    Antrim Coast Painting LLC
David and his crew of Jamal and Chris did a FANTASTIC job! The prep work alone was meticulous, thorough and beyond what wed experienced the last time we had the house painted. David consulted with us every step of the way if anything unexpected came up or a decision needed to be made. His care and professionalism shows in how beautiful our 100 year old home looks once again! His attention to the details of the job reflected his true passion for the work that he does. What a pleasure it was to have him restore our old, weathered house to its former glory.

It went excellent. Brian, the gentleman who came, (Whom I never met) did a fantatsic job. I just left the keys in a predetermined location as I live in a differnt town. This was the house I grew up in which I was finally selling. From an email i sent to "Handyman Matters" "Dear Sirs, I just want to give kudos for a job well done. Brian did a fantastic job with all the various tasks  I was needing help for.   First off, when I pulled into the driveway Saturday and saw that my old attic door was in the yard, I was happily surprised. Wasn't something I would have expected Brian (or anyone for that matter) to do. Figured he would take the parts off the door & just leave it in the attic, but he went the extra mile!!!   Second, I also had brought some paint with me to paint the new attic door (as I had a feeling since it was an odd size), Brian would have to just buy a plain door & cut to dimensions. Again I was surprised in that Brian had actually painted the door!!! Again that was above and beyond IMHO. Plus he did a great job on the door itself.   Finally, he also finished caulking the bathroom upstairs and at first I didn't notice. but he also applied some touch up paint to the tub (which it was very much in need of). It really made a heck of a difference and again he went above and beyond. The bathroom presents much better becaiue of that.   The many other tasks he did a great job on as well.   I found your company on Angies list & I am very glad I did!" All the work executed was very well done and helped me out greatly as I was in the process of preparing to sell the house. Even my Real Estate Agent was impressed with the quality of the work.

Went very well. It is an old house so nothing is easy. Took a little longer than planned because of Non-plumb doors. Old doors were not insulated so new doors are efficient and house is warmer.

    Davos Contracting
Home Depot arranged to have Davos install a new door that I purchased at the Watertown, MA store...Davos is one of their contractors. Although my experience with Home Depot was horrific (due to 5 doors arriving either damaged or having the wrong in-swing) I have nothing but great things to say about Davos. They were extremely professional and incredibly helpful in working the install around Home Depot's multiple screw-ups. The installer (Dave) did an amazing job and I would not hesitate to hire Davos again without dealing with Home Depot.

    All Out Deleading
Peter was in contact with me at all times and he really handled every part of the project carefully. I was very happy with the process and the outcome. I told him about the short time frame I had so he was able to get everything done on his tight schedule. The work was done quickly. I had about 14 new windows installed and delead the door trims and parts of baseboards. Everything was left nice and clean after all the work was done. I would definitely recommend them!

First I'll say this: the painting of the side rails on our new porch was fine.
It was the staining of the decking that was the problem. We hired this company because we've seen them in our neighborhood and their van says "attention to preparation", which sounded promising. We were not surprised with the price tag for the project which we felt was on the high side, but we expected good quality. But they only put one coat of stain on the decking. Even immediately after it was done, the wood looked dry and uneven, as if it was longing for another coat. Interestingly there was one small area on the porch where my husband had tested the stain color with a small strip. Thus in that one small area, the deck received two coats.
We called the owner to voice our concern and he said that one coat was standard, that was what was on the label, etc. We pointed out that the only part of the porch that looked right was the spot where it had received the test coat. He said he was sure it would be fine. This is not our first home, nor our first porch or deck: we've dealt with outdoor wood surfaces for years, and we knew it was not right.
Well, we waited through the winter and indeed, the porch was not fine. As we predicted, it soaked up a great deal of dirt, got rough and unfinished. The one spot on the porch with 2 coats of stain looked just great.
We had another contractor come back, prep the wood again and re-stain it. It never came back looking as good as that one little patch that had got the double coat of stain from the first. So effectively, they ruined our nice new porch.
"Attention to detail" is a nice slogan but apparently it doesn't include using common sense and doing thiings the way the customer wants them done.

Bruce was great to work with. He was a prompt and clear communicator.
He was a little late to our meeting time, but he called ahead to let me know he was running late and it did not affect the over time (2 hours) he had to devote to the project.
He was very thorough in completing the task and was focused on doing the job completely and correctly. After the hinge screws were replaced and the door no longer was hitting the floor, the alignment of the door was now off and the top of the door was touching the doorway and could not be closed. Also, two deadbolts and doorknob were no longer aligned to latch properly.
He resolved all these issues meticulously by sanding the top of the door until it cleared the opening, and using a chisel to adjust the deadbolt and doorknob openings until they latched properly.
Thanks Bruce for your great work!

I received prompt response to my request to do repairs. They were professional, worked
quietly, and gave me important suggestions about fixtures and possible  repairs.
When they saw that the toilet had a leak they went out and purchased a new toilet and installed it immediately.

I admired their skills, honesty and integrity. Liked the way that the owner treated his workers.
I plan to use their services again to paint the inside of my apartment.

    United Remodeling
I use United for all of my home repair needs as they operate right up the street from me and can usually make it a point to fit me in their schedule.  I've used them countless times in the past and can always count on them to do a great job.  What I like most about them is that they are willing to take on ANY kind of work and they have the expertise to accomplish the task.  That's United's competitive advantage- they really can perform nearly any type of remodeling work and I've yet to hear them say "no" my requests, unless it was to give me an alternative solution that costs less money.
They are my "go-to" guys for my home repair needs.

    Olde Bostonian
We had purchased a new condo and were planning to close with a week to do repairs/upgrades prior to welcoming new renters.  Olde Bostonian was able to fit us in/accommodate our schedule by having their crew come out on a Sunday to fix the windows, which weren't up to code since they didn't have locks and didn't open/close properly.  The crew did the work in about half a day and cleaned up nicely afterwards.  The only complaint I have is that I paid with a check on the day the work was done, but they later double charged me using the credit card I had given them for the deposit.  Then it took almost a week to get the credit card charge reversed.  Otherwise I had a great experience.
