Claudio and his crew were very professional. The quality of his work is outstanding. There was constant communication about the job and his response was excellent. I would hire him again and will on the next project.

Full renovation of the apartment including Kitchen and Bathroom was done by Michael Rocha. He and his co-worker did a great job and project was done on time. It took them 9 days fully to renovate Kitchen. New appliances, cabinets, flooring, and electrical work was done. We had to open kitchen entrance door wider so that large fridge can be placed inside. Michael gave us very unique ideas of placing white LED lights under Kitchen cabinets. They did a very good painting job. The bathroom was fully renovated within 7 days. Everything was installed brand new, including large bathtubs, 12 very bright LED lights, including one on top of the bathtub. Lighting was distributed with three different switches to control it at a different part of the bathroom. All the wall of the bathroom and flooring they install large white tiles. They also installed two large mirror cabinets, toilet, vanity cabinets, Granite countertop and new sink. Every day they used to clean the area before leaving and at the end of the project they cleaned whole are cleaned and beautiful. I will highly recommend Michael to anyone who would like to hire for their project.

    Maximum Renovations
This job could not have gone more smoothly. I was immediately at ease with Fernando from his first visit, and he did a wonderful job on my bathroom. He had 100% of my trust from beginning to end. I had been dreading the remodel after a leak from the unit above, so I had put off the job for over a year--even though that meant a bathroom with no ceiling or lighting. I wish I had found Fernando sooner! He tried is best to make the time I had without a working bathroom to be as short as possible, with work being done on my apartment almost every day. He accommodated me even when I picked tough-to-install tile patterns, giving just the right amount of guidance but also giving me the freedom to build this bathroom according to my vision. He was also very responsive; I never waited more than a few hours for a response. The end result was EXACTLY what I wanted. No project is without its challenges, but any time an issue arose, Fernando was on it immediately and limited inconvenience at every opportunity. Fernando will absolutely be my first call the next time I need to remodel.

    Bay State Refinishing & Remodeling
Bay State Remodeling completely remodeled our 565 sf condominium in Brighton, MA, including all new kitchen and bath. It was an excellent experience from beginning to end. They were very accommodating to our needs and design changes. David, our project manager, was wonderful, a great communicator and very willing to meet with us on FaceTime as well as in person because we are split between coasts. Bay State assigned a crew to our project who worked with David on most aspects of the project and were knowledgeable in many areas of construction techniques. Mearcelu is a real craftsman when it comes to custom moldings and finish carpentry. The other team members were conscientious, very hard working and always responsive to any requests or concerns we expressed. The whole crew met the challenge of working on a 100-year-old building without a single plumb wall or right angle with great results. Ray, the owner, Roger, the office engineer, and David worked together seamlessly to maintain schedule and their contract documentation is superb. Bay State Remodeling are a very professional group and I felt their main goal was ensuring we are happy customers. We are!

    Pessoa Construction Inc.
The purchase was through Angie's List. I would never purchase through Angie's List again. It was very difficult to get in touch with the company after the purchase. Angie's List would do nothing to help. When we finally got someone to look at the job it was okayed and then stalled. A different person had to come out who seemed to have no knowledge of the prior conversation. Job was okayed again but slowly expenses were added on and services taken away. Most items were added after the gutting so we didn't have much of a choice. The deal said removal was included but we were charged for that. Again, we contacted Angie's List and they said it had nothing to do with them. It said a choice of 4-5 tiles. There turned out to be no choice. We stopped contacting Angie's List and just wanted to get through it so we could be done with Angie's List. The company did not cover our items or remove anything from the bathroom to do the work. They turned a 3-day job into a 6-day job during which time they did nothing to make our bathroom usable. Everything was covered in dust. The workers were polite and personable. The job was well done in the end (we believe) and we don't think they were gouging us with the price because there was additional work that needed to be done. But the additional work could easily have been predicted (as it had been in an estimate we got almost a year ago) and the possibility of having to pay extra after the job began could have been mentioned. If we'd known the full cost we probably wouldn't have done it. The only reason we did it was because it was a deal. Not such a deal after all. Don't trust Angie's List. I would hire the company again if I was confident I was getting a good deal. I would not rely on them at all to protect any of my stuff (things fell off the shelf in the next room and broke from their work) and I would not expect them to play backup at all. I certainly wouldn't do it through Angie's List since AL takes some of the money from the deal (it sounded like they took almost 5%, but I don't really know) and that obviously leads to the nickle and diming that so annoying. But because Angie's List is so unresponsive to questions and problems with a product purchased through them, I really feel like I was ripped off by them and not by Pessoa Construction.

Rodrigues put up the tiles in my kitchen for the backsplash. I bought my own tiles and he came in to install. He did an excellent job! I would HIGHLY recommend him for tiling jobs. Very friendly and nice too!

    Mike Torchio & Sons,Inc.
Mike and his team were excellent! How they managed to complete this complete bathroom renovation in the nick of time was amazing! They worked long, long days and weekends in order to get our small but VERY OLD bathroom redone for new tenants scheduled to move in. The bathroom was taken right down to the studs and subfloor and built back up again. Nothing fancy, and a tiny bathroom at that (5' x 7' literally), but it still needed a lot of work and Mike and his team got it done for us. Thank you!!!

Albert was very responsive and punctual. I was very specific about what I needed and where everything needed to go. The design ignored my requirements and seemed more of a random rendering that anything I asked for. Several emails back and forth, the design seemed closer. But, then I discovered that the measurements were not accurate. Albert was willing to come back and redo the measurements. However, I was not willing to invest more time into this. This was useful as a first step to designing my new kitchen, I just wish there were more attention to detail.
