear. Work & Results: Carpentry & Painting Excellent! 2) Restoration of multiple rear escape wooden decks that required power washing, sanding, stain. In addition the metal stair system needed touching up- meaning sanding of rusts spots and painting of those areas. Work & Results: Excellent

    we painting and general services
Both jobs could not have gone better, and I say that without exaggeration. If I could give this company and its owner, Wilson, an A++++ rating I would. Before hiring Wilson and his crew to work on our house, we'd met with a number of other painting contractors. After those meetings, we were convinced that Wilson would make sure our 100+ year old and somewhat run-down house would be carefully, extensively and meticulously prepared before painting even began. Once the job began, Wilson and his crew actually exceeded those already high expectations. As for the painting itself, they took the time and care needed to paint perfectly the large house itself and the many house details, like the dentil moulding, the corbels, the window sashes, the storm window frames and the trim. They never cut corners and always addressed, in a manner that never made me feel I was asking too much, any and all concerns I had. On the day Wilson stained our porch deck, it turned out to be windy and alot of leaves and pollen blew onto stairs. When he came back to work on something else, Wilson saw how the stairs looked, wasn't happy with them and insisted on redoing them. The next year, he came back and did the same outstanding preparation and painting job on our detached garage. We'll be working with Wilson again this summer on another small painting job. I should add that in addition to doing incredibly careful, thorough, and skillful work, Wilson is the nicest, most pleasant, most responsible contractor I've ever worked with, and there have been many over the 18 years we've owned our old house. So I'll end this review by saying - HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE THE BEST!!

    Tom Curren Companies
Summary: If you don't have unlimited budget and time, Tom Curren does not want to talk to you. We were interested in Tom Curren for our two unit condo exterior paint job and request for an quote estimate. An agent came for an assessment early morning. He stressed on the perfection of Tom Curren and the meticulous care they put into provide customers with the best recommendation. After assessment, I asked when could I expect a quote. He said he will bring paint sample in for us to choose and he wants all condo owners to be present for another meeting with him to go over paint color, samples, and process. He stressed that he will provide us with a quote only if we schedule that second meeting with him because "it takes a long time and effort to prepare a quote." I asked for a ball park range and he still refused. After I insisted on knowing a ball park range just so I can report back to other condo owner before setting up the second meeting, he relented and promised to call me back for range. Obviously, he never call back with an estimate. UPDATE: the agent actually called back to apologize, but the conversation quickly turned into him questioning the honesty of my review. I will never work with this company again.

    Richard Allen Painting
My place was converted from really needing allot of work to a show place. People walk in and just look with wonder at the transformation. They worked in my place for 2 full weeks and are completely professional and tremendously hard working. if you find anything they will fix it. THEY ARE THE BEST! They caulked ALL of my baseboards and my shower. They addressed stains in my bathroom and ceiling. My bathroom color was not right. Richard went to the paint store and got the color correct. I have new Maple Andersen 400 woodright windows and worried about them because they were so expensive.. They cleaned, sanded and polyurethaned my windows and were super careful as they were with everything. I cannot say enough GOOD things about them. just so you know. Richard is a man of few words. After you call him, he will come to your house, write the contract and send it to you. He will appear at 8AM on the promised date, even if it is weeks in advance. I LOVE MY PLACE. One more thing. He also is the painter my condo manager calls to paint our condo

    JC Cleaning Services
If you are looking for someone to do a deck, I would recommend. If there is a lot of finish work, I would not recommend. Whatever you do, don't have them paint! They struggled with the french door and had issues with the company they ordered, what I ended up getting was not a very good door, they never weather stripped it correctly and when winter came I asked them to come back and finish, they made some appointments and never showed up. The best part is that they rerouted a radiator supply/return pipe and when it got cold, it froze and burst, when I removed the trim work and walls to get to the pipe I discovered that they didn't insulate a large section that the pipe ran thru, so now I have to rip out a lot of what they did to fix it. Now I have no heat! The painting was a mess, they applied too much paint so it looks sloppy and covered up some of the detail work, they are got paint all over everything and walked thru the house with paint on their shoes, they did clean the floors and did a great job, but they were not able to clean the paint off the patio. When i noticed that they used masking tape on the windows as painters tape, that was a mess to clean of the windows.

    Socelvic Co
I hired Socelvic to do a renovation of my apartment that included a complete redo of one bathroom, build a new bathroom, move a wall, and a variety of painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Socelvic was the contractor and I went with their electrical and plumbing subs. The project was a disaster. They did demolition on my apartment and did a terrible job of cleaning up. There was debris everywhere and the job site was unsafe and filthy. After demolition, they went away and did no work for 6 weeks. As this was a rental apartment, time was of the essence since I was losing rental income. They didn't seem to care about my schedule. There was very little communication. My calls, texts, and emails were only sporadically answered. Once the work began in earnest, the quality of the workmanship was terrible. They didn't protect my wood floors, so they got all scratched and needed to be refinished. Even though I gave them a detailed spreadsheet of the items to order for the renovation, they ordered and installed the wrong parts. They told me that they could get me a discount off Home Depot prices, but when I saw the purchase order, the prices were actually higher than if I ordered the items myself. They had no consistent crew working on the job, so I had to explain what I needed over and over. Junior Vicente was rarely at the site, so I had to talk directly with workers that spoke little or no English to explain what needed to be done. They put in a sewer vent pipe through the roof of the house and never sealed it off with a boot, so water leaked in through three floors of the house. Drywall was installed with huge gaps between the boards and insufficient nails. Electrical rough work was done even after the rough inspection. Waterproofing placed on shower walls was actually peeling off the wall. They installed tile over the peeling water proofing and unsealed wall boards. They told me that rough inspections were done and insisted that I pay 80% of the contract value upon rough completion. Unfortunately, I paid it. But the quality of the work was so bad, that I finally had to fire them. I checked in with the building inspector after I fired them, and found out that they had not done the rough inspection after all. They did rough electrical and rough plumbing, but not the building and fireproofing inspection. And they had closed all the walls, which are not supposed to be closed until the building inspection. The inspector required that I rip out all the walls in the bathrooms to inspect. When the walls were removed, we saw that there was insufficient insulation, no fire stopping in the pipe chase, cut studs that were not properly reinforced, and no vent piping from the bathroom ventilation units. I had to pay another contractor to do demolition, and then fix all the problems. I had to buy new ventilation units (the ones I had specified in the first place), all new tile (since the tiled walls had to be demolished. I lost thousands of dollars having to fix the mess they made. And to add insult to injury, I tried suing in Small Claims Count and Junior Vicente didn't show up twice when trials were scheduled. Please, please, please DO NOT hire Socelvic. I hope no one has to go through what I just went through.
