Kitchen Tune Up Southeast Mass & Rhode Island
The experience was great and was a pleasure to have the Kitchen Tune Up team and their expertise!
The project was completed with no problems and was even finished before schedule.  Everyone involved seemed happy with and proud of the finished product and I feel I can call them at anytime for future assistance.
I would certainly recommend their services to anyone looking to improve their home.

    Let Bud Do It
The work he agreed to do was to remove the old sink, base cabinet and countertop, install the new cabinets, cut the sink opening, install the new countertop, and take away all debris.
Day 1 Thursday, he didn't arrive till after 10 am.  I was surprised that he was alone, since the sink was the old porcelain on iron and was heavy.  He had to hammer it into pieces to get it out of the house.  He then cut up the old metal base cabinet and took that out in pieces also.  He offered, for additional cost, to remove the old plaster behind the sink, put in insulation and replace with drywall. I agreed to this additional cost.  At the end of the day he asked me what I was going to do with the debris in the driveway!  I reminded him that he had agreed to take it away.  He said he didn't remember saying that but it is stated in his written estimate.  He agreed to take all debris away.
Day 2 Friday, he didn't arrive till almost 11 am.  He patched some wall seams but said it needed more than one coat.  He installed the new base cabinets and began work on the new countertop installation.  His saber saw wasn't working, so I lent him my jigsaw.  He broke my jigsaw.  He then used a reciprocating saw to finish cutting the sink hole and totally mangled the sink opening.  He kept saying the sink was too big for the base cabinet and kept enlarging the hole - mangling it further.  He then said he would have to come back to finish the countertop install, but that the plumber could start reconnecting.  He rushed out to an appointment.
I called the plumber who told me he could not reconnect pipes until the countertop was attached. I communicated this to Bud by phone that night and he said he would come back Monday to finish.
Day 3 Monday.  Bud came back on Monday to finish the work and attach the countertop. It didn't look to me that the countertop was attached fully, but he said it was attached well enough and that the plumber could come back. He removed some of the debris but his truck couldn't fit everything.  He said he would come back another day for the rest.  He took my jigsaw with with him saying he would get it fixed since he felt responsible for it breaking.

The plumber came by and checked the countertop and determined it was not fully attached and he was appalled at the terrible job done on the sink opening.  He confirmed that he could not complete the plumbing reconnect until the entire countertop was fully and firmly attached.
On Thursday (now one week w/o sink) I had my kitchen consultant from Home Depot come to look at the work done so far and he was also appalled at the poor work and said the countertop probably have to be remade which he later confirmed with the manufacturer.  Bud apparently had not recognized that the sink clips had come attached to the sink and should have been removed before he tried to fit the sink in. This caused him to believe the sink was too large for the cabinet.  The kitchen consultant confirmed that the sink bowl had plenty of room in the sink base but that the opening had been made too large and was mangled and the laminate was chipped off around opening.
In addition, we noted that according to the installation guide for the sink, there were 4 brackets that should have been attached to the inside of the sink opening before fitting the sink in.  These were not attached because Bud had told me that he didn't know what the brackets were for.  The brackets were described in Step 6 of the guide.  I can only assume he didn't read the installation guide fully.
The countertop was moving around and appeared to be attached by only one screw into one corner of one wall cleat. There were 2 other screws in the opposite corner cleat that completely missed the countertop.  Also the 2nd piece of countertop and supporting panel were loose and had not been joined.  The countertop must be joined and attached to the cabinets.
I had a phone conversation with Bud and told him all this.  He acknowledged that he didn't use the correct type of saw, but he continued to blame the problem on the Home Depot people not getting the correct size cabinet and sink.  He mentioned that maybe the countertop people could put a metal flange over the hole to cover the mangled opening and the chipped laminate. In addition, he mentioned that he had spent labor beyond his estimate and was out $200 already!  He told me to call him back when I found out if the countertop could be fixed and he wouldn't be able to come back for a week.
I've left him 2 messages telling him we need to talk, the countertop has to be remade, I wanted him to make good on his mistakes.  He has not returned any of my calls.
I've had to order a new countertop and it will cost me another $900 to have remade and installed,  I'm out a tool (which he still has!), I have debris still in my driveway, and now I have to hire someone else to finish his work.  Worst experience I've ever had with home improvement.  What should have taken 2 days to do has now turned into me being without a kitchen sink for over 2 weeks and will probably take another 2 weeks to be completed.
Don't let this man near your project.  He's incompetent and misrepresents his experience, he doesn't have the correct tools, doesn't make good on his mistakes, and leaves you in the lurch.

I contacted Chris at CHGC on a recommendation from a friend. He arrived the next day to discuss my situation. He was very sympathetic as I and my son have allergies. We discussed the work and the next day someone was there removing the carpet and padding. We found two of the floors were damages underneath but one nice hardwood floor was in good shape. They worked with me on flooring options and I chose to refinish the living room hard wood floors and to install laminate wood flooring in the dining room and one bedroom. It came out fantastic and over one year later is holding up very well. I asked if they could install this cool pattern linoleum tile type flooring in my bedroom and they did no problem. I was very pleased with the work and have since actually called a few times to change a light fixture and to fix my toilet and kitchen sink. The company apparently has electrician and plumbing services as well. I would recommend them for anything you need done at your home. The workers were all very nice and personable. The work was done quickly and neat. I didn't even know they were there.

They customized to fit our needs without telling us what they thought we needed, which was very important. They listened to what we needed and helped us get the cabinets that were right for us and not what they thought was right. We would definitely use them again.

They are currently doing work for my neighbor; my neighbor really liked their work. I had a very good experience with them. They did whatever I wanted them to do. They were very dependable and easily accessible. They were very good. The workmen were great. It was a very positive experience. Their price was very reasonable for what I got.

Got a quote for new kitchen cabinets as part of a remodeling job. The price for the cabinets was in line with other quotes I got. They were clear about price to tear out and dispose of the old cabinets ($500). I was looking for a more complete package though as I had a very old kitchen and everything from the floor to the ceiling I was looking to replace. The person at the office was only involved in selling cabinets, not in the big picture of the project so in the end I went with a contractor who did cabinets and most of the other jobs I had in mind. Kitchen Design had sub contractors they call for the various tasks but I wasn't looking for that, I just wanted a contractor who could do 80% of the work I was looking for.

The fence was falling down a month later. I've called him several times. At first he would promise a return to my home, but then he stopped answering. It took months to get the fence and deck up after he took my deposit. I had to pay someone else to fix the fence.
